Super cool BO5 to watch. WC3 still remains possibly the most entertaining game to watch at a high/pro level. Thanks Grubby for keeping the hype alive and giving us entertaining, wholesome content to watch. Really enjoy your commentary and great outlook on things. Subscribed!
okay so after watching Your videos for weeks now reclaiming my nostalgia, this time while only seeing 1 min of this masterpiece of an entertrainment i decided to finally hit subscribe.
That was breathtaking. To paraphrase an history quote : "What did just happen ?" "Grubby just mobilised every unit of the Orcs and sent them into war".
A breathtaking series of games. Dat comeback at 1:18:40… Heavenly. A couple very noob questions on Grubby's strategic decisions; I hope somebody more experienced, to whom these choices are obvious, can break this down. 1. Why shamans over spirit walkers? In the first few games in particular, where Kevin used driads? I understand that mass shamans were used in order to spam purge against treants, and trap disengaging units with purge's slow effect; Bloodlust is nice, but dispelable by driads. But spirit walkers' dispel is aoe, so it could catch multiple treants at once; trapping could be done by wolf riders; and spirit link, while also dispelable, takes multiple driad dispels to deal with, per cast. And with Tauren Totem already built for spirit walkers, it'd be cheaper to transit to taurens. And shamans die to piercing damage, while walkers can at least go incorporeal? 2. Why no burrows on expos? Even when Grubby needs to build a new burrow, and he has an expo, he builds in on the main base. But he also uses burrows to great effect when defending the main, so wouldn't a burrow on expo help defend the expo in a similar manner? He builds shops on expos, so it's not just a matter of not wanting to lose investment if the expo goes down.
@@TheRealArmor Their miniscule HP is often enough and often more of a problem than most people think. They have small hit box, and you can put them almost anywhere you want on the battle field, making them harder for melee to move to and hit. They're a pain in the ass to click on to in the middle of a fight, so it actually has to take your attention away... for what *seems* like a minor inconvenience. You don't want to overkill them by focusing them with too many units. They can also be spammed, so wasting your time running into range of them to take them out often isn't worth it.
4th game was quitely close. I didn't expect grubby to win it, If the keeper had one nanometer more mana he could have Entangled the Farseer, which was very riskily outbuying scrolls of healing. Somehow grubby knew it wasn't enough though or rather said just lucky. With the farseer kill Kevin had much more Exp, and grubby much less money (tavern buy)! just look n811 had the expo all time, After destroying the exp of grubby and teleporting he didn't need to attack with only archers , could have added tech units finally.
Kevin played really well. Didn't expect him to perform that good. Saw him play some weeks ago against Hitman and he got destroyed. Maybe the price money encouraged him 😆
Naw, didn't you watch the opening, it was the offense from grubby - chicken comparison with nightelf or some thing like that. Listen to that SOUND the chicken makes as he challenges
Naw I'd say the mixing up and awesome handling with unconventional stuff but "making it work" even with normal stuff, but also using his "old stuff" was so intersting
After watching your WC3 games for more than a year now, i finally bought the game. It surprised me as well, how entertaining to play the game. 20 years old game and still a lot of fun to play.
About 2-3 years ago, Grubby had this strat SH first and I loved it and many people requested him to play it very often. He was considering it a cheese until he started winning vs good players. I think he was struggling a bit vs UD and NE with the new metas that were on the rise and he tried something different which lead to amazing wins with SH first. Now, seeing him with with it was just amazing. Fast level 3 on SH as well as some decision making mistakes on game 5 here showed how strong this strat could be if you're not sure what to do vs it. As usual, Grubby did not disappoint! I am amazed with the level of commentary he still manages to put in as well as the passion and competitiveness he still has! I have no words about the level of enterntainment this guy has provided me with. I was a sub for about 2 years and due to these vids Im considering to start watching the stream again as I once used to. Just FYI, i messaged him a few times to speak about stuff and the fact that he pays attention to so many individuals with the huge fanbase he has is just amazing. P.S. Myself and hundreds of more have been asking him to play dota for soooooo long and he said no for various reasons. I go away for an year or so and come back seeing he's smashing dota. :D What a MELON ....
This was extremely fun!!! Thought the opponent had a very strong starting games vs Grubby. I was so nervous for my man! Hahaha! Game 5 was a surprise cheese but still a happy game.
Bo5, cheese is totally normal somewhere, it adds danger and the enemy has to scout more or play more save vs you in general, and at least sometimes, while you play smth normal. Yea quitely fun. So fun, i didn't watch it in one row, cause too good to just consume it half awake haha. Like eating in a 1000$ restaurant but not being hungry or watching a movie while eating, you gotta appreciate it.
What an entertaining series. Super fun to watch, and just outstanding. Kevin plays very well and is a true gentleman. Shadow hunter serpent wards FTW. I am sure Kevin is going to hear that sound from the wards in his sleep after this match. LOL
Although we all know you’re main is orc, it is good to see many games that aren’t. They are refreshing cause in my mind all races are fun 🤘 keep crushing it grubby
Dude, you don't need to just do what the pros do. Anyone can have fun in the game and casually experience it. You can play it for fun from time to time, host a custom map vs AI. The key is: Not too easy! There are some nice 4v4, or 3v3 maps. Let ONE random person join or invite, and play 2v4 normal ai, or 2v3/5, and what ever. If even 2v3 beats you, then simply reduce difficulty of some bots to easy (or vice versa add more bots). It can be quite fun and good games without (much) skill, and this modes make sure you can actually have some game. AI ws a always fun in RTS games, becaues you can set the difficulty and it can always be challenging but doable to realize something you have in mind. Kinda casually. Again the difficulty is totally adaptable and that's the point. That being said it can add fun having experienced a vs humans game lately on such map (bad games) to then see the difference of playability. Like a cold coke at a hot day, you know. And of course this is not for people who are strong pvpers seeking that extra challenge of a human enemy, this is for people who didn't play for some time, or i.e. perhaps only the campaign. The game offers a lot to experience some multiplayer like vibes without having to spend hundreds of hours. Also a human ally certainly adds the multiplayer atmosphere and teamplay for some time, either just casually or until you are better. And why 3 to 5 enemies? Extra slashing, extra fun, aaand experience for heroes. Personal choice. I personally always liked this to try out heroes(combos) and have them level high, more reliably but still with some thrill, when i was not playing the game actively (anymore). It's surprising how well some combos fare vs AI while others not at all. Or... I always liked this to simply to get an Army I want without getting rushed to death by Ghoul All-ins, Wyfern, or 3on1 in 4v4 hu games when I'm not even ready for 1v1. Side note: There are some cool youtubers who bring some real fun AI challenges to the screen. PS: From playing casually these were also good times and actually raising skill effectively, over time, just by having fun with the game... beat human players in Versus. -> Treat it as a game! (= you decide!) -> Profit.
Grubby truly still the master of strategy in warcraft, the micro/eco management isn't what its used to be... but damn that brain still goes hard in the paint.
omg in the second game the STR tome you picked up with TC at 30:08 was driving me crazy the whole game.. i was like but take that tome its there ples take it ples omg :))) thanks for doing it.. but you were sneaky about it as hell is that some challenge to torture people like me?:))
38:30 don't you need a break after such game? Like 5 minutes. I mean I am exhausted just by watching that rather active but nice game 🙂 PS: Can someone explain to me, why the enemy played Panda vs Orc melee? Seemed unusual to me.
In every Grubby's video there is a moment when I think "wow, I have no clue how to play this game". In this case was the second match when he spent hex on a WISP, but not on the Alchemist to interrupt healing wave. *shrug*
Can be good as a 2nd hero for human, too. Brilliance aura from the archmage ensures he has plenty of mana for haze/flame combo. You see it sometimes vs. human or orc
Holy crap, increadible play by both of you guys. But I wonder, where went all of kevin's money in the last game? He didn't have any (out of the ordinary) units, items or buildings? While Grubby had like 5+ grunts, which is at least 1k gold.

