My solo IRON BANNER quest experience
I can describe this video in one word.
*Pain*

I did my quest line in 2 and a half days on a Hunter on console 😫
Fruit trying to get the grenade kills spoke to my SOUL my lord i had to body someone with a bow then throw skip grenades at them... my sanity...
I didn't have Shinobu's Vow so I had to shoot someone 3 times with my outbreak and throw a swarm 😫
Kek meanwhile striker titans with double pulse grenades( with the subclass extended effect) got it easy.
I clipped my 5 kills/ 2 nade at the beginning of the match.
All i had to do was rushing in zone C and throwing grenades there.
It was unexpected so they all fell for it
The grenade kills were the worst part by far

I did the whole quest on my warlock but then remembered I love the hunter armor with the warmind ornaments so I had to do it twice...

My solo iron banner experience included me contemplating my life and how I got to this point.
P.S. in the beginning the hunter have a perk that if you have low health you get grenade recharge faster and the recluse if you shoot near a wall it damages you
I did the grind on all 3 characters. It was awful. They could either let assists count, or adjust the percentages next time around.
Or let you do All steps at ones? Or would that be too easy?

@@Ronin-42 I did like 90% of the quest on my hunter and couldn't bring myself to finish it, but I imagine if I wasn't solo queuing it wouldn't have been so bad😂🤷

When i realized the bounties wouldnt get me the armor i was so pissed off! Why would you put a quest line this extensive on a timed pvp game mode. It was bull shit. I cant play all day! I have to work! And sleep!

I found auto rifle kills godly easy with sweet business and actium war rig easily getting a few quad kills with it b4 dying to handheld supernovas

Fun fact: that hunter at the start almost killing himself was trying to proc Combat Meditation (an arcstrider perk) to recharge his grenade/melee. The perk means that when your health is critical, your grenade and melee recharge much faster
@Mr. Fruit, this video was too real my dude. As a fellow titan trying to get those grenade finishes took me 2 freakin days, I swear no one else on my team even knew they had grenades. I practically cried when I finished the last quest. But damn if that armor isn't dope AF
I’ve only been playing Destiny for around 3 weeks now and I can definitely say Iron Banner is no joke, took me about 3 days of constant grind to get the full hunter outfit.
Jade Rabbit did the job for scout kills on Equinox or Midtown. It simply involved sitting waaaaaaaaaay back at the edge of the map picking off people.
That hunter at 0:35 was doing the grenade kill quest too. I did the same thing so that my grenade would recharge faster. That step was pure suffering.
I couldn't get past the grenade kills, I eventually gave up to spare my sanity.
After I got the gauntlets I was done. I was tilted off the face of the planet after that. Especially since I was 710 light so I was getting destroyed.

Hey Fruit in TTT there is a way to put in custom/different roles. I believe it is a mod but I’m not 100% sure. Achievement Hunter did it recently and it was super cool. I thought it would be awesome if you looked into it for you and the others to play. Love you fruit keep up the great CoNtEnT!❤️ (Like so father Fruit can see)

For grenade kills for Titans, I ran the heart of inmost light with a fusion nade. Just popped my barricade for the buff and then stuck someone for the one shot nade kill. Got it done pretty quick.
Fruit, there was a cheese for that last step. You would get a win streak of at least 2, the. Load into the tower and hit launch. During the 3, 2, 1 countdown, you would switch characters and then load back into the ship screen and you would get progress for the quest. May god bless your soul, whats left of it anyways.

for the last step you can get a win streak, go to the tower, fly to orbit, go back to the tower, and repeat. For some reason this gives percent towards the quest. I finished it in about 5 mins by doing this
I started Iron Banner really late last week, like Sunday. I was grinding that quest until I saw that get kills with several types of weapons step, then I said rip me. There will probably be two other Iron Banners this season though. Crazy to think about those who are gonna grind it out on all characters, since the quest is not account-wide.
I'm still on a small hiatus from D2 for things that are shown in this video it just got old, but Mr.fruit makes D2 great to watch.
played probably 20hrs of IB last week................didn't finish the quest :(

If you say any hunters making themselves low or shooting themselves with ricochet its because there is a affect for low tree arc strider where when the user is low on health grenades charge fast

What Calus saw aboard the Leviathan was not the Darkness, it was actually the Iron Banner consuming us all within its endless abyss of eternal pain
I can't speak for hunters but Warlocks handheld super nova and Titan magnetic grenades make grenade kills super easy. I got both my full set for warlock and Titan done pretty smooth.
Hunters can use a bow with skips, bottom tree arcstaff and a ricochet round weapon to get low on health so you regen nades faster. Thats what you do for hunters
I did the quest on all three characters, warlock was the easiest, then Hunter, then Titan

I can relate so hard at 0:49 I literally calculated how many grenade kills I would need and when I thought it was my last one it said 99% and I was like Bruh.
I nearly finished all 3 characters, I liked the fact it forced you to use different weapons (more variety than usual meta). Also, solo queued for 90% of it.
The worst part for me was the last quest. Not because it was the hardest. But because I grinded so many before that. I don’t know why all games do that they give you one quest and then after they give you a quest and then you’re like “I already DID ALL OF THAT!”

