@@adajudeliterally. I usually don’t care much about game developers but royale high’s are just complete idiots. We haven’t gotten a New Years update in 2 years now. This time because the devs “needed a break”. They had time to redecorate all of the new school lobby but not push out the same update they do every New Years? How does that make sense. They’re lazy and stupid and I don’t even feel bad about saying it. They haven’t even added a new Wave (for the school) in like 2 months. They’re very unprofessional.

Thank you for speaking up about this. Royale High is one of the top games in the Roblox platform and pretty much preaches about inclusivity more than any other top Roblox game, yet they’re limiting the so call inclusive aspect of it with this new “masculine” body type. I agree with you, the new masc body is pretty much the feminine body but with a smaller chest. Female anatomy is clearly represented in Royale High but now male anatomy I guess does not exist..? I enjoy playing Royale High so much but this new update for majority of guy players is purely annoying and disappointing.

I had this issue with Royale High for years and its actually fucking sad to see them removing a genders body type completely and as a girl that is writing this, I am disappointed. When I was younger, I always wonder if they would ever make more boy accessories or even more categories for male audience. But after years and years nothing really happen, I mean there was male parts for sets that's pretty much it. But I was always hoping that they would more male items and hair styles, but nothing was really changing over time. For the new body I really don't care at least there's a new body but what I am upset is that they are getting rid of the old boy body the one I grew up with and it's pissing me off. I really hope that they don't get rid of the old body type and actually keep it.
Fr. I remember there was like a prince thing but it wasn’t a full set. and the old heels didn’t have male toggles so the only ones were the 2 shoes.

They should've thought this through, they should've at least kept the old masculine toggles temporarily until they ACTUALLY update the whole system. And many people are talking about how we're ungrateful for this. but the thing is, the devs could've put in just as much effort in the masculine stuff as the feminine stuff but they REFUSE to. Rh isn't inclusive, it's s*x*st rn. I know that that word is a bit too strong, but I don't care. If they want an inclusive game, they should make it inclusive instead of being one-sided.
2019 Femme player here, I always thought that RH was a fair game until I had gotten older, nowadays I realized how sexist ( even though that’s a bold word to use it’s kinda true) Royal High is when it comes to items. As someone who’s been around the block and has met many male players/ interviewed them a common thing said to me is that there just isn’t enough representation on their end as there is for the femme players. Now im not trying to drag RH, but they keep going on and on about being inclusive & representation but in reality they could give less than two fucks about that. At this rate I’ve even considered having the thought process that they’re using those words to get more player to make more money, and the reason they put detail into sets and then make them more expensive so people will play, get addicted, and keep coming back for more. That’s just my take on what has been happening though.
Like I’m not even a male player but if they cared so much about “representation” they would go to the community before making such a huge decision like that. Like I understand that some men are more feminine or want to be feminine in rh but that doesn’t mean all male players are. it’s honestly so ironic.

Like how do you not make a plus size set, but can make a set having it look skinnier and skinnier each time. And on top of that, take away the male body and make things look even more feminine? Someone said that they’ll fix the new “male” toggles to make them sizable, like the uniform we got in the advent age couple of days ago that resizable. Which is good we can have the male body types on and wear the see size able stuff and not worry about them looking broken. But as a male who played royal since it first came out and then lost my old acc to it and had to start again, making male outfits was the best thing ever even if they had little hairs and sets that worked for the males, which is upsetting. They better make the male toggles look like real males instead of a girl body with no chest on it.

Tbh I really love the old masc toggles because it was easy for me to style and now I can barely style the new masc sides- and I hop back and forth between masc and fem fits a lot

As a male myself, I adore and love Royal high i’ve been playing it for four years no jokes and it has been such a good game but when it start to update and upgrade the game more and more, I’ve been more suspicious about the updates women gets more hairs. Women gets more face, but us as masculine players we only get one hair that looks ugly Plus we also get very ugly faces. We only get a few ugly faces actually…….. plus we barely get set with the other hand royal high is not being fair to both gender equally if you get what I’m saying I agree that it’s a game for only female, but it should be for everyone not only for feminine too there’s also masculine players who wants to play more as well. i love feminine cute stuff as much as the next person, but recently i've been realizing that i might be transmasc, i like masculine things etc. but rhs seems to only be compatible for feminine things, and it's even harder to dress masc when you don't own set items and are broke

I’m not a male player but one thing I noticed in 2023 is that I have seen less male players in royale high. Barbie really has to get her shit together and start to concentrate on things that could actually benefit her game rather than making updates that are kind of unnecessary. In each update there has been new hairstyles for the female community but not one new hairstyle for the male community. The fact that we are getting called toxic by content creators as well as the devs (not all of the devs) because we’re sharing our opinions is disappointing. I know that there are really are some messed up situations where players send death threats etc. to the devs but saying stuff like “This community is so toxic” really doesn’t do anything. We need more communication with the creator of the game, which is barbie not just with developers who can only tell us their predictions.
I feel like if this continues I might have to quit because I like gender bending my oc so this is kinda disrespectful to me and the boys that do play and they will probably lose a lot of players due to this

