As much as I love Jupiter, the highlight of this documentary for me was when the people talked about fulfilling childhood dreams and how being a part of the mission touched their lives. For me, there is just as much beauty in that as there is in the beautiful and mysterious planet Jupiter. The Juno mission was absolutely incredible. I really enjoyed this documentary, thank you.

The more I watch and learn about astronomy the more I realize we are all just earthlings. We are bound to our beautiful mother Earth. Space is too hazardous for us. We should not waste our precious time trying to find another habital planet. When we have been blessed with the absolute most wonderful planet in all the universe
You seem to forget that earth is also hazardous to our health. Consider the alternative when we all starve to death because something is too hazardous for us. Consider the hazards of hunting, fishing, or gathering when you are dragging your knuckles and your dinner is stalking you. Earth is a dangerous place and homo sapiens have nearly outgrown their use.

Congratulations. What a wonderful documentary. I'm a HUGE NASA fan!! I watch videos about them EVERYDAY! I used to be a "flat head earther", but now, these CGIs definitely convinced me we're on ball to discover OUR his-story! Grest job!
i remember when i was excited about it in 2012 and i couldn't wait for what it told us... it's no a few days until 2019 and it hasn't told me anything i wanted to know about (the inside composition of jupiter)... i guess i found the massive amount of ammonia interesting along the thiiiiin outer onion shell layer.

Awesomeness pure awesomeness....based on the data you guys sharing I'm assuming it's already there...anyone has any update? Job well done by NASA. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen across the board. Absolutely great. nuff respect from the Caribbean.
fantastic documentary! As an Asimov enthusiast, I hope that one day we can live in another planet and travel through the space without any problem at all.
Most systems out there are binary meaning they have 2 suns I've always thought of Jupiter as our companion star that failed to ignite, our system is not the average only having a single Sun or star, the background music is heavenly in this documentary, wonderful upload thanks.
But chances are that Mercury was probably a gas giant that got its atmosphere blown away millions of years ago, just like the hot Jupiters we see in other systems today. Mercury is the densest planet in our system relative to its size, many scientists think that it's the left over core of a gas giant.
*Is there a updated 2018 that answers the questions they are asking about Jupiter* ? You watch these and see all these unanswered questions but for the first time ever we have answers or someone does but they aren't making videos.
Amazing that in August of 2011 this had as little National coverage. I remember seeing a little something but minimal coverage. Maybe it had more coverage in on air time than the manned space flights we made in the 60's and 70's. At least that's what I remember in when I was a child. But in the 60's and 70's our home TV had maybe 6 channels. And manned spaced flight was by far the most interesting thing we could see. Now we have hundreds of channels...and the largest percentage of our adolescent and adult population are more interested in some other insignificant program or event. The work and effort put into this type of job/mission has to be mind boggling. Our countries top administrations need to help support these efforts by Nationally announcing publicly the importance of these missions and the importance of them. What do we gain, what are the possibilities of these missions and why its so important. At the end of the day all we know of as working class tax payers is how much it cost us, what we end up doing is destroying the support to continue these missions publicly. The poor have the littlest interest, the middle class is tired of paying for this research because they really don't know what its provided them in way of money or food or health. The ultra rich love it because they profit from it by providing technical and hardware for the mission which is paid for from the middle class tax dollars. We need to work on showing the people who pay for this how it benefits them and the future of their children. By doing this we gain public support, the elected officials at the highest post find that their support of these studies win votes.
Because space is the final frontier. We could find other species somewhere. We have already found planets like ours. It's endless. That's why it's so amazing.
gravity and motion have the same effect on angular momentum the larger a body, the more likely it is for smaller objects to have entanglements by chance even partial ones. well we all know that entanglement tries to maintain a canceling out group spin, but the non entangled particles are way more and do not care about that, there fore all entanglements are forced to break, but new probabilistic entanglements occur. Guess what, it is more likely new entanglements to be established closer to the center of mass than afar, thus gravity attracts.

