1. dont use case, will damage the laptop screen hinge and will have the effect of slightly lifting when the screen is closed 2. the use of a screen protector will put pressure on the screen when it is closed, magnets are not good for laptop Screens

great purchase! You should not use a case for Mac, it is not recommended by apple - watch "Why You Shouldn't Put A Case On Your MacBook" video by Apple Explained
@@Worthless. If it's for performance, i it's shouldn't be good for the Mac, cause it can trap the heat, just like using case on gaming smartphone. But for just low-performance daily use, it's fine. Mine is M1 Pro 14", and not using case, bc i need the performance so it's usually getting hot for my activity. But from me just if u need any additional protection to bring your macbook somewhere, using sleeve should be enough. Now i'm looking for hard sleeve case, but it's kinda difficult for me to find it
Loose hinges from a case overtime are easily fixable, dents and a broken display isn’t so much. (and also funny cause apple supports a phone mount holding a 240g iPhone 14 Pro Max, i feel that has more potential to damage the hinges than some light plastic case)

Personally, I keep a case on my MacBook just to prevent dents and nothing has happened to my laptop so far
I just bought the m3 2024 air, and someone said that the case damages the laptop over time but idk if that’s true
@@DodlyShorts I’ve had my MacBook Pro for 4 years with a case and nothing has happened
