Great work as usual Todd it think if you ever tried an akai force you would love it. Mc707 and the force are my 2 fans. I just picked up a fully functional mc505
Just got an MC-707 - wow its amazing - the synth engine is fantastic (been playing over midi from my Pro-2) - currently sequencing A question of Time (Depeche Mode) as an exercise in programming clips. DO you recommend a way to calibrate the pads - quite a few notes are going in with low velocities.
@@toddsmithmusic3172 No I think i need to hit them a bit harder or increase the sensitivity. So I can play the same note but the velocity (each time) can be a bit variable (some around 100 but others 30) - the sound seems to be the same (on note entry) but then on playback the velocities make them quieter. I think there is a way to make the pads more sensitive. Lots to learn with this device - I am playing the patches a lot via a DSI Pro-2 - it sounds great.
@@simoningate2056 Honestly I mainly use master keyboard for anything synth. Pads I only really touch for drums. I can give it a look over this weekend. If you do have a solid keyboard you can midi into the 707 I do recommend it. It really opens up the synth section
@@toddsmithmusic3172 Thanks Todd - yes have quite a few - currently using a PRO-2 - as that is also linked to my Behringer synths - feeding out CV as well.
Feeling the zen core love ❤🤘🤘🤘

That’s sick. 505 is classic !
Brilliant! Do you use drum samples or the stock sounds of the mc707?
Those are stock. I’d have to be home to look up the bank name.

Some pads play lower velocity than others ?

Have a good day !
Great! But why mono?
I don’t think it was recorded mono. If it was that was a mistake
@@toddsmithmusic3172 Maybe that is good. It sounds very vintage in mono, I like it.