I deadass grinded more and suffered more brutally during this IB completing the quest than I did in comp grinding for Luna and Recluse both combined

Two things. Fruit go for the triumph of full gear 5 matches and 50 kills. And also the last part was glitched. You could just leave and comeback a few times from a planet depending on streak and get it done without fighting.
Hey Mr fruit! In the beginning of the video that hunter that was shooting himself was doing that to get him to critical health, so his grenades would regenerate faster (arcstrider bottom tree perk). Pair that with frostees and you got grenades for days!

So watching you, Th3 Jez, and datto, i impulsively bought the dlc bundle last week after not playing D2 since it was free on ps4 and i have been playing almost nonstop
I felt this on spiritual level I was at wits end solo queuing ib I played over 80 games just to finish on my Titan. Then I did 5 more to get the gold shader from the triumph.
Talons of the eagle is underrated. I've got one with explosive payload, dropmag, and full auto. It'll yoink bois outta the sky so fast

Erm, Mr. Fruit, i feel your pain, i went through worse and i never even got close to the chest piece, only got the quest section for it yesterday, Monday, as it took THREE FREAKING DAYS to complete the grenades section and by the time i got that i item i had reset my valor once (first time ever in my history of playing PVP anyway as i suck) and then i said oh bugger this and came off as i had enough of Iron Banner for maybe a lifetime, i totally gave up, Pain is not a word i would use for this, Excrutious Overbearing Pain is what i would use instead, congrats on getting the full set

Jade rabbit was awesome for the scout rifle kills! Grenade kills was the pain for everybody I know who completed this quest

Erentil/Black Talon are actually just good weapons, though, this quest is likely the cause of more them being used moreso than normal. Erentil with the right rolls has insane OHK range, and Black Talon is just 'right click to delete whoever you see'
This video was actually my existence the last two days before the reset. I never got to finish the final step, but I understand the feeling. Still not as bad as the Mountaintop grind ;_;
I didn’t finish this. I picked it up and focused on revoker quest. By the time I realized what exactly that quest was asking me to do I was half way done.
If you’re focusing that quest I can see why it’d be frustrating but if it kinda off on the side then I think you’ll progress better

I got destiny 2 the full version now I can go to lvl 50 and I keep seeing these painfull quest I'm going to cry
un4giving 101_ if you just got into the full version it won't be so bad. As you're working on one thing, you'll be gaining progress on others.

This video is perfect for how that iron banner grind was. At least you had good internet connection! And played on PC. God. I got the armor and everything, but it cost my soul.
Titan top tree striker + a couple of ordnance mods + Armamentarium + demolitionist on austringer and epicurean = a lot less pain on grenade kills.
Thank Lord Salad for the Black Talon for the sword kills though :)
Fruit! Check out a game called AER. It's an exploration puzzle game where you can turn into a bird and fly around. It's fun and very chill.

Same fruit, hammers are a shell of there former glory. Striker is much better and more powerful. Also, if you can get good Sentinel is super fun.
Feel your pain Mr. Fruit, I’ve just done the IB and I’m working through Mountaintop. PvP grind is real!
It took my buddy two days to complete the last step. I logged on to start the last part of the quest as soon as he finished his. Miraculously I went on a 4 win streak and finished the quest in one sitting!!
The worst part was the headstrong quest because once your already dying inside and done with the iron banner it forces you to play more
i didn't start playing iron banner till second go around and i'm on the grenade step. if you use the right set up it's not that troublesome for titans. heart of inmost light exotic chest and stick void nades. im sure others have already suggested this but it dose make it way easier
Just a friendly reminder that on the last step, pc players can start flying to the tower, press change character mid flight, and load back into the same characters and you will have progress. Repeat until the quest is finished
Console players will have to have a 2 win streak to be able to activate this method

I had a big sruggle with the grenade kills. But on a titan, use heart of inmost light, get empowered and use a grenade that sticks on enemys. I used fusion grenade on solar titan. It one shotted almost everybode :)
I thought i was the only one who went through those phases. I too struggled with the grenade kills. It was torture!

I just got D2, having fun, then did first ever crucible quickplay match at light level 84. I PUNCH. I KILL. I WON.
