That cut does do you justice, Ms. Donna, and you actually do appear younger. I already got my turkey breast too. Harris Teeter had a STEAL that I purchased a week ago. A HUGE breast that was $21 & change BUT I had no idea that it was gonna be marked down by $7 & change. I heard there was gonna be a shortage this year due to the culling of several thousands this spring. Mine is gonna be injected & I plan to use an smoker that uses zero oil. It's just us 2 (spouse & myself) but with food prices SO OVERPRICED now I know that my meal will be EXACTLY as I want it to taste like & not over prepare items that would be a waste. I'm like you as I like to prepare EARLY! Things have a way of getting overwhelming if one does not prepare EARLY. With shortages it's best to NOT wait. I started some stuff in August to avoid not being able to find what I wanted. Great video information!
I just noticed that the picture behind you actually MATCHES those gorgeous curtains you showed in another video a few days ago which were purchased at Home Goods store. I LOVED them. I would like to find a pair for our bedroom or LR. You definitely have a great eye for decorating.

We put a menu together as a family and divide the menu between my daughters and I. Food is so expensive so this makes it easier for everyone and my daughters and son n law are pretty good cooks. All right, Mrs. Donna, I started this week by buying different things for Thanksgiving such as pie shells, and my spices. I want to be able to see the Christmas parade this year without being stressed if everything going to be done in time. I also want to be able to relax and enjoy family without being so tired.I also want to be able to watch other people getting ready for Thanksgiving like your RUclips channel.
I have always enjoyed everything about Thanksgiving. I wasn't born and didn't grow up on the US, but this is one thing I have always enjoyed since moving to the US.
Thank you so much for these wonderful tips for Thanksgiving. I really needed this. Since I have gotten older I try to plan ahead so it wont be so stressful in me. I ,too had to take the torch of preparing the family meal after my mom passed away 2 years ago. I do a menu on my phone and do a grocery list but I do not check the pantry and end up buying things I already have. But now, I will check before going to shop. I got sooo many ideas from your video. Lady, you are even more detailed then I am! Couple years ago I decided to invest in a oven roaster for my turkey. It works beautifully!! Leaving my range oven for those casseroles that need heating up. Love Thanksgiving and Christmas but shamefully I so enjoy the back end of those days!!

Donna, these are some great tips! I just found out that I am probably going to be cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year because my mom had a minor accident and as a result, she is experiencing limited mobility. She's going to be just fine, but she'll still be recovering at Thanksgiving. I have done it many times before, so I'm not worried about it at all. The only tip that I would share with people is to try to have some dishes on the menu that can be made ahead of time. I would also say to have plenty of extra butter and chicken broth on hand. Butter and chicken broth can fix a lot of mistakes, lol.

Mrs. Donna, I've seen you make all type of cakes and meals. Can you do this one thing...teach these youngsters how to make a Butter Roll. Only older people know how to fix this dessert including myself. My mother and I enjoy watching your videos. Each Saturday we catch up with what we've missed. We laugh at your husband so much. Whenever he eats, or approach the cakes, he has that Cosby grin and dance. He acts like a family member of ours. We wish we could see you all in person. Keep the videos coming.

On Thanksgiving Day I only have the gravy to make while watching the Macy’s Christmas Parade .Everything else is ready to heat up in the oven. I plan ahead so that I can enjoy Thanksgiving Day without the stress so that I can enjoy my family and friends. We eat @ 2 pm.

You are a very good planner I usually just go full storm the nite before I do the deserts, prep my turkey n ham on the day of I wakes up at 5 am n the cooking begins I bakes everything I need first them by noon the ham n turkey go in n the fun begins . ❤️🙏🏽🐳

This the way I get myself Ready for any holiday I prepare a month in advance but in advance I've got my menu and also prepare what things I need to get and what I have in my pantry check expiration dates on the things I have in my Pantry. Hello Donna, you and I think alike. I do exactly the same things with my lists. I am a total country girl 👢 and I grew up in the kitchen watching 👀 my mom. We both Thank God for those amazing sisters with those helping hands 🤚🏽✋🏽. My t win sister is totally an awesome help along with my nieces. Wow that's a lot of prep and cooking. My hat is off to you. Our thanksgiving dinner is potluck style. Each person brings a dish or a dessert. We only do turkey for thanksgiving and do ham at Christmas. My mom makes the dressing so that is her set dish. I do chocolate peanut butter bars , pumpkin caramel cake and the macaroni and cheese, my auntie Ronda does the pecan pie. My maw maw fries chicken strips for the little ones and makes the collards. My daughter makes the banana pudding. My cousin B don't really cook so she gets the disposable plates, cups and silverware. Now I'm hungry 😂. Thank you for being so kind and breaking it down.

Donna, these are some great tips! I just found out that I am probably going to be cooking and hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year because my mom had a minor accident and as a result, she is experiencing limited mobility. She's going to be just fine, but she'll still be recovering at Thanksgiving. I have done it many times before, so I'm not worried about it at all. The only tip that I would share with people is to try to have some dishes on the menu that can be made ahead of time. I would also say to have plenty of extra butter and chicken broth on hand. Butter and chicken broth can fix a lot of mistakes, lol.

Hey Miss Donna, I enjoyed your video as normal but missed seeing you Dude number one, he keeps me laughing. My family preps before too and it really helps a lot. It also really helps that we each split the dishes we are going to make so that it’s not so overwhelming for anybody. But if I had to do everything on my own I would definitely follow “Miss Donna’s Guide to Thanksgiving”. 😊

Mrs. Donna, I've seen you make all type of cakes and meals. Can you do this one thing...teach these youngsters how to make a Butter Roll. Only older people know how to fix this dessert including myself. My mother and I enjoy watching your videos. Each Saturday we catch up with what we've missed. We laugh at your husband so much. Whenever he eats, or approach the cakes, he has that Cosby grin and dance. He acts like a family member of ours. We wish we could see you all in person. Keep the videos coming.

On Thanksgiving Day I only have the gravy to make while watching the Macy’s Christmas Parade .Everything else is ready to heat up in the oven.
I plan ahead so that I can enjoy
Thanksgiving Day without the stress so that I can enjoy my family and friends.
We eat @ 2 pm.

You are a very good planner I usually just go full storm the nite before I do the deserts, prep my turkey n ham on the day of I wakes up at 5 am n the cooking begins I bakes everything I need first them by noon the ham n turkey go in n the fun begins . ❤️🙏🏽🐳

This the way I get myself Ready for any holiday I prepare a month in advance but in advance I've got my menu and also prepare what things I need to get and what I have in my pantry check expiration dates on the things I have in my Pantry. Donny you did a wonderful job with the holiday details, I'm the same way and my kids look at me like I'm crazy. I took them it will be your turn one day. I take it one step further after the event I take a day off rest and reflect on how or what I can do to make it easier on my, because as you get older it is a bit much. Love Ya Donna😊

Wow that's a lot of prep and cooking. My hat is off to you. Our thanksgiving dinner is potluck style. Each person brings a dish or a dessert. We only do turkey for thanksgiving and do ham at Christmas. My mom makes the dressing so that is her set dish. I do chocolate peanut butter bars , pumpkin caramel cake and the macaroni and cheese, my auntie Ronda does the pecan pie. My maw maw fries chicken strips for the little ones and makes the collards. My daughter makes the banana pudding. My cousin B don't really cook so she gets the disposable plates, cups and silverware. Now I'm hungry 😂. Thank you for being so kind and breaking it down.