I think why barbie might be deleting the masc body type is because she think that boys always being more big and muscular compared to females is sexist. However, since everyone has different body types regardless of gender, she could have just turned the masc body type into a bigger body type for both boys and girls instead of just ✨ReMoViNg✨ the body type from the game…
I agree with this as well. One of my friends who is a guy also plays Royale High sometimes since I introduced it to him. I feel like they should've thought about making the decision for the masculine body types. We've both talked about how RH should add more stuff for guys even though it's mostly targeted for a female audience. That way it would make things fair for everyone no matter what you choose to be. I still love playing RH but I feel this decision wasn't exactly the best in my opinion. I feel sorry for any guys who play RH and feel disappointed in this.
Literally thank you so much for actually talking about this, I have yet to see many actual male players' opinions on this, aside from like tweets and stuff that pretty much everyone's probably seen at this point. It's almost entirely the female players giving their opinions, and no offence, but its not really their position to talk about in a way. What I mean is they aren't being affected by this very much, sure some female players do make masculine fits, but they likely won't care much being forced into the feminine style. I myself have voiced my opinions on this as a trans man, but let's be honest, no one really gives a shit about what you say in this community if you don't have a large platform. Which is why I'm glad an actual male player with a decent platform in this damn community has stepped up and said something. Like so many people have said, the idea was good but the way they executed it was not.

I agree with the communty one hundred percent, if the scaling system or what ever that is which we didn't know about in the first place until many players complained about this problem, not ready to be out yet in the game, then why would they put things like this that are obviously not masculine! and then say that they will be modified in the future???, it is really Unprofessional in my opinion.

honestly about "we didn't pay to play it" lets be so fr... this game IS pay to play 😭 the devs have so many genuine issues they're refusing to address that its actually just discriminatory at this point. inflation, absurd diamond prices, lack of POC content and masc content, and farming methods that arent friendly to disabled people. and everytime masc/disabled/etc players speak out about it, they get yelled at by players who dont understand because they're 'complaining'. like yeah but we have a valid reason for it. if theyd take the time to actually communicate maybe we wouldnt have this issue, but they dont, so we have to suffer for it

as a trans masc growing up in a household that i couldn't represent myself without being judged i felt relieved when i could wear more masc body forms and clothes in rh when i couldn't in real life. now as i continue to present myself the form of validation i used to recived is being torn away by lazy developers (not all developers) and it juts hurts having to be put back into that clean cookie cut feminine shape.. do better royal high.

I don't play royale high that much, but it sucks to see that the community isn't being listened to by the developers, hopefully they eventually listen and fix everything though, i feel bad for the more masculine players who are more likely unable to express themselves in royale high now.

I agree with you! I mean this is a serious issue we are having since the Glitterfrost update came! However i remember they announced the sets that have the male torso are being reworked!! Which i'm not sure if is going to be a good idea since the new male torso had caused a real controversy....but i'm not sure what the devs are going to do?....

They should have used this new “masculine” toggle as a GNC/NB/Androgynous toggle.
I think the only way for inclusivity is to make the feminine body type with the feminine version of the item, the masculine body type with the masculine version of the item, the masculine body type with the feminine version of the item, and the feminine body type with the masculine version of the item. The masculine version of think new item is just literally the feminine body type with the masculine version of the item. Not only it doesn't fit with the other items, but it also doesn't fit with the Roblox masculine body. They should add this but they shouldn't remove anything in the items. And the cost of the items is absurd. I don't have all this time to farm. I used to play RH in 2018 and it was so cool but now the game is getting worse each time.

I’ve played Royale since 2018. Game devs should be listening to what their PLAYERS are saying or people are not going to play the game. Also! They are just slowly wiping masc items completely.. thats just excluding ppl that like to dress that way. Knowing the history of controversy of RH, they need to step their game up (literally)

now I am very late to this and I am a female player but this has bugged me ever since... now I do play as feminine characters if I ever play Royale high(which is like never but eh-) but to me by erasing masculine body types for male players to use and making it feminine it's you know erasing representation.... like representation doesn't only come for minority groups like Lgbtq+ people, Black people, Asian people, and so on... goes for literally just anyone.... does not matter if it's a group of people that are in a majority they still should be represented specially if you are a game that wants to be seen as inclusive.... and also like idk to me it just says like let's give male stuff to women... which is already something we see happening in the real world... women have been able to enter places where men have wanted to feel safe like public bathrooms and gyms(and like harass them and stuff, to the point where people have wanted male only gyms-).... and doing that in game it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
this entire situation reminds me of a game(not on Roblox) that I play a lot.... it is a dominantly female fanbase and is a girlish game... but there are plenty of male players who want to feel represented which is something I agree with... specially cause while that game is girly in it's style in some ways the game's story and what you do in it can anyone do.... just like how Royale high is a game meant for like royalty in general which includes well Princes- like I don't get why you would wanna exclude like half of the worlds population unless it's for some sort of like political thing... cause like in reality it would be very beneficial economically for games to represent male players too cause you know you get more players and more players= equals more money-

there are so many issues to address tbh, starting with the new "masc" toggles, i think that the devs should listen to the community for ONCE ffs. and it's not only that, the items are so expensive and it's rly hard to farm dims since they removed every good way to grind. the same happened with the halloween update, they priced the backpack 10k candies and limited apple bobbing to 10/h? there's ppl who can't spend their whole lives js farming. it's a game, it's supposed to be enjoyable and all the recent updates/changes have not contributed.
honestly? they've been letting masc players down for years. GoT corset not having a masculine toggle got me frustraded as a female player lol. a lot of my oc's are males.

