Everytime I here this song I get chills. Makes me think of my dad. He grew up sharecropping and eventually bought his own farm. Never saw him complain, just stayed in constant prayer guiding our family. More than thankful for a strong that exemplifies the hard work that farmers put in on a daily basis.
My daddy worked from sun up til sun down when I was a kid. His hands, his arms, his elbows, were bleeding profusely. He didn't care. He wrapped them in silver duct tape and kept working. He farmed every day of his life, as did my Grandpa. I don't know any other way to live, other than work hard and get what you want/need. My father instilled in me values that can NEVER be replaced, or even found nowadays. God Bless our farmers!

This song reminds me so much of my boyfriend, he is a farmer and I help him out everyday. It's not easy being a farmer because they get up at 4 a.m. and they don't go to bed until mid night. They have deadlines for everything and they need to get it all done. They don't slack on anything. So you should give them props for trying their hardest on everything.

If you pass by any farmer, military, emergency personnel, or just a fellow American, it isn't tough to offer a "Thank you." They all sacrifice more than they allow to show through. Thank you to all the farmers out there working their asses off for us to feed America. It's been a long while since I last heard this song, but it (and Fly Over States) just resonates with me right more now than ever. It makes me rethink me being able to visit a friend of the family's farm every year when I was a kid (whose house was painted purple no less) from just a nice road trip to a LUXURY due to with all the stuff I got to do at that farm (such as ride in the John Deere combine). While I never will get to thank Roger Howe and his daughter Tama for letting us do such due to the former passing away several years ago and having gotten out touch with the latter even after attending the funeral, I am nonetheless in tears right now. While I've lived in the city almost my entire life, I'm still thankful for having been born and raised in the US state of Iowa, which is one of the main producers for beef, pork, chicken, corn, and dairy product for the US. Without farms, there's no cheeseburgers, pork ribs, fried chicken, eggs, or steak. It also means no chocolate milk, icecream, custard, donuts, croissants, and most importantly to many of you, NO BACON (though personally I prefer ham & cheese sandwiches). So the next time you enjoy your meat or baked good of choice, please, thank your farmers, they are as deserving of a little time and/or a personal thank you as much as the soldiers who put their lives on the line to keep to you safe are.

This is why we should all support local farmers/ ranchers and businesses. My grandparents farmed in Texas, but had to sell the land to pay bills. Now it's a new subdivision (we got no money from it) and has further limited our food production and knowledge of producing food/ crops.
@JassonAldeanmusic love that Jason Aldean is teaming up with ( us vets from 911,hero) toby keith, coming back from the " almost dead" but not gone, nor forgotten, as we in the military,( those who had any sense, who served after 911, and other wars) in a small town, and in the military, we take care of business,of our own.the many great inspirational songs of Toby's, ( all American, American oldier) and Jason's many great songs about hard working people across the usa who never had anything hand3d to them, unlike the gen z,who expect respect, not earned, everything handed to them, ,can't handle adversity, criticism, or hard work.too much radicalization, ignorance ( like libs, dems supporting hamas terrorists, in congress,we need to send them to iran, see how much they will support hamas then when they are thrown in iranian prisons, tortured

Oh, and let's not forget the ditty gives me the urge to break out my checkbook and make a sizable donation to the FFA!

