Don't set the bar too high. It doesn't click for everyone. But if you have popcorn nearby, that should help. It's visually quite stunning and Max Von Sydow is perfectly cast as Ming.

Great topic for a video series... I have over 400 DVDs/bluRays that I need to do the same thing to.

Huck!!.. Absolutely outstanding topic for a video. I would LOVE to see some of your other custom consolidations. I am going to look over my collection and see where I could possibly pull this off. I have too many damn versions of TERMINATOR 2 and that's not even with a 4K yet. Love what you're doing with your channel. (pssst - Im AKA Andy Siems , Uncle Kpop if my super dork KPOP fan I.D.). I will link this video in my AVH Facebook group.

Thanks my friend. Your sharing this means the world to me. I already have so many views after just one night. As gratitude, I will totally do a follow video to this, heck, maybe make it a recurring thing, and I’ll even dedicate the next one to you!

@@HucksPopCultureCafe You are too kind, Sir. Don't worry about me just keep spilling out your fantastic enthusiasm for the love of film. People notice when your excitement for the topic infects everything and it is catching. Like I said, talking physical media and blu-ray/4K collecting is such a great topic for those of us who do still love the thrill of breaking open that shrink wrap, exploring the inner goodies of the set, and then putting them into our collections. I will become very sad the day studios stop making hard media of films. Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

If the 4K 3 disc case has a detachable disc flipper, maybe try putting that in the thick 4K case.

I'm to the point to where I do need to start getting custom cases. So far, I have managed with a cheaper alternatives. For example, blu-rays used to come with an extra disc that was only a digital copy. I don't do digital copies. Yank that extra disc, toss it, and now I have a 2 disc case that I can swap with single disc blu-ray.
Alternative 2 isn't as pretty but it gets the job done assuming you only need a maximum of 3 discs. For the extra 2 discs, put them into paper sleeves and slide them under the tabs on the inside of cases.

Love it! I agree. Toss those digital discs. Those are a real waste, especially if you’ve already acquired the digital version. Then it’s a total waste of space. The beauty of dumping those discs means now I have a spare 2 or 3 disc case, depending the contents. Then I downgrade those to the case with the proper hubs needed and now I have a fresh case to upgrade any future titles.

I've been doing the same with my DVDs and blue rays... I just can't seem to want to get rid off the DVD art work since i can't put it inside the blue ray case so, save it in a folder nice and flat till i figure out what to to do 😆

I like that you do that. I thought of doing something like that but then I'd be creating another thing to take up space, but I do like that you save those. Some of them are fantastic. A lot of these new covers are just Photoshop garbage. So little creativity put into them. But many of the older films have great poster art. That's what I love about Shout Factory. They retain the original poster you love on one side but give you a new custom created by them, and those are usually fantastic and respectful to the film as well.

I totally agree with you. Now a days, the most "creative thought" is making digipacks, which are just terrible for discs. So much creativity on so many of those DVD cases. And not just the cases. Some menus where immensely creative as well.

That is true. It does make it a bit thicker and I did do that for one or two I didn’t feel like cutting, but usually I’m not too attached to those other than for track selection and other info.
