I'm so glad you got to do this, Jesse, and that you found the particular team you did. I've been reading about and researching Medieval warfare most of my life and while jousting wasn't an option, it is fantastic to see a woman who's been involved in it for so long. And yes, I was thrilled with the line about female and male armor looking identical! You don't have to be a jouster to be a woman and get **really disgusted** with how much ridiculous armor is out there for women in Fantasy/Science Fiction. I liked also how they emphasized that the armor should be comfortable and flexible and how they showed even fitting you into someone else's can cause a change in movement range, or comfort itself. Armor for a battlefield would look and feel slightly different than tournament armor because it would need to be reinforced differently, weighed and fitted differently, but I also think Tilting/Jousting is a great choice to do a demonstration with for this video. I loved that they explained about the weight distribution as well. I got to wear chain mail a few times and it was a bit of a shock at first, but once it was on properly I certainly understood about how the weight distributes. I hope nothing pinched too badly and that it was fun!
Very interesting! We have all heard about knights in armour but to see you putting it on let's us understand it much better. Thank you for doing this. Very educational!
I just kept thinking of the Tin Man, from the Wizard of Oz! I imagine in the days back then, the armour was more than likely even heavier than how it’s made these days. It would have been nice to see you sitting on a horse, to hear how you felt with all the armour on. Thanks for sharing that with us! Happy Trails! 🙏🙌✝️✡️❤️
Actually some armor was lighter than what Jesse tried. Combat and Tournament armor was different, because of where you needed to concentrate the deflecting pieces and weight. Then of course chain main was lighter than plate armor.
I admire you, Jesse, for agreeing to try this. You are such a good sport! I wonder which took more nerve-- jousting or jumping off that cliff in Africa. Both made my hands sweat just to watch.
I found this exciting because I never knew about this competition before now, don’t know why. I think it would be exciting also to attend one of the games. That is what I want to see next.
Just fascinating Happy New Year and best wishes from 🇨🇦 Looking forward to seeing more updates on the new property and hoping to be settled there before Christmas.
Oh Jesse, you are such a good sport. I know that wasn't easy, in multiple ways. What a fascinating demo, though. I've never seen the armoring process, or heard much about the sport in modern day. Fantastic!
tHIS IS FASINATING!!! Never would have guessed how all those pieces came together....very interesting to see you move around in it. I hope we get to see you get on a horse with all that gear on. Many thanks!!!! So educational 😙😙😙😙😙😙🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙
Can you see anything out of that helmet?? I hope so! I bet it would be a lot harder to get onto the horse wearing all that armor! 😮 plus what would your horses think? You know how horses can spook easily at something new they have never seen before and that armor sure would count as a new sight!! Very cool you tried this! ❤
It was a special experience. Looking forward for the other videos to come out!
I've said it before and I'll say it again- Jesse is my KNIGHT in SHINING ARMOR!!!
That was so cool to witness. Jesse did it with so much grace. He looks fabulous in armour.

It just shows how awkward it must have been to go into battle and fight with armour on. Jesse well done you for having a go.
Jousting armor was generally heavier and more clunky than battle armor.
Too funny! Looks like he's going to fall on his face with every step. Great entertainment & educational, too. Loved it - thanks.

Never seen anyone get into armor before, what a process. Cool! Jesse looks great in it, so romantic like a fairytale.

WOW Dear One, you are a brave man! All I can think of is..."I've fallen and I can't get up"...hahaha Love it.
I love how you call Jesse "Dear One" so beautiful.
A knight in shining armor...thank you for sharing this fun video. Love the history you bring to us. ❤
What a good sport! Jesse, that was so interesting and educational.
Wow! Fascinating!
Watching them suit you up & then admiring all the fine details that go into creating a suit of Armor...fascinating.
That was absolutely fascinating.
Maybe its inappropriate to say, but what a handsome knight Jesse makes.... I think a lot of men wouldn't fight such cuteness
I want to see how quick matt could get Jessie out of his armour
It’s open in the back so no need to
Jesse couldn't be any cuter !🐎
I love watching a joust saw my first one at 13yrs old in 1983 and was hooked ❤
Jesse looks good, as always. Reminds me of C3PO in the Star Wars movies.

Imagine getting on the horse
Was no problem. Some knights even did not need their stirrups to get up.
Imagine having to have to go pee 😮
Wow I LOVED this!!!!! What a neat experience Jesse!!!!
This is soooooo cool! Thanks for sharing this!! Prince Charming 😊
Wow, I've never seen this process & all the pieces up close
Just fascinating
