Thank you for sharing. I got the opportunity to see a rocket launch in 2018. Amazing experience. I shared a pretty fun montage of the trip to my channel.
@@Starman1959 ah okay, My assumption was that you'd still need to polar align to use any go to functions on the EQ mount. It would be good to know if this is true or not as I'm considering getting this telescope or an 8SE and may not always need the EQ
@@ThistleBeaksBirdCams I will try again on a clear night, I noticed that StarSense needs stars to work so if the sky is patchy then its hard to align reading the manual I think you can change the start position, but to be honest its easier to use the two or three star alignment if you have a limited sky view, I will keep you posted!
Yes I have 3 ZWO cams now, two are for my school, I have images of the planets but yet to get deep space with the C8, hoping to get out more in the coming weeks! Did you buy one yet?
@@Starman1959 for the ota??? No way... a quick search says 5.67 Kg The C8 is very compact and light weight for an 8” telescope. In fact at just 17” long and weighing 5.6 Kg it is carry-on portable, but those diminutive specs make for easy mounting too.
Great telescope!
Nice intro, and looks very clean!
Thanks Roger, it just needs to see more sky!

So u can use this telescopes go to functions without polar aligning??
You can point the telescope north then use StarSense to align the telescope, but to be honest I have not had clears skies to get this to work yet!

Do you have any further updates ? Is the StarSense useful in hazy skies?
Did you ever setup camera? No more videos. Looking at buying, still like it or maybe want to sell?
