Thank you. I was thinking about solar but I prefer being in the shade. After hearing the pros and cons, I think the generator is best for my situation

Hi, Graydon.... I think that folks who live in their rigs full-time should probably have both, but for the vast majority of us, a generator is probably the best choice. My little Honda 2,000 watt generator is actually rated for only 1,600 watts CONTINOUS load, which is still 16 times what my solar setup is rated for. Thanks for watching and commenting....

Thanks Chuck....You made my mind up. A generator is the way I will go. As you say, an hour on a jenny is worth all day solar in the woods.

generator good to power load batteries up to 80%, then solar to trickle charge through day. solar expansive . class b+ im getting thinking the same maybe a larger generator inverter and a simplefold up solar panel think about 200w. thanks bud for your sharing. nice spot you got dog loves it

Good morning, Steve.... Like I said in the video, the solar panel is okay if I haven't had to use the furnace. That dang furnace pulls a lot of current. Thanks for watching and commenting....

Hey! Great video. How many times can you charge your rv batteries with the generator until you have to charge the generator itself? Thank you

Hi, Elly.... It's a gasoline-powered generator. You just have to put gas in it to keep it going. If all you're using it for is an hour or so a day to charge batteries, it'll run several days on a tank of gas. Thanks for watching and commenting....

To me, solar looks good on paper but in real life it sucks especially here in canada, generator runs no matter what so the pick is easy to make here

Ahhh....solar. Some people swear by it, but a lot of other people swear AT it. I know some folks who have spent well over $10k USD on a big solar panel and battery system, only to find out that it still doesn't meet their power needs. And that's down here in the desert, not up where you're at. Thanks for watching and commenting....
