Starts a game planning to optimize it to its full potential.
Less than five minutes in 120 people died because of no housing.
Optimization at the cost of human life is a certified Frostpunk moment.
Defo on brand 😂
Real "The beatings will continue until morale improves" energy!
Stewart is assigned to his post
Immediately summons 5-6 frost breaking teams
Get to work everyone 😂
Eight, not six : )
Apparently multiple forager logistics buildings can reduce cost of teams to zero... free exploration everywhere
Oh nice one, I’ll have to investigate!
Also means tons of people and resources if u rush that first since u can find them in frostland. So really becomes about heatstamps rather than pop since u get swimming in them.
U can also game the heat recycling so much if u have the right districts u dont need to run generator for coal in normal times. Tons of ways to break game currently. But exploration alllws u to see the most
@@hellsremorse I am going to focus exploration next time and test some of these!! Thanks for the tips!
@@Logistical It's the Forager scout headquarters specifically. Build two, get zero-cost scouting.
Everyone: "What?! There's a second ending?!"
Me who always rushes Beacon + fully upgraded scouts to rush the entire frostlands.
Me: "Oh. Wow. I had no idea." >_>
Haha one step ahead of the game there
It looks like frostlands resources will be even more important in this game since they don't run out
Yeah for sure, I think with colonies we will have to build multiple cities to support each other! Should be interesting!
I think the reason why frost breaking exits for to reaons (1 gameplay 2 story) 1 to prevent you from growing to large and taking up to much stuff. 2 to show that the frost has gotten more stronger since the game starts in the early 19 hundreds and i think frostpunk 1 takes place in 1840's.
Yeah, I think having to break the frost makes sense, the ground would be frozen over after 30 years so defo would be to break it
Frostpunk takes place in 1877, around 20-30 years before Frostpunk 2. During that time, just several months into the frozen era, snow were already getting taller than a human. Now after 20-30 years of constant snow and several whiteout, the layer of snow will crush itself into a thick layer of frost that you need to dig out.
they REALLY need to rework the UI, it really sucks
Agreed, needs to be way clearer to show what’s going on
Good News!
Despite the 8/10 rating average, 11Bit have delayed the game a few months to do just that and more based upon community feedback.
I like the new UI, but they could atleast make the resources and how you're doing with them more visible I guess? From my point of view, this minimalistic style that let's the game showcase more of the scenery is really appreciated.
Fun fact if earth becomes a snowball earth finding oil and using it will help heat up the planet because more CO² in the atmosphere means more sunlight trapped
Ohhh yeah, this would happen lol maybe that’s the ending for FP2 😂
The American ending
USA!!!! USA!!!!
Wait there is a second beta ending😅
Yes there is!!
Logi forgetting the “law o’clock” is a certified Frostpunk moment :D!
Sorry!! Discontent rises 😭
The way you played this round made Frostpunk 2 look really fun.
there are a lot of mechanics to learn so figuring these out and getting things right will be very satisfying!
woah got a bit ''cloudy'' at the end :D bit smoky.. like the oil being creeping out through the entire screen :P what difficulty you were playing ? i assume hard.. omg i cant wait for end of July.. but maybe not cause ill be isolated from the world while playing this one xD
Yeah I do like how th eUI chnages colour based on the tension. An i was actually playing easy on this run I think, I just neglected everything else and focused on getting to the oil lol
You don't get bonus up to 3 times for every adjacent tile, you need 3 adjacent tiles to get the bonus
Hmmm, is this true?
does the game end when you find the oil?
Yeah the beta does end, however I am hoping in the full release we will be able to build another city at these resource colonies and share workers etc
Starts with 4800 population. 10 minutes in has 1200. Bruh
On brand for me I think
Just think the resource on your city territory run out too fast. Some tech building become useless fast ( sawmill) ans food district become useless after the deposit run out.
I am thinking we will be able to use the buildings in the colonies somewhere
Make sense honestly. Still... cant wait to play it on my birthday this summer.
