0:30 This is like that part in Earthbound where you fight a Miniboss Squad of giant moles, one by one, and each mole identifies themselves as the 3rd strongest of the team.
It didn't appear during this video, but the game does have a track by Hideki Naganuma, composer for Jet Set Radio/Future, Sonic Rush and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Title is Ain't Nothin Like a Funky Beat if you want to look it up.
once I was playing this in a basement with some friends and another person came down and asked "What are you playing?" and my friend just yelled "HIT THE BALL"
The original Lethal League was great too, and they really amped the spectacle up with the sequel. And you're right with the Jet Set Radio vibes, this is the same devs who made Bomb Rush Cyberfunk after all.
The score at the end of the most lethal session of Battle of the Dans 2024! Dan "Beta" Floyd - 3 Dan "B" Jones - 6 Dan "2" Emmons - 3 Jones - 1 Dans - 1 Remember, these scores are just for fun, and mean nothing at all!
Lethal League Blaze. Fantastic, approachable. And a Fighting Game depth. Positioning. Zoning. Mix-ups. It totally deserves its EVO spot, even as a side title.
Ordinary Dans! Ah leathal leage my beloved, made by team reptile (the same devs as Bomb Rush Cyberfunk) and their second love letter to JSR (the first was Leathal League 1). Iirc, this and BRC share a setting, with characters from this game bing DLC for the PC version of BRC. As always the OST and designs slap, Candyman being my favourite because his stage theme (Ordinary Days by Klaus Veen) is my second favourite song, right behind Hedeki Naganuma's Ain't nothing like a funky beat.
Jones: 2 Floyd: 2 (Scoring note: There wasn't an "all the beans" match this episode, so a point was awarded to the Dans with the most total wins during the episode. Jones and Floyd both had 2 wins, Emmons had 1, so Emmons sadly didn't get a point overall.) 9:30 Holy shit, Jones. That was perfect. 18:54 Is that 3040 the speed value, the damage, or both? Because 3040 is a big number.
OK, the gameplay is totally different, but the aesthetics of this are totally giving me a Battle Beast vibe. The fighting game. Not Battle Beasts, the toys. Those were cool, too, though. I was jealous of my friend, who had the lion. I only had the tortoise and the giraffe. I guess those were both cool, actually, but the lion had a unique element type. And he featured prominently in the comics. Were the comics actual comics? Or just a little mini-comic that came with the toys? Like with Rock Lords. I don't remember. Rock Lords were cool, too, though...
In all seriousness, this actually reminds me of why the original Smash Bros. is my favorite. The harder you hit the ball, the longer the action pauses to emphasize how hard you hit it. Gives a nice contrast to the speed, and a moment of anticipation before your opponent gets Rorschach'd.
Do you know what my favorite part about these Dan versus videos is? It's the fact that Dan wins.
It gets a little repetitive tbh
Its gotten kind of stale after a while that Dan *ALWAYS* wins though
I swear, it feels like those battles are scripted. Think about it, how is it possible that Dan always wins, huh?
She's absolutely killing it.
Thing is: it also means Dan will lose
Dan Floyd turning every game into Lil Gator Game since 2022.
Not So Lil Gator Game
I always love how this game goes full anime when you get the ball up to high velocity, the background changes colors like it's in negative!
Like, Even the "Smash Ball" Super gave only 500 speed. THAT WENT UP TO 3040!!!. HWAT~!

In my heart you are Dan 1, Dan A and Dan 𝛼. I'm not saying who is who. 😁
I feel like Dan' (Dan Prime) is a traditional Dan denotation.
Legit got goosebumps when the rain started on the last level as it ramped up even further lol
once I was playing this in a basement with some friends and another person came down and asked "What are you playing?" and my friend just yelled "HIT THE BALL"
Dan could have won, but Dan's crazy comeback kept him from winning, but that played straight into Dan's gameplan
Latch is the cyberpunk future version of the little gator from Li'l Gator Game.
I can only cheer minimally because I just got back from a camping trip and I am INCREDIBLY sore and groggy but: * yay, go dan *
HELL yeah
we do NOT have enough blaze content out here
props to the editor putting little heads on the characters in the results screen.

The score at the end of the most lethal session of Battle of the Dans 2024!
Dan "Beta" Floyd - 3
Dan "B" Jones - 6
Dan "2" Emmons - 3
Jones - 1
Dans - 1
Remember, these scores are just for fun, and mean nothing at all!
If you count Lethal League as a single game, it's Jones 2/Dans 1/Other Dans repeating the Wait Wait Don't Tell Me tagline
I love that this is where the Dan 2, Dan B, and Dan beta came from. Something about it is just...perfect.
Always love me some Lethal League. Congrats to Dan for winning!
Absolutely lovely time. Thank you all!
Lethal League is the most Rhythm Based "Fighter" I have ever known
One of my favourite fighting games. Love it.

Dan “A1 Steak Sauce” Floyd.
What a great time, ¡thanks for playing it!
It must be a morning from Dans! I was just watching y’all play Helldivers II😄

Would love an animation analysis video on this, this looks very cool :) Maybe some exist already, I should go look.
Love the characters! So many GG vibes! Go Dan!
This is such a crazy fast paced game, but made even more so by the fact that I always watch RUclips at 1.5 speed.
Jones: 2
Floyd: 2

I would love this game being talked about the animations because it is top tier
Nevermind this game is from 2018
Dan B going for the busty blonde, to no-one's surprise.
You need a submarine crew distinction. Dan 1, Dan A, and Dan Gold, or something.
When do you plan on playing shadow of the erdtree
Love a good Saturday dose of sheDanigans
I want to see a TAS of this in the same vein as the Fox vs Falco SSB:M TAS
But who is Dan 1/a/alpha?
Dan wins yet again!
This game is just parry simulator and I need to play it now

tragedy, my 2 favorite characters didn't win a single game
Beta shmeta, you 3 are Dan D, Dan A, and, of course, Dan Wins