as far as i've seen, they didn't give a reason as to why the game is moving away from the boy body type. it could be for convenience for all i know, but it's just sudden and wrong to not only discontinue sets for the boy body type, but ALSO not listen to their community.
again, it's their game and they can do what they want with it as time flies. however, they failed to even let the community talk (especially the male audience of the community) and begins to receive less and less available items overtime.
in my opinion (as a boy too), i don't really bother since i barely play the game anymore. however, i must admit that it's odd to see the developers discontinuing making more items for the boy body type, when they were all about inclusivity and representation (just as the video says). we never received an actual plus-sized set, and now the boy body type is discontinued as we speak, it makes me wonder what else they'll do.
all of this just made me beg the question: do the developers really mean it when they want to show inclusivity and representation in their game, or are they saying + doing that to save their own skins from the backlash of the internet? if they can't add what can be counted as representation, would it really be inclusivity if they refuse to even elaborate on why they're making such decisions?

as for the concerns of other people, some may say that "this is a princess game", "the game wants to represent masculinity in women", etc etc. this makes me wonder about how a game of royalty and knights, originally starting from the show winx, become a game that actively brings more girl items than boy items? if they can add feminine ugc hairs, they can do the same for the masculine ugc hairs. why not do that?
i recently tested the difficulty of making a female and male outfit in royale high + recorded the duration on the stopwatch. the two outfits are essentially the same (theme-wise), just genderbent. adding on, the amount of effort and attention to details were the same. all of this resulted in the female outfit being 11 minutes and a half + 4 accessories short.
this experiment is to represent how male outfits, that wants to attain the same amount of detail and effort as female outfits nowadays, are much more difficult and require a wider range of creativity to make the two outfits match. feminine accessories, bodices, shoes, they get a lot of items for them! however, masculine outfits has to stick to 2022 halloween items to get that "man" look. "man look" as in proportion-accurate and fitting to male outfits.
in a nutshell, there are so many issues with royale high now. from overpriced items, to men losing their spotlight that was shared with women in the game. the game, although not ours as we don't pay them, deserves better. "deserves better" as in the boys being spoiled with the same amount as the girls, boys receiving the same amount of available hair as the girls, and so many more that could've been resolved if the developers just listened! heck, i don't mind if the masculine hairs are of ugc origins, the boys of royale high are getting less spotlight as they fail to consider including men as they focus on implementing things from men to masculine women. i just hope that barbie and her developers will just listen and talk and get the game in a better state.
Royale high developers are the type of people to say, "Be perfect the way you are!" Yet despite what they say, they still do anything to make Drama in the community and make updates like this. 💀
As a woman who presents as male online and used to create a lot of male outfits on rh, I am very sad that they're removing it. Oh well, I got bored of playing the game anyways cuz of the terrible grinding.

I think the main problem here is has the they are changing royal high fron what is used to be. Royal high used to be a gane where people could roleplay and have fun,now the only reason people play the game is just to trade, grind,Dallies,. Like roleplay hsd really just disappeared from the game

They did this to fit with the necklaces, but i feel like it would be easier to make the necklaces have different size toggles right?
They clearly only say they're "inclusive" to virtue signal because if they were actually inclusive they wouldnt have done this change. They don't care about the players.

As a girl, I'm furious about this change as it looks like it's discouraging masculine players to enjoy the game. It just looks like the feminine body but before it goes through puberty- They've never really provided much for masculine players anyway and they are doing THIS?! It's shocking on how many people are complaining about this yet they do nothing. Royale High needs to do better before they lose their fans and players altogether.

everyone is freaked about the new male toggle situation but i think its just the body type for right now. we are getting a scaling option soon and a lot of new sets. currently you cannot mix and match other sets with the new one but you will be able to with upcoming new sets. also to point out it is the only i mean ONLY skinny male set. if youd make the body big and buff like majority of the men sets thats not inclusivity is it?? im quiet a skinny lad and i cannot wait for the scaling option cause that means thicc girls and skinny girls can wear the same thing same with tall thicc boys or skinny boys. i think the new set is unique and probably suitable for some players but its not for everyone and its ok.

imma be real, i rarely use the fem toggles. I'm not trans or so i cant say anything on the dysmorphia aspect but even so i probably wont play RH for a while because i just liked the masc bodies far better and I just wanna make elegant men in dresses or half-biblically not so accurate angel bois in goth vibes but like if they are going to remove the vibes from the game then bestie imma spend my time and money elsewhere!
