What size leader was you using and what size flies? What color midge did you have tied? Hoping to go to blue springs soon, need a few pointers it will be my first time going.
I use 4X with these bigger trout. And size 14 to 16 is my go to sizes. I like a black zebra midge and a olive midge. Both of those I tie myself in size 12,14 and 16. In this video I used a double dropper a lot with one pheasant tail and one olive midge. First midge down maybe 18 inch below indicated and next fly down about 6 inch from first midge.
Great video! looks like a lot of fun!
I like to go above the dam they stock them good up there but as long as your catching fish all is a good day
Another question on the fly fishing at blue springs, are there any dry fly action or is it mainly nymph and wooly buggers?
I find it extremely difficult to get a dry fly bite. I would stick to your bugger and nymphs
Mad skillz. Ive seen alot of youtube videos of this place but i have never seen someone catch 27 in one day esp when not using live bait.
Thanks man!
