My favorite metal detector. I have found hundreds of coins and relics with it but have never used it in the gold fields. You have to dig everything. Even 1mm square tinfoil sets the thing off.
I'm new to gold prospecting. I bought a GB2 and took it out for the first time and it works great. I found a bunch of junk as my wife would say LOL... But I will tell you it is easy to work. It finds everything. All I need now is a gold patch.
That's awesome 👍 at least you know where the gold is not one step closer to your first nugget. You will find it it's only a matter of time and you'll never forget that moment ⛏️👍😎🍻
Interesting..went threw there with the monster and nothing.Same thing with the gb2 and 24k after I drywash I was checking the hole with both and those machines always traded off finding targets the other wouldn't. I would love the gold bug 2 with the monsters 5" coil🤔🤣
Good question 👍 by GBX 5000 I'm assuming that you are referring to the Minelab GP 5000 🤔 The 5000 and the SDC are different. Different technologies, design, coil options, etc. Both are very capable and designed to find gold. One is not better than the other.
The Minelab GPX 5000 and Minelab SDC 2300 are both Pulse Induction detectors. The 5000 goes a lot deeper, has many more coil options. The 2300 is a simple turn on and go detector, but does not punch as deep as the 5000, but will pick up better on the small gold near the surface. Pulse Induction detectors are great on gold, not really for coin detecting, as there is no discrimination, so they pretty much hit on anything metal. Another great feature of Pulse Induction compared to VLF, is you will hardly pick up on hot rocks...
Mission accomplished 👍👍
Thanks Marc! 😎👍 I'm ready to do it again 😀
I've dug at least 500 buckshot for every piece of gold. Have 3 shoe boxes of lead. Love that sound.....
Oh yeah that's the right ratio lol 😜⛏️😎🍻💯
Lovely day out detecting with you all, thanks 😊
Glad you enjoyed watching our adventure 👍😎🍻⛏️

In general, which one is better, GBX 5000 with multi-function dishes ,,, SDC 2300 as raw production and in general for you

Do you think a pin pointer would’ve helped?
Nope. Gave away every pin pointer I ever had lol 😎👍🍻💯⛏️
