- Hello everyone, as per usual at the end of these year we will have a lot of LEGO sets retiring. In this video I go through all of the LEGO Star Wars sets retiring at the end of 2024. This list has seen some new updates which prompted me to update my old video with this one. Hopefully this can help you all to make sure you get all the sets you want before they are gone for good.

Can you do a segment on sets that are exclusive to certain stores like Costco or WalMart?
“Yoda’s ship only comes with LAME R2 AND YODA?? Nahh we should’ve gotten darth bane for the yoda spaceship!!” Because that makes total sense.
It does make sense. The arc that we see Yoda with R2 and the ship includes Bane. We should definitely have gotten it because it would have been accurate.
In the clone wars show Yoda goes to the sith home world and interacts with Darth Bane. That's the only time we see his ship so it does make sense.
@@asambuilds it’d make more sense for darth bane to be included in a much more grand set, like a sith temple on moraband set. Most scenes we see of yodas ship, r2 is with him. It makes sense. These are great characters to grab especially for little ones entering the hobby. Calling them lame is insane.
Well R2 and Yoda are just characters we see all the time so that's what I mean by lame. Also I don't think a sith temple is a set LEGO would make anytime soon especially considering we haven't even got a Jedi temple yet. So this would probably have been our best chance to see Bane.
@@asambuilds we never see yodas ship and darth bane in the same scene, so this is really just a reach. I see where you’re coming from, but really it makes no sense for darth bane to be in yodas spaceship. This just seems like a set that’s not for you if you already have these characters.
The Mechs are wonderful and I am so glad I got them.
They've grown on me over time but still just aren't for me. I get why others might like them though.
Maybe for little kids but for teens and adults nah

I do think they are a more interesting way of getting core characters instead of a micro fighter. Still feel weird

The $240 retiring R2-D2 is so bad when compared to the $100 one that is on shelves right now.
- It only comes with a boring astromech droid (that comes in five other sets!) The cheaper set comes with a fantastic (and exclusive!) Darth Malak minifig that sells for over $40 alone.
- 3.5 years bof shelf life before retirement was way too long, no rarity
- 10% higher cost per piece than the smaller set
- Only about 35% taller despite being 2.4x the price (granted, it is ~ 2.4x the volume).
Great list! although I would rate the Yavin set near the bottom tbh. Its already on clearance in stores, might even end up 60% off at some point. Mediocre design and very overpriced.
I wish I could find one at 60% off. I've been waiting to buy one for forever.
