So do I! Hoping to get back to Shetland this year for some filming. Excellent though the TV series is, it does make Shetland seem grey all the time. Not true. The sun does shine there!
@@TravelObscurer haha yep had to make it look all gloomy to fit the genre of series.Anyways beautiful place and atmosphere that can ease a weary mind and eyes. Not to mention the real heroes the scottish Seagulls. 🖤 Hoping i'd get there too 🤞 ✌️ Until then i'll have Shetland opening theme music on repeat 😆 🎵
I've been a few ferry trips to Stornoway however as I hadn't been on the Loch Seaforth I decided to do a return sailing and was impressed by her especially as there was plenty of outdoor seating which Calmac often forget about. I'm slightly worried about the Glen Sannox still being built at Greenock in this respect!
Hi Peter. The tracks are called "Emotional Classic Violin and Harp" and "Irish Low Whistle Solo", both by Orchestralis. Licence for use obtained through Envato Elements.
As a young boy I took the old Loch Seaforth to Stornoway from The Kyle of Locharch or Mallaig. Great memories.
I used to go to Ullapool for my holidays as a kid. Wonderful scenery and people.
So did I from 1956-1972
I travelled from Ullapool to Stornoway in April for uni and I loved it! Great weather, great food, it was brilliant!
This looks like a relaxing place and ride.
Love love love this whole small isle ferry travels vibe.
My favorite is Shetland.
Saw the season on Netflix and fell in love with the place and life.

Can you share the versions of the music you have in this video?

Be there very soon hopefully I get to see a whale.
Why in god's name would you play the Irish _Danny Boy_ as the boat approaches Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in *Scotland* ?? Dear god.
Could have done without Danny Boy playing
Gray and depressing. No wonder so many Scotts have Gray as their last name.
