So, I am going to go over them and correct these false ideas so you can become a better prospector. These are things I have had people tell me that I know are just not true. Sometimes they want to argue with me. To dispel these myths, we are digging onto ten wrong-headed ideas that will keep you from being successful in your prospecting efforts. We will examine them one at a time, and see why they are just plain wrong.

1-4, I never believed, 5, I tried, and still do, 6, not true but sometimes it's the thing to do, 7, nonsense, 8, always a good idea as the sure knowledge of the presence of gold is a great motivator, 9, this is folly! I couldn't tell you how many times I ran away from gold to go someplace where there was none. 10, As the old timers said, gold is where you find it, often times its found where you never expected and its not where you thought it was a sure thing! Gold will trick **** you!!! Good advice Chris, I concur with each point you make! One thing that should be stressed, and that I have done many times, Is the mental aspect. Defeating yourself before you even get started. This happens a lot when you try doing it for a living. It beats you down and you can convince yourself that it's futile to even try one place or another. It's like gambling, when you HAVE to win, you lose. When you don't give a danm, you win. If you've done your research and put yourself in a good spot, keep on swinging, keep on digging, sooner or later it's going to come up yellow!

At the end of the summer I had 0.05g 😂 flour gold SUX. A few years after that I was in Washington ( west coast) and had the chance to mine on an old guys claim. After two week I had collected 0.05g. Not only did the old timers not get it all, but their equipment was so bad, that you can find gold the dirt that the old timer had already gone threw. Old tailing piles are usually found right out side of a mine shaft. Gold isn't every where, but if gold was found there in the past then there is still gold there. I recommend looking in the rock layer in the bank of a creek in an area gold has been found or in a creek running out of an area where gold was found. Every where is not claimed, but around here old gold mines are claimed by the government and made in to parks, claiming it is a historical site.

I live in Butte Montana and I just joined a prospecting club here and right now they have four mining claims that you can go on and look for gold and they are adding more in the future. Most of the prospecting is done either with a high banker or gold detectors, because there's no water by these claims, but I went out a few days ago with my detector on one of the claims and I found a couple of small picker nuggets and some small fine gold! I don't ever expect to get rich from doing it, but it is a lot of fun as a recreation! 😁👍 If you're interested in joining, the club is called Mining City Prospectors and it only costs $40 a year for membership! They have approximately 80 members from all over Montana! Give me a shout if you would like to join and I can get you the information! 👍

So John - what do you have against people who believe in God? Is a command to love you neighbor as yourself something evil in your eyes?

Can I get a few minutes to talk to you?

I appreciate your interest, but I do not offer any services for personal training, consulting or advisement. I get many such requests and simply do not have time to help all who ask. I do wish you the best of luck, but I am sorry that I cannot offer any help on that level. If you have something simple to ask, you can ask it here and I will answer. If its more personal help and getting involved with a situation you have, I cannot do that.

If you made comments that made sense, I might answer them. But your comments are jibberish. Therefore I think you are a bot, a fake human, a computer program written to be skeptical. Real humans make more sense than you. Prove me wrong.
