650 minus the 300 dining I will definitely spend every month. 350 for a 85k stay at the Ritz Carlton. 25 elite nights versus 15 for other cards. Platinum status is just icing on the cake
If you would ordinarily pay to stay at a $350+ Ritz Carlton every year and/or need the elite nights, it definitely makes sense for you to keep the card.
I agree that the Hilton Aspire is generally better value for the most people. The Brilliant now mostly makes sense for people who want a night at a luxury Marriott hotel each year and are willing to pay $350 for it.

I prefer the Hilton Aspire. I don't think the Brilliant is worth the $650. If they kept the $450 it was a good refresh.

Its worth it. The instant platinum status is sexy. Means I dont have to force myself to stay at hotel if unnecessary
The Brilliant card definitely makes sense for people who stay at Marriott a good amount but worry about being a few nights short of platinum.
I just got it for the sub and free night cert. love it
It's a great card, especially if you can maximize the value in the free night cert.
