the real 10 year challenge
One of the first Kpop songs I have ever heard. First was Fire by 2NE1, October 2009 which I will never forget. 2NE1 and 4 Minute were rivals back then since they debuted the same year. Cube was not as big as YG (they had Rain but I don't think he was as impactful in Hallyu). But we all know how 4 Minute, and Hyuna, carried Cube to popularity, alongside others. I jumped the fence from Blackjack to 4Nia, joined petty fan wars, cheered for 4 Minute, was so proud of Hyuna. I may have gone for years until they disbanded, but I will always be grateful for the day I heard their song in the radio one Saturday afternoon.
Uhh rain was huge. He basically built the training system along with BoA for future K-pop artist, his only rival at the time was SE7EN, BoA and Lee Hyori.
I remember listening to 4minute when I was young,

There is potential in this group. I hope they do well in the future.

This was the song that got me into kpop 10 years ago. I did enjoy kpop a lot more back then to be honest with groups like T-Ara, 4Minute, SNSD, 2NE1 and Sistar just to name a few.
