I have a 1998 Opel Astra G 1.2 48kw/65hp. On paper it says that it can only do 165km/h but I managed to push it to 185km/h on the A44, completely flat piece of Autobahn. It could've got to 190 but it is my only car atm and I didn't want the Pistons to blow up lol I am really impressed by it, I am certainly sure that it could get up to 200ish km/h with a 6th gear
I still own it, it's from 2000 and I've never had any problems! But now I'll have to buy a new car, because I'm afraid that after 20 years it will give problems ... which car do you recommend so as not to regret the Astra?
Maybe look for the same car but a younger version. Cars from germany will almost never disappoint you. Or maybe a car from Japan like Toyota or Nissan.
@@shoots_by_leon even the 75HP one can make it to 195 GPS/205 speedometer. Depends on the gear-ratio of the transmition, cause there have been like 3 diffrent versions in the Astra G.

Bei mir entfalten sich aber ab ca. 130Km bis zur Höchstgeschwindigkeit heftige Windgeräusche vom hinteren Teil meines Cabrios. Die höre ich bei Ihnen so nicht...............oder hört man diese wegen der selektiven Aufnahme nicht? Beste Grüße. Paul
Well that engine is either 85 or 75 dont know where you got that extra one (removed the exhaust ?) and those had a top speed of 180 new. Speedometers lie,i had almost 200 displayed at 187 according to the gps and was going downhill with a well maintained astra 2.0dti with 100 horsepower. So unless you did something to that engine or it was all downhill you were doing the cars original top speed around 180 which is fine for at best a 16 year old car.
I have 99 astra, 66kW (90hp), says in papers that max speed 155, mine went 190 at 5500+ RPM and then it cant go any further and cant reach redline in 5th gear
I own an Astra G 1.4 16V (90PS), and its behavior is mostly the same, it goes up to 180/190km/h on its own, and downhill can go up to 210km/h, both on GPS and the speedometer.
По ростовским дорогам😂 вполне управляема. До 180 на моторе 1.6 как нефиг делать пуляет. До 200 уже тяжеловато но вполне реально. Подвеску перетруси всю и будет управляться

У меня 2007 го. Просто Ляля масло от замены до замены не рвал не гонял ! Движок сухой не где ржавчины не увидишь . Могу продать на дисках чёрный .

No no the 75 HP is the old engine with carburator this engine is a injektion engine with katalysator it makes 86 HP z16se

On paper it says 86hp but never tested it!

I have one and it's 75hp and it can go fairly till 160 the top speed for this model is 175 but thats to mutch for this engine.

but you go downhill all the time additionally the meter is lying turn on the GPS
