So as you can see….Fake Peppino is cool.

You CAN actually parry SOME of Fake Peppino's attacks, but you can't parry the clones at all. (Exception is the section where there's one gap in all of them on the screen.)
After you hit Fake Peppino twice, a bunch of clones will start jumping. Get in the middle ASAP, and stay there. If you were fast enough, you won't get hurt.

Turns out, the escape was harder on release, and was nerfed 3 times practically in a row. The old version involved a lot of crouch spaces, and the only reason you wouldn't get hit was because Fakie's movement speed was on par with the crouch speed. Now it's at the point where you can just completely outrun him. Also might I ask, what do you use to create your screen shake? Do you create it on your own with keyframes, or do you download like a screen shake pack or something?
