One point that is not discussed here is about prostituition. I do not understand why rapists cannot go to a prostitute instead of abusing girls. If they lack money, they could steal it and go to a prostitute. But I realize now, that the criminality here is not just about the sexual desire; its about power and lack of respect. They derive a sense of control/power knowing that the girl is defenseless.Even with the severe punishments for rape, it's baffling why, in those moments, they lose their moral compass and can't consider the consequences. The root causes of this confidence and the sense of power over women must be addressed to curb this criminal mindset.

When an actor who is followed by thousands openly gives a statement saying "IF YOU SEE A GIRL EITHER YOU HAVE TO KISS HER OR RAPE HER" and nobody condemns or boycots him or presents news against him. When you dont act during such situations you dont have right to cry or complain when a rape happens. And there are many elements like this not just one actor. You have to stop it at the root cause rather than crying at when it happens.

It is not about a movie star who speak nonsense. It is about our own grow up. No one taught us how to behave with a women. We have freedom to do everything. All our movies, tv series show women as a play item or as an enemy to another. We don't have that much openness to talk or watch about A rated items. People watch illegally and try to fulfill their fantasies on kids or other women who cannot speak openly. Even if they speak, their parents or adults in their family will try to hide the things as their family image may spoil in the society.
As long as voters are not electing good leaders being a honest voter, these all things will lie in our country

Anchor Swapna always showed enthusiasm about punishment like cutting hands of criminals , beheading in the public etc.
But i think in India which has many corrupt officials I'm sure many innocents or scapegoats face those brutual punishments instead of real culprits. Many other officials will also become corrupt & demand huge favours like money etc to help the real culprits as the punishment are severe.
We need to have quick action from the courts and rapid support from the police system to provide the investigation conclusions quickly to the court. This should be done by separate judges under the supervision of Supreme Court CJ or PM or President level.

Maybe that's one of the reasons why in the past there were child marriages. But this has it's own issues. Maybe there are ways to identify those who mature sexually faster than others and active (through the medical check up as they do in the schools)but don't have a way for an outlet, and provide a solution/ nature. If we could identify this, maybe it could help. Open societies like Sweden may not be a solution for a country like India or even others. Even red light areas aren't a solution because there are other surrounding issues of health, cheating and societal norms.

She(interviewer) wants to scare every men don't chase women. those who are afraid of punishment and guilt won't do these heinous crimes. Rapist are serial offenders they don't believe in limit and fear. So they might runaway on the first time crimes but they will not when it become addiction. Pleasure over powers fear and empathy.

The thing which is missing here is the background specific to kolkata case, i.e., this is a cold blooded planned murder diverting in the name of rape. The true thing that should be analysed here is to find out those facts which the medical intern wanted to disclose which will bring out the actual people behind this and justice can be given.
