Mr Zakh, the ending to this video is most unsatisfying. The fade to black ends before the pyramid is complete. Also, it is difficult to appreciate the finished pyramid because of the cards added over it in RUclips. An extra 30 seconds would have made a huge improvement.
Aside from that nice pyramid, I'm really relieved that the house on the pyramid's right corner finally made it to a 2x2 after that constant evolving/devolving process :')
Is this actually how the originally game looked? i mean no mods or HD texture packs?. Because if this is the original graphics, it's insane. This game has more detail than a lot of modern city builders.
@@RMJ1984 I think he's using a Fullscreen mod in this, but overall, yes, that's how the game looked. It's on steam, pretty cheap if I'm not mistaken, you can check it out for yourself
Love the concept! Sound effects on, no commentary. I remember doing this as a kid, just center my screen on the pyramid and watch its progress, then when it was over scroll back around to find half the city engulfed in flames LOL
Back when I was playing game this on Pentium II @ 400 Mhz, with 16 MB RAM, I used to place the monuments down just before I went to bed, and it might be done in the morning. It usually wasnt done yet, though.
this game is soooooo visualy satisfying! I love just to look at that common residence houses in housing block. I could live in that with orange/ochra rooftop
"Slaves? What slaves? These are highly skilled professionals employed on a permanent contract. And we even let them eat!" (Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra)
I always loved watching the Sphinx get built because occassionally the masons would fall off the scaffolding to their death, and I'd always anticipate it, for I kept my own special Sphinx-Death Toll. Maybe I was a bit of a weird kid after all.
Hello there Zakh. Nice video. You know it is funny how can someone relax with his hobby. I make jigsaw puzzles and do relax when I watch back my timelapses. I got a kind of similar feeling when I happened to come across this video. Thanks again, and keep on Hobbying. ;)
8 days... on normal speed, playing each evening until late night during uni yeas... when the game was "fresh". And it was a great feeling to finish it. The last mission has 3 pyramids and a Sphinx. 2 medium pyramids and one large... is a beast of a mission. Finished it years later when I got time.
I personally prefer the theory that the pyramids were built using goatskin floats to carry stone blocks up flooded channels, but this was definitely interesting to watch.
The quick movement of the people made me nervous, so I set youtube playback speed to 0,25x, AND MY COZY ASMR TURNED INTO INDUSTRIAL DEMON VOICES HELP I'M TRAPPED
Looks awesome, although I've always preferred the look of grand piramid over my city in immortal cities: children of the nile, especially since you can get a panoramic shot of your city with enormous piramid in the background
Hello. What version of Pharaoh are you playing? I ask this because I play in 1024x768 resolution. In your videos I notice that the resolution is much higher! Remembering that I am playing with the CD of the year of Release 1999, on Windows 10. Big hug!
Monuments are one of the reasons that I absolutely LOVE Emperor & Zeus... did not play Pharaoh though because I started with Emperor & I preferred global labour pool more... so gave Pharaoh a miss... maybe when the remaster comes I might pick it up. Caesar was not my cup of tea... missing monument building being one of the factors...
Some of the music has copyright issues but also on these kinds of videos I tend to turn off the music because it can be distracting for some people using this as background or trying to get to sleep.
Generally if you're playing and you don't turn on monument speedup, building this monument would be done over a 2-3 hour range. Meanwhile you would be building the rest of your city and achieving other goals and ratings.
This game has still today an incredible sound atmosphere and music. Do you still think making this kind of ASMR videos on pharaoh? Maybe with the soundtrack on it!
Being an old game they didn't go all in with the construction, the new theories are really fascinating. And this pyramid sadly has no internals at all :P

