- Mudskipper is a 3 year old capybara. For complicated reasons, she has never been in water deep enough to really swim in (see my blog). I had this pool built especially for her, but now she is afraid to go in. We're working on it.
She looks so fine in those two-tone colors. Kind of like she's wearing full-body saddle shoes.
She's getting there! Nice pool!
She's such a cute thing. Also, is Sir Winston Bumblebee Barcode the 1st still with us?
No, I'm afraid WBB1 died a few months ago. He was about six, not sure exactly because I got him as an adult.
Capybara Madness Oh no... :( Well, I'm sure he's getting all the hay he could ever want in heaven.
How many capybaras do you have? Only her?
Yes, I only have her, but I have had two previous capybaras, Caplin Rous and Garibaldi (Gari) Rous.
Capybara Madness thank you for answering.😊 What happened to your previous capybaras?
Caplin died at 3.5 years from liver failure, possibly congenital or due to a problem with anesthesia during neutering, or both. I got Gari as an 11-month-old. He had scurvy due to poor nutrition before I got him. Eventually this led to his death at 4 years old. My charity, the ROUS Foundation, was started after Caplin's death to try to understand the neds of captive capybaras.
I feel sorry for them. I hope I understood well all you told me (because you know I'm not a native speaker) and this is a very nice foundation.😊
@@caplincapybarail give you a better idea, maybe instead of your charity, stop killing exotic animals by keeping them where they shouldn't be kept??