It’s amazing that we have a man that actually sings the truth and sheds light on the criminals ! And as soon as he does everything he sings about is contested by media, and the politicians . I can "relate" (if only through a friend). He and his brother own a dairy farm. Wakes up at 2 A.M. in the morning just to get the day going. Doesn't get off until 6-7 p.m. His farm is in the middle of liberal freakazoid Santa Rosa battling both the City and State of California insane regulations levied against his business. How he does it and manages to keep sane is beyond me. Oh, and he is the God-fearing type talked of in this song.
there is not a song out there that explains me more than this song! prices are down, and even with this years good crop its still gonna be hard to make a good profit, but theres nothing else out there that I would rather do. every school essay I do that's a free topic, its always on farming. I love it! its hard work, but Its the only thing I know how to do. and people in my town blare there horns at me when I cant pull my equipment over, I'm only gonna pull over when its safe for me to do so, I'm in a hurry to but I gotta be safe
Adam Lee Nichols Thank you sir! like I said its hard work but there aint nothing else id rather be doing, there are still people out there that are patient with me on the road, and that still wave to me while passing rather than flipping me the bird. Again thank you sir, it sure does mean a lot that you took the time to commend our hard work!
The first song I heard of Jason's. I've been a fan ever since. When I was 3 years old I was in the backseat while my mom was driving and my grandmother was in the passenger seat and I sang this song over and over again constantly for the 20 mile drive back home. Now I'm 17 and a senior in high school. Grew up and take of old farmers now. I love the lyric “Lord, I never complain I never ask why please don’t let my dreams to run dry.” even though God knows I always complain and always ask why, it makes me feel something powerful. Because I always beg God to never let my dreams to run dry. I have faith in that. I love farmers for their determination even through hard times…and their cozy homes lol
God BLESS our Farmers! My gf lived on a farm or several years and she said those men (and some women) are the hardest workers she's ever met-so honest hardworking and love GOD, FAMILY AND COUNTRY! Farmers are the body of our nation-hardworking and strong, dedicated to all that he loves and believes in. HE is US. Thank a farmer-they are intelligent and much needed. please dont sell your farms. we need to get together and help these good, honest, god fearing people because they are the best example of what America IS!!!
2024 checking back in, 6 years later.
I can't believe this song will be 20 years old next year. The boys in the video are in their late 30s-early 40s.
Right here
Song still hits home.
Yes it does
Been checking in since 2008
One of the best songs ever. I've been in FFA for 3 years and 4H for 5. Farming is my life. I have a 25 acre farm. I've lived on it all my life. And for all you city folk that look down on us farmers just remember where your food comes from
This is an amazing way to show how hard farmers work. God bless them.
Thank you Jason for this tribute to our hard-working farmers who keep this country going. We should be thanking you every time we sit down at the table to eat because if it weren't for our farmers, here wouldn't be any food. Love you brothers and sisters ❤️ and send you Light ❤😊
The steel guitar line in this song is incredible. God Bless our Heartland !
I am 12 and i work/live on a farm.. i drive the tractor picking crops... driving a tractor is what teaches us farm kids to drive... There are farm girls.... im proud to be one
About time u do something haha
i am 13 but a boy i started riding in a combine when i was 3 months old with my dad
Im not a farmer (wish i was one) but do live in the country and i thank all the farmers for working so hard to keep this country in line. I also started riding tractors at 2yrs old.
I was born and raised on a farm and really miss it. Don't disrespect the farmers...Farming is what feeds your ass !! Corn, Wheat, Beef, Pork, etc. Jason Aldean is singing about the farming life, the hardships, the respect, and love for the farm. You would have to be a farmer to really understand this song....
Amen!
+3NTINV Worked a dairy farm when I was younger....incredibly hard work with long hours and liitle pay or respect from those that dont know or appreciate what the farmers do for our country.
+3NTINV Much of my childhood involved taking the tractor another round. I was lucky to grow up on a farm in Missouri.