yeah, i'm with you 100% i always listen more intently when someone opens up admitting that they don't really know for sure, but here's the theory rather than acting like they know everything, someone who admits that they're unsure carries way more credibility and shows way more confidence, imo.
because its all crap no such thing as gravity its never been proven wake up people....do yr own research n then u will see instead of believing everything on the net n fuck of all places as youtube....
Oliver Miller Sad I know, shows you how dumbed down our society is. If most people are entertained and have shallow possessions they don't care about the world around them.
because this is a bullshit. for exp 1. the counter rotationg layers of jupiter cloud, there are no experiment can prove or replicating those thing in lab scale. the comp simulations NASA used to replicated this thing also FAILED. basically the standart models of planet formation based on gravity is failed. you can checked for many NASA scientist that surprises for what juno probes found, one of them even said that they are predicting that some of their predictions and theories will be failed but they never thought that almost all of their theories failed. LOL 2. they cant fit their models to construct "the nearly 5 billions years old of history" why? because A. the solar systems is much2 younger (exp. venus is a very young planet and still very hot that it can melt lead). B. our solar system formations is in chaotic order, we can compares this with other planetary systems from the other exo planets we have found, the gas giant usually borned closer to the stars, but ours the gas giant was farther away. C. they still cant explained why some of the planets tilting in extremes angle, venus in counter rotation motion and some also homogeneous on the tilting angle. newton gravity cant explained this, einstein relativity also failed to explained this. 3. the understanding about mass and planetary structures inside also very wrong according what the evidences has shown, and when they keep pushing gravity to fits their models the more they are puzzles. LOL for exp. A. jupiter mega electromagnetic fields which in juno mission they only can detect 5% or less than its original strengh. B. jupiter hyper electrical north pole, full of giant lightning and mega storms that keep changing and they are also counter rotating which is the signatures of birkeland current. C . the heat on jupiter and on jupiter moons south poles, can gravity explained why? no of course LOL D. jupiter sizes changing, contracting and destracting. can gravity explained why? LOL in electric engineering it is very easy to explained why, because plasma glow or plasma field can changes their sizes relatives with the electric charges. if planets working with this models then what its mean is that it has no solid cores inside and the mass of the planets cant be determined using the standard measurements we've used today. so the question is, why people will be interesting watching on something that failed??? i cant barely last 15 minutes watching this bullsht. im a science lover, a nerds with thousands of hours of science documentaries on my belt, ive watched from sagan nova series to neil degrass tyson nova series, hundreds of lectures too. But now i cant swallowed all their bullsht anymore, the standart models of particles is FAILED, and full of crackpot invented to patch the wholes established systems of failures theory of gravity, the standart theory of planets formation and space are all failed, how many black something holes that they already invented? 8 types? 9 types? every months they kept coming with new types of holes, super massive? mega? LOL and the good news NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN PROVEN. they said blackholes is the strongest gravity objects that can suck in all matters and not even light can escapes, well until they found there is holes that spitting matters and light from its center LMAO, crackpot fking bllshiit LOL.. you all want a real science?? you have to look on better and more accurates things. there are alot of more credible science than what NASA & royal science academy can provided. open your mind and learn and USE YOUR LOGIC not using authority as your measurements sticks. you can started your new journey to real science at : ruclips.net/video/t7EAlTcZFwY/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/CvfFJiUWuDk/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/jw_PJPqVk0o/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/tQCKb1JV-4A/видео.html im not a conspiracy theorist and none of that videos made by amateurs, they are credible people with titles and academic achievements, what they said based on FACTS, evidences and experiments. i hope many people can waking up their mind.
abc defg but the internet and youtube also helped to spreading what is true. a decades ago i will never know that gravity theories are false, blackholes is just crackpot, there is no bigbang, standard theory of particles is failed, we dont know what inside of the planets and stars, we dont know how stars works and its absolutely not a nuclear furnace, we dont know that the red shift is not the sign that objects accelerating away from us, many modern illness is hoax and just the way for the big pharmacies to makes money, the history of the earth is wrong and there are big gaps to fill to understand how natures works, our modern archaeology also very wrong and many discoveries from times to times proven the facts that the uniformitarianism that the major established science endorsed is wrong. are u expecting people will get all this information like the old way? from schools and university? from newspaper and magazines? LOL without youtube and internet many people including me will still living in the caves of ignorance. youtube and internet are the open market of ideas who can competes equally with the mainstream science and excluded their power of authorities out of the equations so people can learns both and choose which one is the pathway of TRUTH and inline with LOGICAL THINKING and fit with the evidences.
If you think that's amazing, go to NASA's website and view the latest photos from the Juno Cam that was time lapsed and clearly shows the Gililean moons orbiting Jupiter.
The more I see and read about the cosmos I get the impression that scientists haven't really got a clue how our solar system was created they're just guessing.
Felix Burke better than following folklore passed down by one book where nobody knows who wrote it and came only a few thousands of years ago. The Bible is a joke. The threat of God was only introduced to keep the masses from over powering the few that ruled. Believing in God is a joke. You aren’t even allowed to consider anything else without feeling extremely guilty like you are betraying God. A severely cruel, flawed, immature, poor planning God. If you’re going to believe in something, believe in a God that is good not like the one billions of you believe in that plays mind games.
They are positive learners compared to the classmates that only made jokes in the class. Only a few are willing to learn more about space they are heroes 💪
Yes. And genuine scientists will tell you so. It's only the propagandists who say, "we know". Don't believe me? Watch interviews with working scientists. They'll always say, 'the theory is' and admit there are competing theories. In other words, we don't know. Human knowledge is profoundly difficult. The most difficult. Some say impossible. But the extreme challenge of human knowledge is not something talked about in polite company because it eventually leads to the need for revelation as the source of axioms for human knowledge, which is a forbidden topic, because of fallen man's antipathy for the Divine.
So glad I found this wonderful documentary about a space mission! And visiting that giant of our solar system, Jupiter, is a great adventure, even though witnessed by humans on earth. What's fantastic is that humans CAN witness it on earth.
I am loving it, this explains all my curiosity about Juno and Jupiter... Thanks to you all at NASA. Now I can explain with better clarity to my children whose generation might actually make it to space.
This is a great video. that being said this is absolutely the cadence and manner of speaking that inspired Tim and Eric’s space video where they talk about Tilmans crest
Who the hell is the 1.6k people who disliked this video😡 Y'all probably are the type of people who only care about social media and nothing outside of that. Space is the future. Space is the key to life. Quit looking down and look up to the sky! Expand your mind and explore the unexplored!!! Us humans need to expand our minds to space. I just wish people had the same view about that...

