Perkz just proved something amazing that as a former and one of the world's best midlanders he adapted the ADC role and beat most of the world-class ADCs and within 1year of the role change in his career, he got to get on worlds finals. This actually makes G2 very flexible in terms of drafting as perkz can play any champ within mage or ADC role.
I agree, but Perkz hasn't been successful playing mages in this tournament. I think it's hard to switch between the different mindsets of mage/adc in back-to-back games. Regardless, his transition into a top-tier adc has been incredible.
His xayah was almost always the source of damage at the last second of the teamfight and Im just amazed that his team knows when to tank like perkz is literally untouchable as the team uses their life as a bait for perkz to deal damage and it was just outstanding like the trust in each other of g2 is so massively incredible and it's unlike anything I've ever seen

It just shows that every member of G2 can carry. Absolutely phenomenal!
Watching this today is so.... cant really discribe the emotions. Tears of Joy hearing the crowd (no more bcause of f***ing corona), tears of Joy watching G2 playing against SKT... and a brocken Heart to know what has followed after that great series in the Semi-finals. Lets go G2!!!

NA should take some big notes... You don't need imports to win at worlds... Trust in your regions players and develop your talent there. I followed LoL since season 1 worlds. I have to say this is the best best of 5 match ever played in my opinion. the hype, the build up, the match itself. everyone was amazing. the only thing lacking was that it's a 4 game series not a 5 game series. but nonetheless. i think this match would top my list.
Man what a win for G2 despite playing wihout baron in most of the games they still manage to win against SKT, take note that even dragons are in favor of SKT. Congrats G2!
G2 really remind me of M5. Not because of their style of play, but the nuances they're bringing to the meta. They are clearly playing the map differently than what were used to. Conceding buffs in favor of map control and starting fights when they know they can win them. Their strategy has counterplay, but they seem to adapt quickly. I'm sure they'll give it to FPX too.

SKT was an easier opponent cause you knew what G2 did to SKT, went to game five and crushed them in that final match. So if G2 lost and let Fnatic face them, they could guarantee their location in the finals. FPX were expected to beat IG for crushing them in the LPL anyways

When everything falls into place SKT is unstoppable. But games 3&4 showed that SKT are playing as 5 individuals rather than playing as one team like G2 did.

i am a long time skt fan, and faker is my favourite player of all time. An honest truth, the season before khan clid teddy came, yea, you could say the team was the problem, as they didnt play with faker and faker constantly solo carrying games. But this time, you cant say that anymore. As much as it hurts, faker was the reason that skt didnt make it to finals. He made so many mistakes since the fnatic game in group stage where they lost, he got so much backup from his team, the thing that was missing for years in the skt team to not have all the pressure on faker, but he let them down. In splyce game khan, clid and teddy made up for fakers inconsistency, but in this game, it was too hard to cover all of his mistakes. Yea, he played well in early, but he threw it all away with the chance to win worlds and the hope of his team. You know what hurts more, im not mad for the loss, but rather im sad, sad for faker, i pity him because i know exactly how he must feel, all the things i said, he knows it himself. ive never seen him being so sentimental and shaken than the time when they lost to ssg because he got caught with karma. I just cant imagine the sad scene how he apologises to his team behind the stage for dissapointing them and wasting their trust, and believe me, i know this happened. another fear of mine is, after his performance and the emotional state hes in, that he will actually think about retiring sooner than he planned to even thou he said he wanted to play for many years to come. i hope it all ends well and he rises up again, to get that trophy back in 2020. #RisePhoenixRise
This is so on point that I actually cried hard. I feel so bad for Faker and all the pressures he's feeling. I admit he must have done a lot of shortcomings but, I cannot blame him or call him trash. Coming from weaker region, SKT look exceptionally well. Managing to last until semifinal showing a good growth from LCK region compared to the previous year. Unfortunately, they get draw into play off with the same half with G2 which is the tournament favourite & MSI champion. Otherwise, I think could make it to final. Great game from both side.

G2 really remind me of M5. Not because of their style of play, but the nuances they're bringing to the meta. They are clearly playing the map differently than what were used to. Conceding buffs in favor of map control and starting fights when they know they can win them. Their strategy has counterplay, but they seem to adapt quickly. I'm sure they'll give it to FPX too.

More like that Skt played well seperately and in every game today, they applied pressure and took a good lead , had very good objective control and did many major pick ups showing that Skt were better mechanically till the lane phase ended but it ultimately came down to teamwork in macro as it should be in a game like League.
Skt could not sync together(Faker especially) and they lost game 3 and 4 which they should have won as the casters also said but G2 had amazing sync and played amazingly as a team and this why the outcome came 3-1 in their instead of other way around and G2 deserved the today's match cause of that.
Fnc/Skt fan btw but gongrats on G2 today.
Hope Skt sync better next year and win next time cause Clid,Teddy and Faker despite making mistakes perfomed nicely overall this year.

i am a long time skt fan, and faker is my favourite player of all time. An honest truth, the season before khan clid teddy came, yea, you could say the team was the problem, as they didnt play with faker and faker constantly solo carrying games. But this time, you cant say that anymore. As much as it hurts, faker was the reason that skt didnt make it to finals. He made so many mistakes since the fnatic game in group stage where they lost, he got so much backup from his team, the thing that was missing for years in the skt team to not have all the pressure on faker, but he let them down. In splyce game khan, clid and teddy made up for fakers inconsistency, but in this game, it was too hard to cover all of his mistakes. Yea, he played well in early, but he threw it all away with the chance to win worlds and the hope of his team.
You know what hurts more, im not mad for the loss, but rather im sad, sad for faker, i pity him because i know exactly how he must feel, all the things i said, he knows it himself. ive never seen him being so sentimental and shaken than the time when they lost to ssg because he got caught with karma. I just cant imagine the sad scene how he apologises to his team behind the stage for dissapointing them and wasting their trust, and believe me, i know this happened.
another fear of mine is, after his performance and the emotional state hes in, that he will actually think about retiring sooner than he planned to even thou he said he wanted to play for many years to come. i hope it all ends well and he rises up again, to get that trophy back in 2020. #RisePhoenixRise

Coming from weaker region, SKT look exceptionally well. Managing to last until semifinal showing a good growth from LCK region compared to the previous year. Unfortunately, they get draw into play off with the same half with G2 which is the tournament favourite & MSI champion. Otherwise, I think could make it to final. Great game from both side.
