I just gat a new toshiba C50-B14Z and cant find a way to open the dvd drive....After some research i found out the laptop didnt come with a dvd drive...so is there a way i could upgrade the empty dvd to a real dvd drive....reply please

You can fit a DVD drive that will work but wont fit neatly.

I own the same model with 1 slot of 4GB RAM, i tried to replace it with 1 module of 8GB 1600MHz, not working, screen black not booting, so i tried another module of 8GB 1333MHz, same issue ⚠️. How can i fix it to have 8GB?
You need a module that is exactly 1.35v otherwise you can damage processor

You don't need these in a humid place like in Puri. These mats are to protect electronic parts from static discharge.

Why is the fan of my laptop (I have the same one) is not working?. I know that is not working because it get to 160-180 degrees Fahrenheit the gpu and the cpu and the mainboard between 160 and 170.

Toshiba has great quality, aka they over tighten screws so you can't get them off.

I opened it up and noticed that it doesn't come with a fan so I'm assuming its built to run at those tems and is a little hotter because I live in Jamaica, the tropics. Th e hottest ive seen was 86, it idles at what you said. Thank you for replying

This is the least expensive laptop Toshiba made at the time. The GPU is on the motherboard and non-replaceable. Additionally, the CPU is soldered directly to the motherboard as well, on AMD-equipped models, making another laptop probably the best upgrade choice.