@@sproutingpotato6963 Haha I see what you mean. I wasn't sure which way would be more relaxing, I'll keep that in mind next time.
@@GamerZakh Yes, GZ, the relaxation ended prematurely...way too familiar for most of us.
Didnt know you were also making ASMR
I never realized how completely wrong they made the foundation building of a pyramid in this game until now. And what a waste of water too! 🤣🤣🤣
Aside from that nice pyramid, I'm really relieved that the house on the pyramid's right corner finally made it to a 2x2 after that constant evolving/devolving process :')
It's the pharaoh asmr we've been missing all our lives
The amount of work and detailing in a 21 yo game...
is fantasticccc i loved
And none of this was behind a paywall wall
At first I wasn’t into the art design. But I’m growing to love it. The buildings and statues really do look fantastic

Let's just appreciate the dedication of all those workers using themselves as mortar.
Reminds me of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.

I can't wait for the remake. Pharaoh was one of my favourite city builders, my top fav was Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom.
this game is soooooo visualy satisfying! I love just to look at that common residence houses in housing block. I could live in that with orange/ochra rooftop
That bird, lion and temple sounds....
veveeevheeeee
grrrrr
tummmmmm
i find monument building as one of the most fun things in pharaoh. guess its time for me to boot that game up again
Man watching monuments being built in Pharaoh has always been one of the most satisfying thing to me since I was a kid
The last stage is so Eastern-European: one man works while the rest watches him.
Wow the nostalgia rush; Pharaoh, Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom, and Caesar games were the best.
Ahhh the monuments in Pharaoh . By the time you build it you forget why you needed it .
I suppose that's how it was irl too. Pharaohs starting pyramids for their burial decades before they're expected to die.
I loved this game. So glad its getting a remaster on Steam.
"Slaves? What slaves? These are highly skilled professionals employed on a permanent contract. And we even let them eat!"
(Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra)
The symmetry of the layout alone is pleasing
its super relaxing and satisfying to watch the construction process, thanks for uploading ♡
We need Pharaoh 2 with even bigger pyramids...
Oh man, I spend so much time on that game as a kid, never fully understand how to satisfy my people but piramid? Respect 😂
Not what I wanted but what I actually needed in this troubled times.
I always loved watching the Sphinx get built because occassionally the masons would fall off the scaffolding to their death, and I'd always anticipate it, for I kept my own special Sphinx-Death Toll. Maybe I was a bit of a weird kid after all.
I laughed so hard the first time I saw that.
Oooohhh, I've been looking for a video like this. Feels good, man. I'm gonna be keeping track of that playlist.
Well it's nice to finally know how the Pyramids were built.
Now that is a relaxing ASMR that i didnt know i needed.
Now do CAESAR and ZEUS ones, and ima chill the entire day
Reminds of one of those late 90s screensavers where some little dudes on the screen would build a house, step by step.
I'm thinking AoE 1 installation
Ah... the memories... thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!

all the little ants toiling away.
Interesting video that reveales the secret of building of Pyramids
Now that's ASMR I can get behind, when is 10 hour version coming?
Now this is the relaxing content I subscribed for! x)
Thanks for this!
Filed under "Most satisfying 22 min video to watch as you start your day"
Or end your day. Or in the middle of the day. Or the middle of the night.
Can't wait to replicate this in the remake...
now that's more fun to play
I played this game in around 2000 and still got the CD of it. I remember really enjoyed.
this is so satisfying...thank you :)
I've never seen a pyramid been built this fast.
Joining the requests for Zeus and Caesar ASMR next, kind sir.
I needed this, perfect thing for a stressful day :D
its always fun how they run in full speed😄
after completing the pyramid you get this "biggest monument build - check" feeling in your mind :D
reminds me of age of empires 1 install screen with the pyramid
It' stunning to see this in a 20+ year old game o.o holy
This is the kind of stuff i need when i get stressed :D
That was very relaxing!
And now I want to play pharaoh again thx 😄😄
Wow a decent video with great new idea
I hope the new pharaoh will bring this kind of satisfaction when building Pyramid.
Took 22 minutes at full speed to complete this masterpiece. Default speed or even slower - Many hours later....
8 days... on normal speed, playing each evening until late night during uni yeas... when the game was "fresh".
And it was a great feeling to finish it.
The last mission has 3 pyramids and a Sphinx. 2 medium pyramids and one large... is a beast of a mission. Finished it years later when I got time.
got the new one pharaoh: new era, and i miss the old fashion of the way the workers bring the blocks for the pyramids
So satisfying, neat, and magnificent 🥺
I wish AoE had a city builder mode (or mod) that built things to scale. Size, time (within reason), and HP wise.
Hey i love this can you make more like this and mabey from other old classic city building games i really love this and make me relax ❤️
Like SimCity 3000/4?
I might have to get this again yknow 😂
Beautiful

