You can't look at a skater who only shined 4-5 years when trying to compare to someone like tony. He might not have my favorite style, but the dude has been progressing himself and skating for 30+ years easy. Not to mention he's done so much to show skateboarding in a positive light and bring it to people who may or may not have seen it other wise. I guarantee if you ask anyone whose been skating for 10+ years what inspired them to pick up a skateboard, they'll most likely say a tony hawk video game.
I say - let's see Tony take a 2015 X-Games medal or whatever the gold standard in vert is and call it a day either way. Also - Danny Way. Let's not forget his work, very forward thinking.

Totally surprised. Some of the "innovative tricks" were a bit silly but the shoe sliders and spins in and out of handplants were too gnarly. Really impressed Tony, I thought we would never see good Hawk footage again (for obvious reason! OG)
All these tricks are amazing. Anyone who has even skated a mini ramp knows how hard it would be to do some of these lip tricks on a 5 foot ramp let alone a huge vert ramp like this. Dig the foot slide fucking cool. Some people like to say tony doesn't have a good style but I don't agree. Not many people can tweak airs like him and the frontside hurricane grinds are insane.
