CORRECTION At 22:04: When explaining how Thanos can fight an enemy to gain an infinity stone, Corvus should have been discarded after defeating the ally (as with any vanquish action), then Thanos would need to send over a new ally to pick up the abandoned Stone to bring back to his domain.
NOTE 1: If you are resolving a Fate Action and you draw an event that would target you, discard it without effect!
NOTE 2: I believe the newer printings of the game now indicate that no more than 1 infinity stone can be attached to a single ally.

Thank you for the great video explaining more than the rule book does. I was a little confused as to how many infinity stones can be attached to a single ally. In the rule book, on the final “Thanos” page, it says no ally can have more than one stone equipped, as it’s too much power to wield without having the infinity gauntlet. However, in the video and in some of the comments, it’s been stated that more than one stone can be attached to an ally. So, I was looking for clarification on that rule. Thank you.

IME - having to play the same deck 3 - 4 games, in order to see how each works, is a bit of a learning curve for people just wanting to try it out. Also, I like "spite / take that" games, but they're very unpopular in my FLGS group - too many hurt feelings / egos.

For Disney I find that you can get the hang of most decks if you put yourself in the Villain's shoes. Play the deck as if you are playing the movie from their angle and things usually work out. That's actually what I love most about the game, the fact that they captured the stories that brought the Villains to life in the first place.

it looks better than disney just for the fact a fate card can be drawn that affects you, affects the game state, or even if you were looking to target a specific player it could be more beneficial or only work on a specific villian. There also looks like there's a higher degree of interaction with what I've seen with killmonger and thanos interacting with other villains boards directly.

Thanks for the video! Three questions...
    1. ‘A Stone is Found’ if you are playing 2 player against Thanos and you reveal this fate card, would you play it on yourself or discard?
    2. ‘Deaths Favour’ The text specifies when you move to this location.. does this mean you must vanquish or activate as your first action before doing anything else?
    3. Other player items in your domains. On your turn are you able to remove them like you can any of your own cards? For example Killmongers explosives?
    Thanks!!

Awesome video!!! This game seems interesting...a mix between a board game and a card game (or is it more of one of the other?)! I wish that the player pieces were the actual figures of the villains instead of a symbolic, abstract "pawn"-type game piece. So you can move to any location in your mini-board during your turn and try to do all of the actions indicated (and fight any heroes on them)? Do you just keep moving in one of the 4 (or is it 5) locations again and again? I love that each villain has their own objective to achieve! Are some of these objectives easier than others? Like, Is there an "easiest" villain to play, or are they all equal with regard to difficulty in achieving objectives? Also, the Disney version has expansions. Will this have them as well? Thanks for giving us an overview of how to play!

    • @WatchItPlayed
      @WatchItPlayed 3 года назад +1

Glad you enjoyed! And yes, each turn, you pick a new spot within your board to move to, and activate those actions. I think some of the villains are likely a bit more straightforward, but I can't really speak to the game balance. I would need to play a lot more to feel comfortable saying for sure.

Do you mean that after that vanquish action, the stone remains, and another ally can then claim later or next turn?
Thank you in advance and keep up the great work!

You’ve got it absolutely correct! I was combining two examples there. One where the item was on its own and then if there was an enemy present. Fantastic video & explanations. I needed this so much before playing. Tho 2 questions that could help a lot.
    1. How does Remove work exactly, as in, how do you perform a Remove? The Ultron Sentry remove cards don’t explain how to remove Sentries from your domain. Please explain if you can.
    2. When you Vanquish a hero after your ally battles it, does your ally get discarded automatically, even if it has higher strength then the hero? Or does your ally only survive if the hero is at ZERO strength?
This would save so many arguments we’re having atm. Rn we’re playing Remove as a Play A Card spot. So you can Remove a Sentry if you use a Play A Card turn, which makes it more fair than removing a card with zero effort.
    Sorry so long.

Hey there, let's see if I can help:
      1) Your Upgrade tiles will refer to the process of "removing Sentries" from your Domain in order to complete the appropriate Upgrade. Removing your Sentries can be done at any point during your turn, and removing Sentries does not require any Power to be spent (with the exception of Age of Ultron), and does not require the use of any actions. Just remember that you may only complete ONE Upgrade per turn.
      2) It is discarded automatically.

    2 card specific questions.
Dora Milaje- is a specific protector to Killmongerer, if that villain picks that fate card, it is discarded without being played? And another fate card is drawn, or is the fate action considered resolved?
Hatut Zeraze also is specific to the Killmongerer domain, when drawn and played by someone other than Killmongerer, it’s noted instruction is only done on initial placement, but does it still remain in play covering the area in Kill’s domain until vanquished?

As someone who has a bit of an expansion addiction (AKA Quinsdrome), if I find a game I like the idea of, I'm going to get as much of it as I can so I can fiddle with it all.
I suppose a question I would have is how well do these expansions mix with the base game, or even with each other? For example, could you play it in a similar fashion to something like SmashUp with its infinite expansions and pick which characters/villains you like? Or are the boxes themselves meant more as standalones?

One rule we were unsure on is how items work once played. I know you have to spend the required power to play the card and then use the card as shown, but how do you use the item in future turns, and do you need to pay the power cost every time?