Sc2 definetly more entertaining
Grubby game 2: Where are my taurens, didn't I make taurens?
Kevin game 3: Where are my chimaeras, didn't I make chimaeras?
kekw

Much appreciated :D
Thats nothing, I bought the bloody thing after between 10-15 years of not playing
@@MartinP279 noooo. You do not need to buy reforged. The original classic key is all you need :-) (and even only reign of chaos)

Wow I did not expect snakes to be the strategy Kevin couldn’t beat
Especially the last game. He tried to go dryads but just couldn't keep em out to abolish magic
@@TheRealArmor snakes are imune to abolish magic
@@alexanderxyz6146 Whoa. Honestly I didn't even think about that. Though, I guess with their miniscule HP it's not exactly imba

game 4 so sick
Wow, that was an absolutely amazing comeback. What an absurdly good game four. The reverse sweep is real!
This is someone who studied you over a long period of time and shot their shot at the right time.
GG! Great BO5. That 4th game was intense 😮
shadowhunter first with snakes was the way to go, they can't be dispelled by wisps unlike the farseer wolves
Hex in Grubby's hands is so very powerful. Great watch.
Epic battles Grubby! I watched this over 2 days during work. :ggclap
sick mirror image dispel on that acid bomb, wauuw
I feel like Kevin unintentionally worked the rust off your play as you slowly got back into the groove and dominated.
Best intro! And great series. Was fun to watch.
I watched the entire video 2 times as an appreciation of its beauty
didnt look at the video length but then I heard 'best of 5' pogchamp so excited for 1 and a half hour video

Next showmatch: Best of three, all three games played simultaneously in three instances of WC3
What the heck was that Grubby! Hell of a game, those snakes saved the day
Glad you were able to keep your honor. But even if you lost your dollar, you're a great player.
Yea Probably wouldn't have uploaded it, or presented it with much clickbait then.

I thought game 4 was the end of the series but then you killed keeper and made the comeback great match.

Are Orc heroes just op or why is it that Orcs rarely or never use tavern heroes?
Great video. More of these, please! ;)
Very enjoyable, thanks grubs
Nice games ❤

Only NE.
Orc also worth too.

Maybe he was making an expo that was simply ignored?
sheesh what a nice showmatch!
Game 4 was wowowowow!
gotta find my motivational and inspirational chicken.
In game 2 why make so many shaman against dryads?
He had you in G3 and G4, but I imagined you weren't at your 100% not burrowing at expo. We will watch his career with great interest.
ONE DOLLAR?! Jesus the stakes were never this high Grubby. Hope you don't break the bank and can still take Cassandra out on dates.

Game 4 was awesome!
respect to both players👌
TC is your best hero. He's all the brute force you will need
Love the trash talk!
