This is a scene like we used to have in season 1 .
Zeynep never stopped to love Halil , she was very upset and in pain , her reaction was to reject everything from him .
I don’t think that she stopped to love Halil .
I think his kindness with her grandmother , the fact that he is always there for her and with her , are starting to take her furious feelings away little by little .
She is realizing that Halil is always attentive to her .
But Zeynep is also young and timide and shy , and these feelings are making her uneasy .
Since the beginning of season 2 whenever he places her palm on his heart she closes her hand so she doesn’t feel his heartbeat directly, until this episode when she opens her palm. Those tiny details that Cemre does makes so big of a difference with the character. Because Zeynep is not shutting her heart down anymore that she finally opens her palm here

I have an issue with Halil’s dialogues here 😕 "You will come to me, you will be my wife, you will call me your husband, your feet will bring you there." Whoever is writing these lines is failing Halil Bey. No matter how charming and talented Gokberk is, this approach doesn’t work. Halil Bey, this is not the way to resolve things. You need to listen to Zeynep first and really understand her, to build understanding and connection. Ask her how you can support her instead.

@@michelepalmer7789 I understand what both of them are trying to convey, and I acknowledge the deep love between Zeynep and Halil. 😅 However, I feel the dialogues don’t work well. Instead of focusing on husband wife duties, it would be more meaningful to focus on the love they share. If this is a love story, it should be based on understanding rather than, You will do this because it has to be done, or, I will never do this, cause you are not what you promised me to be. It feels forceful. Despite this, Gokberk and Cemre are repeatedly delivering these dialogues convincingly. The amount of depth and expression they manage to bring to such flat dialogues is truly commendable.
As Zeynep said in episode 124, "You hold my heart in your hands," so the beating of her heart is enough for Halil❤️🩹

A beautiful interaction between them, but it is evident they are at odds in terms of mindset. Halil wants a real marriage and because he knows Zeynep loves him, but is just angry, he thinks he just has to nudge her into making them a real married couple and all will be well. He seems to be listening as he says, he acknowledges that the past is screaming about what happened to her but she should just silence that by listening to her heart… But he fails to realize that Zeynep’s heart is not whole, it’s broken and was broken many times by him. She is right to say, that she wants to listen to her heart, but what about all that has happened between them and to her because of him. It isn’t as simple as he’s making it sound. I want to point out that if it was easy to forgive and forget, then when he realized whom she was in eps1, then he should have battled with himself more and NOT exacted vengeance on her and her family. He is speaking from hindsight that he is aware of how destructive revenge can be, but he is in no position to lecture to anyone especially Zeynep of how she should heal and move forward after what he put her through. She lives in conflict because that hand that took hers lovingly is also the hand that shoved her to the ground multiple times, those lips that caress the inside of her palm, shouted and insulted her on a daily basis… I want them to be together, but it cannot be by shutting down the voice of the past, instead Zeynep and Halil have to openly acknowledge what he did and what she felt (in a safe space) and together decide that they have both been broken, but by these hard conversations, they can mutually make the decision to live and love each other freely.
It’s baby steps to get there, and clearly the writers are barely scraping the surface when it comes to addressing the past, instead they keep setting up these intimate scenes which seem to lead to nowhere… it is fiction, but at least realize that your audience expects that if you can script scenes of violence against women, then you better be able to script scenes that address it in-depth as well.

💯 agree. I'm really craving more depth. The one thing I've disliked about this episode is how they 'moved forward' by zeynep giving up her prejudices. Yet I don't see them as prejudices, I see them as misunderstandings based on broken trust and poor communication. And that's not all on zeynep, halil plays a big part in this. It shouldn't be for zeynep to "let go" of these hesitations just cause halil wants it so. Instead of preparing a bridal suite (intentions my foot!!), perhaps he should have addressed the past in a way she needs.

But it was Zeynep herself who told him that day at the lake, her official first day at work as his PA, that she had noticed the change in him and made fun of the way he spoke to people. @@antareseditions This is my second K7 drama, but i watch this one for GokCem because they are so fantastic, going forward, i'll just stick to the other channels lol. When they moved it to the weekends they should've adapted to the weekend format, not still write and film the series on a "daily" schedule, it's moving slower than molasses! Hopefully after two weeks we go back to daily when KC ends.
