@@abeshawarma7489 i just startet one week ago.... and im pretty much trash aswell xD Oh god, i fkn hate this matchmaking, but i guess there are not enough players for proper matchmaking...
My tips: Stay away from Heavy champions, while they might seem strong, they are not. They are very powerful in the right hands, but beginners should really stay away from Clutch. LG is strong only mid range. Close range SuperShotgun si King. Rocket (my personal fav) is good all around, but can deadly to yourself as well, if used very close range. SuperNail Gun is the most powerful weapon in the game, but it is really really hard to use. Only use it for tight corridors, or if you have mastered movement (move in a circle around your enemy while firing the NG). While splitting the weapons in upper, mid and low tier, I can say for sure that now the TriBolt is upper tear, as it wins most fights against all other other weapons (mid/close range). This will change with the July Patch. Overall, great video.
I'm not a beginner per se, I've been playing quake for years but mainly the classic and quake live with friends and bots. I recently gave this game another shot since it left EA and now I'm addicted. But wouldn't some heavy champions be easier to start with since they spawn with a decent stack? I've been doing pretty good with Scalebearer, and Death Knight but I want to try to branch out into more playstyles
@@HubbardiumKing Scalebearer is good start, its decent all around champ. I think 1-3 character still OP AF, Death Knight, Anarki, Keel, Blazkowich Sorlag and Clutch has the biggest hitbox from all the champs I think, and the slowest ones, they are easy frags most of the time, this 2 champ need bunny hop to mastered on passive. The others are good, if you master them, but they are different in playstyles, in 1v1 - 2v2, that change a lot.
Another good tip that Ive discovered is use either the crosshair or dot aiming reticle and blow it up to a size 3 and use the colour yellow to make it stand out. Makes aiming much easier.
Just started playing today. I’ve played quake, doom, and other shooters of the genre, but while I do get a few frags in champions my K/D ratio sucks. Going to try these, and maybe see if I can find a champion that fits me better.
Good video, always appreciate people putting in the effort to educate newer players - the explanation circle jump is wrong tough 😂 The „circle“ refers to a circular movement on the ground, which means that you would walk half a circle before initiating strafe jumping. This plays into the physics by which you build up speed by strafing diagonally while turning your cursor into that direction - as you correctly explained before 😉
theres actually a bug in the quake engine that makes holding jump worse in this game. idk how many newbies actually watch this old video but there absolutely is a penalty and you can learn more about it by searching about it on youtube. games like diabotical have hold jump and there are no bugs that make it worse than manual jumping however
@@Wylie288 prove that its intentional. this guy literally made a tutorial for new people explaining that hold jump was a viable option. Believe it or not, timing jumps really isnt that hard, and while I understand some people preferring that the level of accessibility it gives makes way more sense to include given all the other aspects of quake that make it a really hard game. There are also tons of videos on yt proving this is a bug. You can believe whatever you want tho
@@Ironraven24 Its in every quake game ever made. And in all the quake clones with the exception of Diabotical. Its intentional. Its part of the skill gap. There isn't a single video proving its a bug. Thats not possible, because its an intentionally included part of strafe jumping. Just as it has been since quake 3. Most games don't even let you hold space
@@Wylie288 Previous iterations not having auto bhop doesn’t prove auto bhop being worse in qc isnt a bug. I wonder why if it’s intentional the qc devs themselves say in their tutorial that it’s interchange with manual bhopping and isn’t explicitly worse??
One of the most important along with the ones mentioned in the video is to feel the game and the characters. Listen to fast paced music like Drum and Bass to get the right vibe. Practice helps everyone get better and also practice air shots with the rocket launcher. Get used to weapon timings and you'll learn how to do combo kills with the rocket launcher and rail gun. And yeah, decrease that sensitivity to 1. I need around one foot to do the 180 turn but that depends on you
I can't get the rewards after each maps... I click the "red shards" and can't... its an image basicly.. i did many games already and after each game i get (ready to obtain) but i can't XD
This is not a good tutorial in my opinion, it shares wrong or fake informations... Tutorials should be made by who knows how to play the game, no one should "learn" from this video. If you're reading this comment, please don't follow this guy's guide, there are way better and way more correct tutorials online. No hate man, I like how you talk and how you made this video, but spreading wrong informations isn't a good thing Imo.
@@Smung he lies about how weapons should be used and how basic movement should be done, plus you can clearly see in his gameplay that he didn't know how to play (even just decently) when he made this video

I'm pretty sure headshots don't matter in this game (there's no headshot multiplier). They only put the audio clip in for added satifaction

Thanks Daniel! That's some great insight into weapon choices. Maybe we'll do a detailed weapon guide in the future.