And then, with the discovery of oil, the Brits became American. The end, happily ever after, im sure this will be perfect forever
Nothing could go wrong here 😂
Funnily enough, i think we still have some Americans left in the world since New London adopted them after Tesla City went AWRY
Your squalor is through the roof!
Don’t worry about that… we found oil!!
i hate how they took a less detailed game route, tbh the original looks soo much more detailed and fun even though it is an older game i think i will stick to it
Definitely a different style of game, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the full game looks like!
not sure why you're not reading the events - specially ones with choices then say: i dunno i dunno.
You did very well with your city, but im not sure its a good idea to go at 3X speed to do other things while you are aware that you have 0 food in the city lol.
thats why your city crumbled - you decided: nope, X3 - im done wit hthe game...go go go. not checking whats going on, X3 X3
otherwise, good run.
To be fair, when I am playing and recording I am in the mindset of just trying to make things interesting 😂 and me personally I can’t stand it when I’m watching someone just read of the events and taking a couple of mins to decided what to do 😂
@@Logistical I understand. As an advice - most people seeking this sort of content are A) trying to discover the game in all its details with its action and consequences. B) wants to see a genuine attempt at competency. It feels more genuine and gives an insight of how the game interacts with the player.
I wouldnt say to read out loud in slow motion tho :p More like, Here are the choices - give a slight idea of why you're picking this and that - thus creating a point of interaction with the audience.
But speedrunning this game from its more intricate details is definately rough to watch.
you're really good at this game damn
Thanks! Still a lot to learn though!
Watched ya a couple of times on FP2 now i think ya nearly got it, i think in this beginning section ya right butttttttt (theres always a but isnt there needy little fucks we are HAHAHA) i think you should go all out with frost breaking while ya have the initial stockpiles and open up all the major grounds... adding the coal plant 2mins in was good but after that should have guys still breaking the ground so the entire place is open then start with everything else. Just an "imo" haha but youre my game tester give it a bash haha
Yeah I think you are right, but there is a balance becuase frostbreakign still requires heat stamps.
Yeah definitely maybe keep a team ready to go and don't get em working straight away on things and stuff so by the time they're finished you have already set up something else then the tickets are back for them to open up another... Maybe even only open up 3-4 squares for each section right on each... Ya definitely getting your efficiency down pact too. Haha actually just got frostpunk one from kinguin cheap cos I watch ya shit so much hahahaha
Why they chose windows 11 ui lol looking at the top bar you feel like this is just some app
I do think the UI needs a little bit of work on it to make it clearer and more thematic
Whats the other ending other than the oil?
I think it is when you time out the Beta, It does a cinematic pass over your city before telling you the beta is over
@@NeoArkansas yea I was thinking that. I like almost fully explored the frostlands n didn’t see anything else out there so I had no clue on what else it could be.
Yeah the 1st ending is when you reach the 300 week limit
Unpopular opinion: This frostpunk 2 sucks. Where's the element of survival and micro management? Buildings are so easy to have, just use heatstamps; where is the detail to choosing a path you can't go back from? That doesn't have the element of consequences. Great Tech Trees like the first frostpunk?
Honestly, they missed the ball on this one. Yes graphically its good but gameplay and why we loved the first game has been removed. I'm not going to buy this game I'll stay with the first one.
yeah I have the same feeling. Honestly I hate too much micromanagement, but this sequel oversimplifies too much stuff, everything seems to be easy to overcome
I will agree it is a huge change from the first game.
You are comparing a 300 week limited beta to a fully fleshed out full dlc game. Calm down n compare the full release first sheesh.
Just guessing but the oil site might be exactly what your hoping for. Could just be another city with the same building mechanics, but it could also be frostpunk 1 all over again.
We will just have to wait and see
@@TheLPRnetwork it probably will be. Same with the food/goods/material colonies. But it could just be like the FP1 colonies where you just send supplies / ppl but they send stuff back.
34:16 as good as you are with this game, i think you kinda fucked it up here
Yeah you are probably right here!
