@@TheSaleryCap I'll take a look in my storage and see exactly what footage it is but I can't be sure because I no longer have a VHS player, so I don't know aside from the writing on the tape itself.
It's so interesting that Dick Bremer is calling this game because in 1997 and 1998 I was a DJ at KVSC which is where Dick also broadcasted years earlier.
I like Tyus Jones alot, but, he is not better then El-Amin. I think Khalids intensity was superior to Jone's. However I must say: Jones doesn't get rattled and is a legit All American and worthy of all the attention.
+propoach It was the UPN(at the time)station in Minneapolis/St. Paul KMSP. They are now the FOX affiliate for the Twin Cities and most of MN. At this time they were pretty much a regional superstation as pretty much every cable system across the state of MN had KMSP in the channel lineup.
should have stayed with the sweet 16,Staples a small town gave North a run for their money actually they played a stall game at the end, Staples actually should have won this no knock on North at all. Now the tournament is destroyed by four classes.
Great upload. I have been looking for high school footage of El-Amin for years.
I smile about this everytime I think about this game. 30-0 FOREVER
I still have this on VHS tape. I'm from North Minneapolis but graduated high school from Foley in 1998. In 1995 I was 15!
Do you have any other footage from 95'? This is C. Rainey speaking...
@@TheSaleryCap Hello, I'm not sure. I'd have to check the VHS tapes.
Ok, I am gathering footage for my upcoming documentary. I'd be willing to pay...
Minneapolis North 92-95, ANY footage

Omg I remember watching this..great upload this was a very memorable game..I was only 12
I STILL remember watching this as a 13 year old!
Wow! I remember going to see this game!
I remember that game. I played youth hockey with westburry from north, but he played b-ball in high school

At the time this game was played I was on the director staff at KVSC(I was a co sports director for the 1994-95 academic year)
Staples is also where he graduated HS from
Thanks for sharing this. Would love to see anymore old MN tournament games. Thank you.

ANTHONY BLACKRHINO 5 years later this is a nba player
@@CashKidCJ And 5 years after that, Tyus is still in the NBA and is a very solid PG
whatever MN network was broadcasting this game did a better production job than most modern NBA broadcasts. the cameras in the huddles are excellent.

I wish I did. It was a memorable one.
Do you have any other north championship games?
Blaine Joeger is the brother of Dave, NBA head coach.
Sorry. This is the only North game I've seen so far.

Mark Hall and here is a tissue for your tears after all these years you KKK member
@@catfishguy3822 What a piece of shit you must be.
Staples had too many turnovers: they could have prevailed
mandrick hasan wat up
The lack of a shot clock here is crazy. They hold for last possession so far from the end of the quarters