Documentaries like these are astounding and an incredible demonstration of the intelligence of the human mind and awesome technology.Sometimes I’m embarrassed to admit I am human and at other times I am proud to be part of this species.I wish we could demonstrate our intelligence by how we manage our interpersonal and social relations on the planet and manage our affairs in the family of the man.
Why do they keep saying we don't know if Jupiter has a solid core, while at the same time saying that it must have soaked up billions of asteroid and comet impacts? It MUST have a solid core the size of a small planet, at least.
Well, what you say is true. The problem for science (As always!) is that there is no direct evidence for _knowing_ that there is (probably very small in relation to overall size) a solid core. I think what might be meant by the statement is that the *original* creation of Jupiter (and Saturn) would have been almost entirely gaseous; being hydrogen and helium. That's about it really.
Adam Mangler **" The problem for science (As always!) is that there is no direct evidence for knowing that there is (probably very small in relation to overall size) a solid core."** I would say that actually watching a solid body object fall into Jupiter would be plenty of evidence that there is some sort of solid mass underneath all that gas... Or else where did that solid body object go? To Oz? I think not. Even if that object is obliterated into base elements/gases upon entry. The heavier element will still fall to the lower regions and coalesce. Now there is no doubt that there will be carbon involved in many/most of these collisions. So what happens when you compress carbon under great pressures and heat? You make diamond, obviously. Jupiter is probably covered in diamond... lol, probably not. But it's still a fun idea. There are undoubtedly no less than 4 states of matter. Solid, liquid, gaseous, and plasma... Jupiter is so large it probably contains all 4. Each state residing at different elevations and pressures. But I guess only time will tell.
Don't get me wrong I am super excited for this mission but I still want to see the surface of Europa up close before I die. Plssss nasa make it happen soon :'(

Excellent, cant wait till she arrives at Jupiter next month
The wait is over
NASA has approved an update to Juno’s science operations until July 2021.
Great picture

I can watch this again and again and again.
more than just a documentary, we can have great knowledge about outer space
i really love this one
How can anyone dismiss science. Thank you Mr. Gasser!

how very fitting
jupiter is breathtaking. words can’t explain how beautiful jupiter is.
It's amazing how far we have gone, can't wait til they start shipping humans over there, like my wife
Joe Marra Funny thing is my wife would probably be happier.
Joe Marra you are the man!

Joe Marra It's amazing how far we have gone

@boricua so true!
@Frank Lee u are so wrong. It's not the planet, it's the shit people n governments on it that are no good.
I want to love this comment 5000 times 💜💜💜
Takes this mind melting doc three years to get just north of 1M views. Meanwhile a guy yelling "PewdiePie gets 25M on launch. Justin Bieber 14M one day. And wonder why Earth is a cataclysmic wreck!
Because dumb people can't enjoy these