hell yeah.... dis dat shit.....
So much time needed to complete these kind of missions. *sigh*
You just need to wait and wait....
Holop lemme get my headphones this is so awesome!
That was just satisfying not seeing it stall.
Most beautiful!

What software do you use to record this game? :) My OBS can't handle it sadly.
I use OBS, for old games the trick is to record your whole desktop not the game itself.
@@GamerZakh Thnx for the info :) - I hope the resolution will scale properly as well.
interesting that without hulling, the builders still have to go through the construction site gate to enter the area
This seems like it's educational or is educational on how they build pyramids.
Hi im your fan from philippines nice video btw keep doing it.
This is my kind of ASMR.
Temple builds from Zeus: Master of Olympus would be equally so.

nice planning! btw, how to disable the notification boxes?
At the top of the screen you can find options. There's one for notifications where you can toggle which ones you want.
Please do this but for Zeus temple in the zeus game :)
Must have ... Pharaoh remake!
Can you also include the music? Or will it get demonetized? Anywhich way still relaxing. Thank you!
Some of the music has copyright issues but also on these kinds of videos I tend to turn off the music because it can be distracting for some people using this as background or trying to get to sleep.
@@GamerZakh good point! Thanks :)
Lovely sound effects and very soothing to watch.. but I think I'd rather listen to the soundtrack instead ^^
#MakeWarGreatAgain lol They need the battles back on the primary city map...
best game ever mad after StA:GoB C2
There was anounced Builders of Egypt? Reminds me of that. Out yet??
I’ve never played the game, but I’m curious. In a normal game speed how long does this take and what do you do while it builds?
Generally if you're playing and you don't turn on monument speedup, building this monument would be done over a 2-3 hour range. Meanwhile you would be building the rest of your city and achieving other goals and ratings.
@@GamerZakh I miss this game.

Oof, also.. the top layer was different stone type added on the "steps" instead of chopping off half of the step.
yeah, that is most definitely not how to build a pyramid, but if the game is pretty old they probably didn't know any better.
nice i never got pyramid done because i lost my saved game
Which mods allow you to build this?
I'm more a Zeus player.. but I wished there was monuments as massive as this one in Zeus
Satisfying :-)
No big hollow rooms to reduce the weight?
Brilliant
How are you running this game at HD resolution?
You want to get the Pharaoh Resizer app made by crudelios
And not a single temple collapsed for want of maintenance. I don't believe it. XD
where can i see the whole map ?
Is it a Cleopatra expansion? I don't remember that kind of statues like at top of the screen in basic Pharaoh.
If you press 'R' with the statues selected when placing them it changes their design and rotation.
@@GamerZakh Yes I know that, but that tallest statues aren't available to build in my version of the game.
@@DMKano87 Hmm I don't know if Cleopatra added more statues. What version are you playing? The game did get some patches back in the day too.
@@GamerZakh My copy is several years old.
Красавчик, прикольно снял это
Historically the top of the pyramids were apparently at one point gilded too... Or at least covered in some shiny metal.
Yes, gold.
I'm pretty sure they do that in the game, the video ends before the pyramid finishes.
@@WillowTitov this game was how I learned that.