People I respect the most. Farmers and soldiers
Met Jason Aldean back in 2005 when he released his first album. Nice guy! Met him at Walmart in Warner Robins, GA. He was there for CD and autograph signing.
I saw him in concert and this song is a great song after all these years in 2009
I’m bout to be 16 the 28th of December and this song is my favorite and has been every since I was little. I love this song so much
Now that I’m 16 today I realized that time flies by quick
Thank you to all the farmers out there.
Matt Seifert your welcome sir
your welcome as well farming until I die
You are welcome and god bless America and you
This is why we should all support local farmers/ ranchers and businesses. My grandparents farmed in Texas, but had to sell the land to pay bills. Now it's a new subdivision (we got no money from it) and has further limited our food production and knowledge of producing food/ crops.
Hello there Ann nice meeting you here
Such a great heartfelt early song I love, hope he never stops the great songwriting, stories, melodies,it magigical
Boy `~`When i lived in the ``Country picking up piles of Hay `` Taken them to my barn and my farmer friends ``always helping me``. ``Telling me drop that Pile`` They are gentlemen, `` Yell out for Hard working Farmers`` They work hard for all of us ~ Bless them all`~`
What?
What people don't understand is that country people are one of the hardest working people in the world and people wont get that through there think skulls until they have been put in the position.
Jason you are awesome! You respect all Americans! Keep doing what you do 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
God bless the American Farmer. They are the reason this country exists, and if you don't think so read once in a while.
ahepperl it's not just the farmers that made the country what about truckers if we didn't have truckers then we wouldn't have farmers because the wouldn't be able to get there equipment or seeds etc so thank the truckers
kpp
I drove the semi big rig too kid. You are so blind. WHAT DO TRUCKERS DO? Let me answer that for you: TRANSPORT If there are no farmers, no crops are grown, no truckers can transport crops that don't exist. You know nothing about the American Economy, Agriculture, or long haul trucking. Good for you and your comment. You know shit. Come talk to me with 30 years experience when you've seen 49 states you god damn no nothing rookie.
Jason,love you.
ahepperl my dad is a trucker
best country song in the last 15 years or so to me
Timeless so good as good the 10,000th time as the first I stand with you Jason keep your head up we know who you are and have always stood for LOVE IT!!!
God bless our farmers and veterans! I grew up in the country never liked country music that much but have listened occasionally to country music. I like old hill billy banjo and fiddle on the porch kind of music as well as classical music choral music early ancient music and I like Ghost riders in the sky by various artists including the original 1948 by Stan Jones and his death valley rangers.
this song and fly over states, some of my favorite new country
New? It's from '09.
anything 2000+ is new country. real country music has been around since before the 1920's
Night
Train too.
If not for our farmers, we do not eat! Showe them the respect they deserve.
GOD BLESS ALL THE AMERICAN FARMERS ALL ACROSS THE U.S.
Isaiah Pahlau amen
Real men ❤
Make Men Fearless Again. Get em boys 💪🏻God give them what they need 🙏🏻
Songs been around for a while but I finally connected to it and appreciate it...thanks JA for believing in it and putting it out. Please don't stop singing it at concerts.
This song always makes me cry, and listening to the tune also makes me feel guilty for not appreciating the hard work and back-breaking labor that went into the organic produce I just procured from Whole Foods. Oh, and let's not forget the ditty gives me the urge to break out my checkbook and make a sizable donation to the FFA!
The FFA is just a bunch of whiny bastards who learn to speak eloquently or write a good essay these days. They learn nothing of what real farming is.
Aya Moore yes i have been to FFA, around here it's all bullshit. One feild they seem to overlook is the mechanical side of things, fixing farm equipment and stuff.
jpeopolis Conventional apple farmer here, there is no difference between nasty looking organic apples and conventially grown apples.
@@harrisonvandewalle4904 haha yes
I grew up on a farm and I think we need to appreciate the farmers in the world.
I also have PKU a medical disability so I can't eat meat, dairy, peanuts, and have to weigh food out and can only have a certain amount in a day.So every day I work my butt off for all the people that have PKU.
Yours are beautiful as you look, thanks for your sincere compliment, I would always give appreciation to my dedicated fans like you🌹🌹🎸🎵🎶🎼

You should take over the farm don't sell off
Lord I never complain! I never ask why! Please don't let my dreams run dry!.... All he's ever known... Take that tractor another round.... Hell yeah
I always listens to this song with my grandpa. I haven't heard it forever and I couldn't remember much about it. I finally found it! I love this song so much!
It’s amazing that we have a man that actually sings the truth and sheds light on the criminals !
And as soon as he does everything he sings about is contested by media, and the politicians .
Speaks volumes because if they take punches at him they would squish most like bugs .
All for him being honest and sympathetic to the most important people on our planet .( THE FARMERS)
Most modern country is junk, but this song has soul about American pride in agriculture. No doubt my favorite song ever.
way back when my papa use to do 20,000 acres by himself I heard that and relised why he died at the age of 63 yesterday god bless people who do that much work
I officially took over today I still see footprints in the green house....might make this the official song of the farm (bet that will be a first
rainx21 outdoorsman cmt fshrj

rainx21 outdoorsman, praying for you. Hope you have recovered from it.

Great song, I own a farm that’s been in my family since 1840. Thanks Jason!
Omg so way back I listen to this every morning before school and I always seem to have a good day special blend lol
That’s the barn on my grandparents farm at 2:54
these boys are what tough stand for and what tough really means.

One of the best Jason aldean songs
That ol boy's throwin peanut hay.. Only found after the peanut harvest in south Georgia, south Abalama, north Flo Rida and east Mississippi.. Great feed for cattle, and more tasty than hay...
I commend you for farming sir. Without people like you we would have nothing to eat. No one seems to see what good farmers do any more.
Caleb Ruetz thanks caleb for doing what ya do bro god bless
Caleb Ruetz boy nice picture, because I love John Deere
My dads dad retired from Deere, my dad retired from Deere and my brother is about to retire from John Freakin Deere. ANF.
I love this song. I love country. I listen to it like a million times a day!😅
The first song I heard of Jason's. I've been a fan ever since. When I was 3 years old I was in the backseat while my mom was driving and my grandmother was in the passenger seat and I sang this song over and over again constantly for the 20 mile drive back home. Now I'm 17 and a senior in high school. My grandmother's not around anymore to see me graduate high school like she always hoped she would be, but I still like to listen to this every now and then and reminisce.
