Great review. I love this car; itd be my daily driver if I had to have one car only. Any chance of sharing your 600 and 700pp tunes? I'm keen on trying this for the Le Mans grind 😊😊😊
I used to work on these, the only problem with them was as in typical Jaguar fashion they had terrible coolant leaks. Regularly, and the injectors would get seized up so bad you need a slide hammer to pull them out.
I happen to have a 2021 as my daily driver. From stock it no longer has the crackle tune as the earlier model did. It is however still stunning to look at and a joy to drive. If I could lease one to hoon it round a track I would and definitely not doing that with mine
You've just looked at the Jaguar in GT7 from a nostalgia perspective, with an interesting point of view and one that I believe seems to have been lost over the series. The GT series are always promoted as "The Real Driving Simulator" (not just a racing game), so you are able to compare how it is to real life and how well GT7 simulates 'real driving'. Throughout the early GT series I feel there were always way more diverse lower tier cars able to be purchased from the dealers (or the sports model of the lower tier cars anyhow), which has allowed this comparison to reach a wider audience. Obviously you can't drive/race like a maniac on public roads with your basic A-B car without consequences (plus who would ever put a massive turbo in their 3 cyl 1.3L car), so simulation can provide this escape. In GT7 there seems to be a lack of affordable lower tier cars to assist escape reality and draw the comparisons you've just done, hence there really is limited connection to the cars for many players. Thanks for the video and sharing your experience, glad you had fun with the Jaguar and jealous you've experienced it first hand :)
@jk330d not something I've been approached about mate Totally time dependent for me also sadly, if I'm approached who knows if it falls right for me it may be something I'd take part in
What's the point in modifying cars in this game when most races require you to neuter the performance to be eligible? A lot of times cars are actually slower if you max them out with performance parts and then reduce power to get them back to the PP they need to be. The 787B is such a car. It was actually slower for me after putting the turbo on and then lowering it's performance back to 800 for Sardegna. It also used more fuel due to the turbo. Total waste of time and money! lol
@AwesomeFinish trust me since giving less of a damn about cash or grinding events the games opened up massively I'd rather spend my time making custom races than worrying about repeating the same few events until PD decide to give us more ways to make bank
@@naffantait Collecting cars in this game is what I enjoy doing so earning credits to do it, for now, is what I need to do. Once I have all the cars collected then I'll discover all the ways to enjoy them.
Turbo lag is a thing to consider and I don't think the 787B motor has Anti-lag available. You should also look at what those performance parts actually do. Power doesn't win everything and there's little point to power if it's locked behind something to the point you can't use it effectively or put it down effectively.
You should make a Group 5 inspired tune with this. 800hp with a lot of downforce and grip. That's what I did with my 900hp R33 GTR. It is literally a Group 5 car, with the boost cranked to the max.
Once again you have done a great video car review, well done, as an English man though please put on a some Jag racing gear and leave the Honda suit at home, haha, cheers regards Graeme 👍.
Coincidentally, and somewhat ironically, this car is also a massive sleeper in Forza Motorsport, and Forza Horizon 4/5. It tunes very well for top of A class, bordering on the edge of meta tune. But no one ever uses it. Blows my mind.
I do love the looks and the sound of the grunty F Type, it's a shame PD murdered the GT3 version of late and FR cars in GT7 seem generally more sketchy these days with current physics
I understand your passion for this car, but if i would compare it to my favourite the audi rs5 it's kinda a joke my brother, specially the corners and fuel consumption is frankly said terrible sadly... in 800 race lemans it has a lot of problems... but i appreciate your effort for making this video 👊

When I worked at the jaguar dealer In the late 90s the xkr was pretty good for the time.
One of the quickest 700PP out there. And easy to drive. The Alfa 4C with the V8 Ferrari swapped in it is faster but a bit more tricky to handle.
I'm still trying to unlock engine swaps :(

Don't beat around the bush, did you like it? Ha! I love the F-type, in my opinion it's the best looking car of this century.
got taken for quite a ride in a lightly modified version of one of these and it was incredible, very intimidating but capable machine

Cool car but its not a crackle tune, its a defect

There's a few cars within GT7 I have first hand experiance with driving in the real world or on a track over the years & sure is great to compare them

Because it's a lot more fun to build cars & do your own events for them over those terrible PD made events

Light blue also looks insanely good

Thanks for the review.. Im at the credit limit and i need to buy another car i guess.
How did you get that body kit? Even after i purchased the wide body modification I didnt get those fenders. Any info is appreciated!
LWB livery over existing kits
Weird as this sounds but I've won most races with the nissan GT-R tuned up, obviously
I'm just waiting on the release of new cars I'm eager lol
How did you get that body kit? I don’t see the option.
It's a lively added on the existing kits
