Let me know the key if you find it. Or give me two traces. :)

How are the other pages (excluding pw) generated? From the S/N?

      The hitag2 datasheet explains it.
The user memory part is set by the system in question. So for a car key fob, The car manufacturer would set them.

We can go to a wreckyard and get some hardware from a car that is supported in this POS software (I am in GbG and we met before). Personally, I would not bother other than for the video content to be honest. The software you have will have manufacturer passwords/keys in it as well as some simple extraction from ROM dumps of the manufacturers car computers to get the relevant unique-to-the-car data to generate content for the hitag to write to it. To make this more useful, you could try and extract the relevant data, remove the date and hardware-serial-number check and such so chinese manufacturers don't get to make money off people anymore for stolen software that is 14 years old.

The serial / date check is annoying as hell. The special usage of FDTI device in order to mask the communications is also annoying since it most likely has a fake chip which means it must use older drivers to work.
The lack of any kind of documentation of the software file format or what file those advanced functions wants, is all annoying things.
When you buy it, you are buying a very expensive low frequency hitag2 reader/writer. As is it is a total rip-off!
I hope the video inspires people to maybe improve or liberate it. Whow knows?
