    Equipoise Essence is for sure my issue. I tend to run away from my emotions which results in me ignoring my now seperated wife(Since Jan).
    Instead of facing the emotions and being vulnerable with her, I back away and now she feels unheard and unloved.
    I was never taught emotional intelligence nor had a father or mother figure to tell me how to handle emotions.

    Good information, I can definitely see a path of my failures and predictable outcomes as a result. We've been apart for 10 months now and she's got something new going but we'll see what happens in the future. I'm just concentrating on growing as an individual right now. Used to be a fantastic marriage. I made all the classic mistakes you mention and didn't know it at the time. I don't believe that the new thing is going to be permanent. Just a feeling. Also your background music is just a little too loud for headphones? Thanks for the information!!

    I messed up by taking time off work to raise my daughter, my wife had just got a great opportunity in a new career so my wife and i agreed that I'd take time off to take care of my daughter. She lost all respect for me when i stopped being the breadwinner but she'd fight me when i talked about going back to work. She left on June 18 just a couple of weeks after i told her she'd need to spend less time at work when i started working again.

      @@markb-wd5zh Most men wouldn't think it was but I should've just put her in daycare and kept my job. Yesterday would've been our 18th anniversary, I sent her flowers and a couple other things but I'm pretty sure that was a mistake.

    I feel the insane desperation inside to learn from you guys. So much wisdom and knowledge. No one taught me “French”. I could never understand when my wife was crying out to me. May have well been screaming at me in French. It’s time to go to language school!

    Of all the videos I have watched over the last few weeks, this was the best. It truly struck me and spoke to me. I am taking notes of it and placing my thoughts to it. I am truly grateful that I found this one. I have more confidence. Thank you, Josh.

    THST is DEFINITELY NOT my wife at the beginning of this video! My wife is VERY strong-willed and HATES when I tell her what we're going to do. She views that as me being BOSSY, CONTROLLING and TOO DOMINANT. She DOES NOT like being told what to do. 😡

    • @jasonsherwood7539
      @jasonsherwood7539 7 месяцев назад +5

      Nah, she still wants you to lead. Just know that she always has a choice whether to follow or not. You can't ever force her, but you are the leader.

    • @mrjlee4294
      @mrjlee4294 7 месяцев назад +1

      Who are you? Are naturally dominant? If not, then yes, it feels, (feels) weird. But who are you really? People can change who they are then she will feel (feel) that you are a leader.

      You have to understand your wife. My wife hates surprises and is not interested in being overly social. So adjust accordingly. Lead with what brings her pleasure

    My separated wife told me today we eventually have to talk about divorce eventually and says this is just how she feels right now and that’s what she’s deciding her life over. Then as I’m walking away she says but my feelings can change I don’t know.
    Is she trying to let me down softly or is this another test?

    • @jasonsherwood7539
      @jasonsherwood7539 7 месяцев назад +13

      It's a test. One of the tests is to see just how much you will tolerate.
      She needs space to decide whether she wants to climb aboard your train again. You need to take care of yourself, make your train more appealing, but do it FOR YOU not for her. That was what I learned when my wife pulled this s*. I was DONE sacrificing for her. She didn't appreciate it, even resented it, found it as a sign of weakness rather than affection.
      Your wife may/may not climb aboard with you again. What if she doesn't? Go enjoy your life. Give her the finger. She's chosen confusion over happiness. That's her choice. Let her enjoy her misery.
      HOWEVER, once she senses this independence in you, more than likely it WILL strike a cord in her. She will be drawn to this new you (which is really just the REAL you). It will also make you a much happier person, which is more important, imo.
      Remember, she wants to join YOUR train. You're not supposed to be climbing aboard hers.
      My $0.02.... wish you well

      @@jasonsherwood7539 I have been working on myself and largely stepped away. I’ve also enrolled in this course and she told me today she’s not angry at me and doesn’t have resentment. She then hit me with the she still wants to go to counseling and coparent and be friends.
      We been romantic with each other for 10 years up until January 27th. Truthfully I’m getting really tired of this and she keeps flirting around with divorce but I’m trying to think in my head what is stopping her?
      Why is she bothering to tell me her feelings can change? Is she trying to string me along for attention especially since I really stepped away?

    • @ryanr6607

      @@jasonsherwood7539 did your wife file for divorce at that time and you two were able to work it out? Mine kicked me out, filed for divorce. Said she loved me but wasn’t in love with me anymore and that we were meant for other people. I tried pretty much everything, did marriage counseling alone for 3 months, read a bunch of books, working out almost everyday since the beginning ( 6 months ago), stopped seeing the marriage counselor and decided to see my own therapist to help me get through this. I tried for five months and decided I’ve said and done everything a man can do so I stopped trying to hang out or make contact a month ago. She hasn’t tried contacting me either. She was supposed to put the house up for sale and separate our vehicle insurances but haven’t heard anything. (basically the last two things left to do). Our anniversary is coming up in two weeks. Feel like I’m just going to stay in no contact and keep working on myself at this point.

    And if i must be the provider/breadwinner thats pretty impossible. My wife makes 10x what di. And this makes her tell me we dont have a Biblical marriage because she is more the financial provider. How can i deal with this?
    It sounds like Josh can help rich men WAY EASIER than men whose wives make way more money.

      Be her masculine protector and win her that way. Do be timid, be her support when she argues with others and don't be afraid to pick her up over your shoulder and bring her to the room.

      That's my situation, my wife makes more then me, not by much but still more. I still manage all the household expenses and a take charge where need be. Support her but don't ever let income dictate a relationship. Remember you guys are in it together, that includes a joined income.

    @MarriageMastery Asking for a friend. He is marrying a webcam model from another country they been get to know each other (dating) for 6 months on that site. NOTE: He never asked for explicit shows but uses privates for conversation. He is flying over there and asking me to be best man and tag along on this marriage. Curious from my nuiance notes. Will this relationship work ? Basically a foreigner marrying a local and bring her back to his country type deal. I just want to know the these situations happend and if they pan out. He is grown adult and its his life. I am asking for knowledge and curiosity.