A testament to the intelligence and interest of the human race. Yea, sad really....
Congratulations. What a wonderful documentary. This is how documentaries should be, focusing on a cientific approach explanation of the mission and avoiding the boring sensacionalism that exists nowadays in every documentaries (as aliens, planet X, starving black holes, paralel universes of dark matter, etc, etc). It is nice to hear intelligent people speaking
Although 800 million kilometers from home, the Juno mission has never been dull.
The intro had me hooked..."here's what we THINK happened"
very good! After all, in another 20 years theyll have changed their theories most likely.
That would be why they're called theories.
We hope that we are going to have more information. Thanks !!!
Love this great informative approach to the science of this Planet ..which I find extremely fascinating! Thank you for all your work. Love Jupitor and can't wait to see your findings..conclusion.
Love a good space documentary. THIS is a Good documentary!
Thank you for having the chance to watch this astonishing project unfold and gets on it's way. Mind boggling same as mind blowing! Now it's 2019 and I will search for results on this.
This is a great documentary. Thanks for posting!
Fantastic stuff because the drive these people have. The skills they perform and the relaxed presentation of what they did so far. And, for me as habitant of the ancient world, the women involved in this project.
Chapeau!!!

I'm old enough to remember when we had 9 planets
Yeah, before some diaper-clad snot nose arbitrarily decided Pluto wasn't a planet after all.
@@ApartmentKing66 Apparently it was a panel of diaper-clad snot noses who decided that but Pluto will always be a planet in my book, the cads.

I'm a HUGE NASA fan!! I watch videos about them EVERYDAY! I used to be a "flat head earther", but now, these CGIs definitely convinced me we're on ball to discover OUR his-story! Grest job!
I am very happy with these articles on space. I hope you keep them coming. I am getting a fuller education bit by bit.
Absolutely amazing video, makes me always wonder, great, fantastic people, all the best for all of you, you are always just outreagous.
Creators of Juno: Okay so how are we going to assemble our space craft.

Team member: Hey I have an idea
Amazing video, Thank you. Now I am interested and excited in the Juno mission. June 2016. Cant wait.
i remember when i was excited about it in 2012 and i couldn't wait for what it told us... it's no a few days until 2019 and it hasn't told me anything i wanted to know about (the inside composition of jupiter)... i guess i found the massive amount of ammonia interesting along the thiiiiin outer onion shell layer.

It's a SNOW STORM on the east coast of america today (01/23/2016 12:09 pm) and i'm really enjoying this documentary. I'm in Brooklyn New York laying with my girl, looking at Jupiter.....PS, She say's "what up youtube"....Thanks for the upload.
“Here’s what we THINK happened…” Thanks for that caveat and the great presentation. 👍🏼
Awesomeness pure awesomeness....based on the data you guys sharing I'm assuming it's already there...anyone has any update? Job well done by NASA. This is one of the best documentaries I've ever seen across the board. Absolutely great. nuff respect from the Caribbean.
Look out your window tonight, find distant Jupiter in the night sky, and know that we are working there---Incredible.
fantastic documentary! As an Asimov enthusiast, I hope that one day we can live in another planet and travel through the space without any problem at all.

Ohhh... I can't wait to see the official pictures and videos of Jupiter from this up close. It will make marvellous wallpapers.
Most systems out there are binary meaning they have 2 suns I've always thought of Jupiter as our companion star that failed to ignite, our system is not the average only having a single Sun or star, the background music is heavenly in this documentary, wonderful upload thanks.
***** Even if it ignited? (increasing its size) just a question, but thank you for the info.
***** Actually Brown Dwarfs are about the size of jupiter so yea ive always had the same thought that jupiter was a failed star.. Its even been backed
***** Well if it isnt a star i have no clue what to classify it as LOL
Not massive enough to ignite.
I wonder.

im so very proud of these individuals who contributed in this mission,
Amazing that in August of 2011 this had as little National coverage.
SPACE = something having room to create :)

gravity and motion have the same effect on angular momentum the larger a body, the more likely it is for smaller objects to have entanglements by chance even partial ones. well we all know that entanglement tries to maintain a canceling out group spin, but the non entangled particles are way more and do not care about that, there fore all entanglements are forced to break, but new probabilistic entanglements occur. Guess what, it is more likely new entanglements to be established closer to the center of mass than afar, thus gravity attracts.

Hi there! :')
What I learned:
JUNO is a Y-shaped hexagonal spacecraft designed to study Jupiter's aurorae.
what i learned:
aurorae is a real word, and is the plural form of aurora.

