Please don't call a 2p coin "tuppence". Nobody in the UK does.
2d or two old pre decimal pence was always called "tuppence"
People for the last 45 years have called the current coin "2p".
Also, it isn't a huge coin. It is exactly the same weight as two 1p coins.
However, compared to its buying power, it is huge. We rarely get them in change these days because most prices in shops are rounded to multiples of 5p or even 10p.
