Big respect to Andy at Star fisheries, has some amazing quality stock, customer service has always been on point also!
Beautiful 😍😍
Chris, Next time you are there could you show us the Tosakin and Veiltail please? I want to see them close up so I can chose a couple.
Wish the SF site photographed the fish individually, as I like to know what I’m buying.
Gratefully
No problem at all! Will try and cover an episode on them. Thanks for watching 😄
hi chris next time you go to star fisheries please can you show us there cow ranchus
keep up the good work it means a lot PAUL
Sure thing! Will depend if they have any in stock 😁
Nice 👍
Nice additions mate not sure that dorsal will heal but you hardly notice it maybe something with a lot of white next to balance out your darker fish.
Yeah agree, very doubtful it would heal without intervention from a vet, etc. But as you say, hardly notice it. Agreed, a white oranda would really stand out or maybe some white/light colour based calico. Thanks for watching 😁
Hi Chris, trying to cycle new tank,do I have to add ammonia,I’ve put in revaloution bio balls is this enough, thanks for all the cracking videos
Thanks for watching, if you are doing a fishless cycle, you will need to add an ammonia source. Depending on tank size, you could do a fish in cycle and keep an eye on parameters.
Great choice of fish matey, my favourite has to be the orange oranda, really stands out against the darker background 👍
Definitely! I absolutely love it. I think another one will be added in the near future!
@@AquaticElements I'm thinking of adding a tri coloured oranda, but there isn't one that I've found that's suitable for my tank as yet, so still in search
Can i ask what kind of filtration are you using on that tank? How big is the tank & how often do you do water change?
This video should answer all your questions ruclips.net/video/03UIY6gf7cQ/видео.html
Is a 90 gallon tank okay, for 6 x 6 inch orandas? 🏴✌️
Yes, that should be ample for them 😁
what did or would these fish cost the public.
Are these a different type of oranda they look completely different to the like of my red caps etc there body’s seem shorter
They are normal oranda, just different bloodlines and strains 😃
Really enjoy the Star Fisheries content. Where did you get that huge tank from?
Thank you! The tank was built and delivered by ND aquatics
Hey man, love your videos, do you know where can i find fancy goldfish (good quality, ranchus thai orandas, Yuan Bao and overall fish with wen) that ship to poland or/and germany
Thank you! That's a tricky one, have you tried contacting the fancy goldfish store in the Netherlands? Thanks 😊
@@AquaticElements No i haven`t, what is their name? Could they ship atleast to germany?
@@AquaticElements I have tried contacting Star Fishieries (shotout, they have a very nice, fast kind and helping support) they said that the shipping for today would be about 635pounds. Thats more than my budget (dont worry, in poland everything is cheaper, 300l (80gal) tank costs about 100pounds or 120 euro
The one in the Netherlands is called The fancy goldfish store, yes unfortunately shipping from the UK is expensive due to the paperwork needed and licencing
@@AquaticElements thanks, i found them now. Im writing an email to them asking the same question. you defo getting a sub
Nice fish, thanks for sharing. I may have missed it, but how big is that aquarium of yours? It looks like it's a very good size.
Thank you, its 1600 litres 😁
@@AquaticElements blimey- that's a dream tank! What are the dimensions?
Yeah! It's 8ft by 3ft wide and 2.5ft tall
@@AquaticElements that's amazing. One day I hope to own and have the space for a tank like that- enjoy! 🐟🐟
Love a video breakdown of this tank ie filters, lights and maintenance?
Lovely chunkies but why no plants?
There's a big water lily in the middle of the tank
@@AquaticElements more plants i mean x
I see! I wanted to have plants to keep the tank more natural and allow the goldfish to have somewhere to spawn. However, I also wanted the ability to keep the tank very clean and maintain good water quality and clarity. I found a central plant that has space to grow over the whole tank would be the best option for both me as a hobbyist and also the fish. Thanks for watching