0:05, I love it...., "Here's what we THINK happened." Still though, it's a great documentary. Jupiter fascinates me to no end.
yeah, i'm with you 100%
i always listen more intently when someone opens up admitting that they don't really know for sure, but here's the theory
rather than acting like they know everything, someone who admits that they're unsure carries way more credibility and shows way more confidence, imo.
Jupiter is the Best , the Power, the number one. Beautiful documentary. Thanks
I can't believe that a Justin Bieber video has more views than this interesting documentary
exactly, because most people are dumb stupid ignorants :-)
because its all crap no such thing as gravity its never been proven wake up people....do yr own research n then u will see instead of believing everything on the net n fuck of all places as youtube....
Oliver Miller Sad I know, shows you how dumbed down our society is.
If most people are entertained and have shallow possessions they don't care about the world around them.
because this is a bullshit. for exp
1. the counter rotationg layers of jupiter cloud, there are no experiment can prove or replicating those thing in lab scale. the comp simulations NASA used to replicated this thing also FAILED. basically the standart models of planet formation based on gravity is failed. you can checked for many NASA scientist that surprises for what juno probes found, one of them even said that they are predicting that some of their predictions and theories will be failed but they never thought that almost all of their theories failed. LOL
2. they cant fit their models to construct "the nearly 5 billions years old of history" why? because A. the solar systems is much2 younger (exp. venus is a very young planet and still very hot that it can melt lead). B. our solar system formations is in chaotic order, we can compares this with other planetary systems from the other exo planets we have found, the gas giant usually borned closer to the stars, but ours the gas giant was farther away. C. they still cant explained why some of the planets tilting in extremes angle, venus in counter rotation motion and some also homogeneous on the tilting angle. newton gravity cant explained this, einstein relativity also failed to explained this.
3. the understanding about mass and planetary structures inside also very wrong according what the evidences has shown, and when they keep pushing gravity to fits their models the more they are puzzles.
C . the heat on jupiter and on jupiter moons south poles, can gravity explained why? no of course LOL
D. jupiter sizes changing, contracting and destracting. can gravity explained why?
8 types? 9 types? every months they kept coming with new types of holes, super massive? mega? LOL and the good news NONE OF THEM HAVE BEEN PROVEN. they said blackholes is the strongest gravity objects that can suck in all matters and not even light can escapes, well until they found there is holes that spitting matters and light from its center LMAO, crackpot fking bllshiit LOL..
you all want a real science?? you have to look on better and more accurates things. there are alot of more credible science than what NASA & royal science academy can provided. open your mind and learn and USE YOUR LOGIC not using authority as your measurements sticks. you can started your new journey to real science at :

im not a conspiracy theorist and none of that videos made by amateurs, they are credible people with titles and academic achievements, what they said based on FACTS, evidences and experiments. i hope many people can waking up their mind.
abc defg but the internet and youtube also helped to spreading what is true. a decades ago i will never know that gravity theories are false, blackholes is just crackpot, there is no bigbang, standard theory of particles is failed, we dont know what inside of the planets and stars, we dont know how stars works and its absolutely not a nuclear furnace, we dont know that the red shift is not the sign that objects accelerating away from us, many modern illness is hoax and just the way for the big pharmacies to makes money, the history of the earth is wrong and there are big gaps to fill to understand how natures works, our modern archaeology also very wrong and many discoveries from times to times proven the facts that the uniformitarianism that the major established science endorsed is wrong.
are u expecting people will get all this information like the old way? from schools and university? from newspaper and magazines? LOL
without youtube and internet many people including me will still living in the caves of ignorance.
youtube and internet are the open market of ideas who can competes equally with the mainstream science and excluded their power of authorities out of the equations so people can learns both and choose which one is the pathway of TRUTH and inline with LOGICAL THINKING and fit with the evidences.
I can't believe we are in orbit around this beautiful sphere
Ik ritee ... The amazing things us humans can do

so we are getting livestreaming and HD images from Jupiter by remotely operated Juno from 600mln miles?...:)
Excellent documentary. Great script, narration and capability insights.
So glad I found this wonderful documentary about a space mission! And visiting that giant of our solar system, Jupiter, is a great adventure, even though witnessed by humans on earth. What's fantastic is that humans CAN witness it on earth.

Why do they keep saying we don't know if Jupiter has a solid core, while at the same time saying that it must have soaked up billions of asteroid and comet impacts? It MUST have a solid core the size of a small planet, at least.
I agree.
Correct.
Adam Mangler **" The problem for science (As always!) is that there is no direct evidence for knowing that there is (probably very small in relation to overall size) a solid core."**
I would say that actually watching a solid body object fall into Jupiter would be plenty of evidence that there is some sort of solid mass underneath all that gas...
But I guess only time will tell.
the comets and asteroids would disintegrate on impact buddy. but it could have a liquid iron core
I honestly don’t see how people enjoy this documentary when everything is literally out of order
Don't get me wrong I am super excited for this mission but I still want to see the surface of Europa up close before I die. Plssss nasa make it happen soon :'(
