For those still unclear on how the antenna stuff works, this is the same as normal Gemini stuff (www.expresslrs.org/software/gemini/). Both antennas on the radio can transmit EITHER 2.4Ghz or 900Mhz. Irrespective of the frequency used, you can have JUST ONE antenna working at once (to conserve power), OR you can have BOTH using the same frequency for diversity (use a GEMINI diversity receiver to receive both signals simultaneously). You can ALSO use this radio with GEMINI-X receivers, there both antennas are used at the same time with one running 2.4Ghz and the other using 900Mhz. This is all configured in the LUA script.
I started FPV at the end of 2019, and your videos were some of the first I saw. Hearing that Christmas jingle at the beginning always grabs my attention.
I'm not sure the first question was answered clearly. When in Gemini mode both antennas are transmitting AND receiving on all modes. So yes both antennas will transmit when on a 2.4 mode and in Gemini. Both antennas will transmit when on 900 and in Gemini. When using a GemX mode Ant 1 transmits 900 and Ant2 transmits 2.4. The other antenna modes Ant1/Ant2/Switch are all single antenna modes.
I'm going to wait for a while to see if they will bring out a max version. It would be nice if you could replace the 2 front momentary buttons with either a 2 or 3 position switch. I will purchase one in a few months, just waiting for the updates or even if they will make one in red.
Hi Lee, thanks so much for the video! I am fairly new to he world of Inav, express lrs, and radio master, but have several years of making my own plane designs with CAD, foam and a CNC machine with spectrum radios. I recently moved up in complexity and did an Inav FPV analog build which was ton of fun, but the radio was borrowed, so I just purchased as Zorro because it seemed fairly capable and easy to transport. It arrived yesterday, but then this new radio came out with a similar price point! Do you think given my situation its a good idea to return the Zorro and purchase GX12? Thanks!
Radios are very personal things. If the Zorro has enough switches for you, and you don't care about Gem-X and the 900mHz stuff, it's a great radio... Happy flying
Thanks for the update. Im a pincher and when I hold my boxer, the base of my palms are at the bottom of the boxer body. Just wondering what you think about the smaller size for pinchers?
The answer about the antennas has me completely confused. You say it will run both 2.4 and 900 in Gemini mode (which sounds like it will use both frequencies at the same time?), but at the end you say it will "not run both 2.4 for that kind of diversity", which I have no idea what it refers to.
If I am using 915 only can it not work with both antennas? I thought that one antenna could transmit and receive on a slightly different frequency than the other one.
Tx16s , still much better than this imo , This to me looks cheap , tacky Most the switches will be under the lanyard, not a fan of this one But thanks sir appreciate

Thanks for watching! I like to change the intro to suit the time of year. Best wishes for the festive season!
Hi Lee, Great video and info on the RadioMaster GX-12 , I think this will be a great radio for fixed-wing and airplanes. Thanks again for the Q&A

Thanks a bunch for all the info, Lee! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks Lee...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

any word on a gx16 coming?
Comento por el Llave Rosa… alguna ventaja para oyentes de Truco Gallo?!

Does this support the BLE Joystick feature?
Yes. Happy flying!

It actually feels great with decent buuld quality and plastics. Happy flying and thanks for the comment!
