- Euphonium player Glenn Van Looy plays Roger Dérongés beautiful Walking on Music at the IET Festival in Atlanta, America.
Video and recording by David Bjornstad
This is the new generation of euphonium musicians. He is the standard for low brass players. He is a master of this horn. It will be fun to see where the next generation takes this amazing instrument. But Glenn is a thrill to listen to.
As a trombonist who plays mostly lyrical material, I sincerely appreciated and enjoyed this! Absolutely beautiful!
May I get the notes of this amazing piece of music?

It’s no telling how fast his air speed is to even that kind of sound
it's not much about air speed actually, a lot more dependent on an open embechure and CONSISTENT air
woah whats the lever that you have that you use with your left thumb?
AlternateMusicAddict it's a main tuning slide trigger. Push it in and your main tuning slide comes out so you can prevent notes from sounding sharp.
ive never seen that on a euphonium before
Its a 4 valve since he doesnt have on top, its like 6 position on trombone or 1 and 3 value
@@ian_thegr8239 nah it's not a fourth valve, his fourth valve is on the side, under his left thumb is the trigger that makes notes flatter in case they are sharp
@@joshuafuentes5411 oh perhaps my old band director had a euphonium like that and it was a fourth valve but u could be right I really dont know im a tRoMbOne
