Yup, I went to Kansas. Sam, Asa, and I went on a little three day "vacation" down to Wichita for some siren shenanigans, but mostly to meet up with Jared who was visiting for the week. We were going to try and go to one of the 500-SHTTs for the tornado drill today, but after learning that Abilene likely wouldn't be testing and leaving too late to make it to Topeka, we decided to tag along with Jared for the Thunderbolt in Ellinwood. We knew almost nothing about this going in other than that it was either a 5M or 6M. It turned out to be a 5/6 5M, which means I have now heard all three port ratios on this specific blower type (the 1000 video isn't up yet, but eventually it'll be up). This was ungodly loud, and was absolutely worth the trip down there by itself without considering anything else that happened. Thanks for watching, and enjoy!
This was recorded during the 2023 Kansas Statewide Tornado Drill, which took place at 10 AM on March 7th, 2023. The sirens in Barton County are normally tested every Tuesday at 12 PM.

That is one of the best sounding Thunderbolts I have ever heard. The 5M combo with a 5/6 port on level 4 is perfect.
Yessir awesome video! Looks like it's one of the early 5ms too since it has the older rotator design.
It's one of the earliest known. It was installed as a tornado siren in 01/1959 and the first test was on 02/01/1959 at 12:00pm.
Deerwood MN looking ass shot
Anyways, had an absolutely awesome time with you and the others. Thanks for putting up with me!
I frickin love the mount on this one. Amazing video!
5/6 port with level 4 sounds the best
