To be honest, it's been years since I've flown this aircraft as a student pilot. Because of some recent diagnoses, I'm beginning to wonder if I'd be able to pass the medical for a pilot license.
Thanks for that question, Wayne. I am using a payware KRDU airport package along with Orthophoto imagery. I wouldn't recommend the KRDU payware package I'm using. There are serious issues with it. The only reason I continue to use it is because the general aviation buildings like similar to their real-life counterparts. Should I start flying airliners, I would probably abandon the payware package - as I can only taxi between the parallel runways using taxiway "C". If you're interested in installing your own Ortho scenery, which is free, start by watching videos on using Ortho4XP. Alternatively, you can download pre-made ortho-scenery, but you'll still have to prepare it before you can use it.
Good video and review of the AirfoilLabs Cessna 172SP! I have this plane and it is very good. I am not a real world pilot so I can't speak of authenticity, but for a simmer it is very nice to fly. Certainly I would fly with you as long it wasn't in FS2020, crashes occur with no reason.
Hi Jaden, I don't rightly know the answer to that question. When I get a chance, I'll look to see. However, in the meantime, I believe you may be able to recharge the battery using one of the tabs. The AFL version of the C-172 is my favorite.
@@tinytim2504 I honestly couldn't decide because both are great planes but at different things but graphically I was leaning towards the default Cessna mod by simcoders but luckliy I fly the PA28-161 warrior III in real life so i didnt get either planes and lucked out but i would have gotten the simcoders one looking back hope his helps !
@@jadenjames1640 I have deleted all other C172’s because I find that this new version I can fly by the numbers and when you pull power back it glides well unlike others that the sink rate is excessive. I have had about 14 hours left seat time in a 172 and this is now my trainer of choice. Someday I hope to get back to training but for now, AFL C172 and VR satisfies me.
Damn I'd love to fly or even sit in one of these in real life, I envy you! 😄

What was the scenery package you had for this video?Very nice.
Wayne, the reply from Virtual General Aviation (me from a different channel) tackles your question. Thank for the question.

Oops, I answer Wayne's question from a different profile :-)

I know what you mean... I'm not a fan of MSFS (at this time) either. Good to know that you're willing to put your "virtual" life in my hands. :-)
oh yeah. The AirfoilLabs C172 is a probable best C172 for XPlane
Agreed.
Any ability to add a gpu or jumpstart the plane if the battery is low or anything like that?

@@VirtualAviationAviator gotcha just deciding between this and the expansion pack by simcoders for the default Cessna
@@jadenjames1640 Hi Jaden, which one did you end up going with? I'm trying to make that choice right now myself. Haha it's tough!
