I have said this before I'm no artist, but I love the technical aspects of Procreate, so thanks for explaining the different aspects of this app. Have a nice day Hector

Hi Kevin! I’m glad you enjoyed this video… I get so many emails about the duplicate names from the new Procreate users, that I started to wonder… “why did they do this”😆‼️ Anyway thanks for watching and see you on the next one 👋

I normally love your content, and am sure I will after this one but I personally feel like this one was a little misguided for a video that could have provided good content...
For 1 & 2, yes the names are the same but they provide different functionality - instead of focusing purely on the name it would have been better to say "hey, yep they've got the same name but they do in fact do different things and this is what they do" rather than make it sound like Procreate did something weird. As a Procreate user the names have never been confusing to me because the names make sense for the functions that they serve.
For #3 you didn't need to write anything down - if you'd started drawing with the pencil and changed the values there you'd see it change - as you then pointed out later in the tip. This makes it really confusing for anyone not familiar with the tools. I can't replicate the bug you found with the labels not going away but that is an annoying bug for those that have it.
Looking forward to the next one :)

This isn’t my first vid of yours, and I’ve seen some awesome stuff from you, but I can’t help but I feel this is a little misleading for people who don’t understand what those different elements do, and so will take at face value that they’re named the same thing to mean they do the same thing…
    Reference:
    - via the actions menu - the default option allows you to see how your whole canvas looks, even when you’re zoomed in and working on finer details, to work from a reference photo without having it in your canvas itself (import being the second option at the bottom of the reference pop-up), or project the image on your canvas onto your own face with the third option at the bottom of the pop up.
    - in layers - means that your other layers will respect the lines or art you’ve drawn on the reference layer, allowing you to colour-drop in context of your line art without having other settings change your outlines if you want to adjust HSB or other settings only on the colour fill.
    Copy:
    - in layers - copies just the layer
    - quick menu - does the same but not everyone uses this menu, and it’s really a shortcut to common tools found elsewhere for those who do use it
    - actions menu - I think it’s here because of copy canvas, which will copy the whole canvas, as it appears, as a flat layer.
I admit, I don’t think having “copy” here is the greatest idea and can be confusing for people wanting to copy the whole canvas and accidentally copying a layer, and you need to go to layers to check which layer is active, anyway, but if they didn’t have it here with the whole canvas copy, some people would probably complain about that, too.
    Invert:
Makes a lot of sense to me… inverting a setting changes the area it highlights (select) and inverting a layer changes the colour to the opposite.
    Pencil vs Layer adjustments:
I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying here, but I feel the layer vs pencil option is pretty intuitive… one changes the entire layer and the other makes changes according to the pencil. To think that the sliders would change it while in pencil without drawing on the canvas seems like an odd leap.
This confusion would perhaps be better explored in bloom, where you have to slide your pencil across the screen AND change the settings in the layer mode.
