Iloilo is more progressive, clean, modern, organize, peaceful and beautiful than Bacolod. The Ilonggos (People in Iloilo City) are more educated, honest and hardworking, it has produced many great leaders of the country and successful businessman that we can truly be proud of. Iloilo is undoubtedly the peg of many rising cities in the Philippines today. Thank you for coming to the City of Love and the original Queen City of the South. Stay safe and Mabuhay!
Iloilo is nowhere near to bacolod when it comes to Livability.The only good thing happening in iloilo is the iloilo business park.. nothing else while bacolod's development scattered all over the city,It has wider roads,second in best Road network in the country..only bested by mandaue cebu,cheaper cost of living,less polluted unlike iloilo which has a coal fired power plant within the city, Bacolod hosts to some of the high end brands which is void in iloilo like Benelli MC,forbes hill,Bel Air, ayala land Premiere,Ayala mall,Ucc clockwrk,Tom n Tom's.in Bacolod..you can have a serene time just a couple of minutes drive out of the city center..fresh air countryside vibes...which is why Bacolod was cited as the most livable city numerous times..
FYI the voyage TO Iloilo City BEGINS at 5:25. it's a pleasant chat until then, but if you want the substance that's where to start.

Iloilo seems quite civilized. Compare this with the noise, traffic and poverty you encounter in Manila!

It’s nice there… love the city.. I liked Batchoy… also lots of restaurants selection… have you try the Rebels burger? Omg the best burger ever… stayed at Seda Atria for two nights and one night in Richmonde hotel… Walking in Esplanade was incredible and the sunset was awesome 👏

So that long street you got to walk on is actually what we call festive walk then there's a mall called festive mall which was developed by megaworld corp. We call it the business hub of the city because there's alot of call centers, shared services and other job opptys there for the people. 😊

On the surface Iloilo City looks impressive thus far..nice mall and seems very clean. Let us know how the brownout and internet reliability situation is.
There are brown outs at least once or twice a month but don't last long(about 30mins to an hour). There is fiber internet all across the city and a lot of BPO's and multinational companies are located there so internet is a non-issue at least within the city. For about 3000 pesos a month you can get about 400-500 mbps speed(both download and upload).

Iloilo was once a chief exporter of sugar cane thus the old mansions from sugar owners it had also been given a royal decree by queen isabela of spain as the QUEEN'S City of the South (This is Different from Cebu as QUEEN CITY of the SOUTH) for staying loyal to the spanish crown and not participating in the rebellion. Now Iloilo is simply known as the City of Love for its old european style architectures although Iloilo has since been left behind by Bacolod City.
Its the other way around. Bacolod has been left behind by Iloilo's rapid growth.
@@Grishnak777 Iloilo only has esplanades and road widenings, Bacolod has real estate boom because of its bigger land area. Also Iloilo is only famous for La Paz Batchoy and the insulting cultural appropriation "Black Face" Dinagyang Festival. Bacolod is famous as the City of Smiles, Chicken Inasal "Petcho", Piaya and Maskarra Festival. Iloilo needs to catch up with Bacolods progressiveness.

Iloilo has the most no. Of banks compare to bacolod and banko sentral ng pilipinas are now expanding to a new and big location.
When it comes to inasal, inasal that time is not famous yet only localize in bacolod but Mang Inasal originated in Iloilo makes it famous.... Then bacolod started to put names with Bacolod in each chicken inasal restaurants, in iloilo its just street food if you are in valeria st. Which is called the inasalan area, chicken inasal there are not grilled in restaurants but as a streetfood. Mang Inasal originated in J. De leon st. ( the street name was named after joel tore's grandfather) the first inasal from iloilo to be franchise nationwide... In bacolod some inasal founders are from iloilo too others migrant from oton iloilo then established inasal restaurant there thus i believe recipes are originated in iloilo not in bacolod.

@@ericjf5343 I've been to Dumagete just recently, Both are romantic.. I think Iloilo is much bigger and progressive with still slow pace and romantic lifestyle. In Iloilo you can have better hospitals and Esplanades to walk or jog.🙂

Which God are you praying to? If it's the God of the bible, you will be in sharp contrast to God's heart. God says those who practice fornication will not inherit the kingdom of God. Instead of praying for their happiness while practicing fornication. why not pray for God to soften their hearts about being married in the eyes of God. I don't recommend most get married by the state as the state should not be involved with marriage which is a sacred thing before God.
I do think they make a lovely couple and you can indeed see love for each other in this video. God will bless them if they choose to honor God in their love for each other. That is my prayer for them. I am delighted seeing their hearts. I just wish, hope and pray that God would come first.

Hey Gio, you both appear to have fun, that's good. You mentioned you rode around on your "motorbikes" (plural) looking for places to see. I'm just curious was that just a mistake and you both rode together on one motorbike or did Maya take a motorbike too. I know it's none of my business but like I said I'm just curious as my wife isn't that comfortable on a motorbike to ride solo. Thank you for your input. Stay safe and healthy my friends.

Duuuuude! You have real problem with traffic. Human beings have cars and motor cycles, they make noise and get in the way. Everything is a trade off. Away from traffic>>>less convenient. A lot of traffic>>>lots of convenient Human Comforts. I have always preferred the country to the city BUT a lot of things suck in the country too.

Traffic 🚦 lights in both cities. Iloilo has better traffic flow.

Great update. Bacolod looks like a nice city some place I don't know too much about. As for foreign food I really love Indian food, can you get that in the smaller cities in the Philippines?
In smaller cities you can't find Indian food, but in the larger cities yes.
Try Chicken Inasal at Manokan Country in Bacolod . It's Bacolod signature food. The best chicken barbecue ever

Nena is where we used to go. An illongo chef likes Aida. Either of the two . And there's chicken house too at Mandalagan. Miss Bacolod, we are going back someday. Still love 🇺🇸.

I know this is going to sound risky...I met a Filipina girl online a year ago. She is a single Mom of 2 children aged 3 & 4 yrs old. She still has to try to get an Annulment from a Filipino husband who she kicked out because he beat the kids with a wire coat hanger for making noise like kids do when they play!
