      @ManQ25 so we must just accept a single clean street in the whole cbd and inner city, how about all the streets behind the High Court up to MTN rank and JAG?? Should we ignore the inner city suburbs of Hillbrow, Yeoville, Joubert Park as we don't care because it's foreigners and they do their own thing? Are we going to accept mediocrity? We are being embarrassed by other African cities like Kigali, Rabat, Tangier and Casablanca, we should be competing with the major cities in the world not with Lagos or Harare....

    Patriotic South Africans wouldn't brake any laws of the republic including by-laws such as jaywalking 😂😂😂 and yes jaywalking is against city's bylaws and yet you are walking on the streets promoting the city, the city will never return to its former glory without patriotism, civic pride and rule of law. The current unpatriotic city council is also to blame for the mess in the city. Non working robots some that just lies on the broken filthy pavements, non working street lights, no by-law enforcement. The city of gold is far beyond repair...

    • @Walk_Africa
      @Walk_Africa 18 дней назад +1

      Many cities are going through that faze around the world. Rather build new cities my opinion though.
      The world is evolving.
      And about jaywalking - I don't think that's an issue, that wouldn't hinder the betterment of the city. If let's say everything is in order like street lights, clear pavements and working robots then laws could easily be followed by pedestrians.
      If that area could be improved I see no reason why the city can't go way back to it's former GLORY. If the government is willing, I believe it's easy to turn this around and make laws work.

    • @MasterPDA1982
      @MasterPDA1982 18 дней назад

      @Walk_Africa I understand from your point of view but I believe even if the above were in order it won't change people's antisocial behavior because they have been doing it for many years and see it as "normal". Regarding your suggestion of building new cities, it's not gonna solve any challenges if the very same unpatriotic people and government are around...

      These are places where you will get to know the so called bad people, they are not bad but good! People in these areas are extremely friendly and will always share love and smile, this is something that racists don't want you to know. Crime is everywhere, in good and bad areas of cities around the world. One example is Oxford Street in London, this is the most prestigious shopping street of London and yet there are so many criminals on this street, stealing, stabbing people with knives and so on. Please come and visit you will never regret. Like in London or New York, try not to be alone, walk with someone.

I keep on hearing/reading stories about the anti-immigrant sentiment in SA and while i can sympathize with the situation, i;d hate to be be the one paying the price. Hopefully, i'll get over my fears and eventually fly down for a visit.
