Recently got into PC gaming again (not had a PC since late 90s, only console) and picked up the Arkham GOTY Trilogy for £7 in a Steam sale. Looking forward to playing these
This game Don’t even work good on pc mane csnt even get pass through return back to ground from the bat cave cuz the boxes don’t even spawn in to grab em
Still in 2023 this game is a gem and you dont even need mods to fix bugs or anything (not to my knowledge) however you can get better textures mods but you really dont need them to have a great time and im stilling playing it to this day I love to re play the game.
I hit a bug today, when you are exiting the ruined Bat cave and climbing out . Jump Glide over, climb up some stuff and grapple from that outside area back. The game just crashed on me mid swing. That was about it.
@@JacksGameReviews I'll be watching. Just the level of interest and care they took with the Batman lore is enough to want to replay all of them. Batman wouldn't be without the villains
My favorite game ever. Like a comic brought to life, unlike the other games which seemed to want to replicate the Nolan films with its tech focused HUD and more realistic sound effects.
This game was pretty scary you know, the lighting, the atmosphere and don’t forget about that jingle that plays when joker is plotting 🔥 it’s a shame Arkham Knights didn’t have the magic the original trilogy had… good work on the review man 👍🏽
@@JacksGameReviews ohh yesssss! almost forgot scarecrow was in the game, he was creepy as hell 🤣 Don’t worry about it man, I’m thinking about replaying the trilogy soon, good to hear your honest critique on the game 👍🏽💯
Fun fact. This isnt the first iteration of free flow combat. Spierman on PS2 was the first. It had the same counter system and combo system. It wasnt as fleshed out but it inspired the Arkham combat
Tbf I have played it since 2009 I know the best upgrades map layout enemy types clues and some of the riddler stuff so yeah :D Just beat Arkham city in about 6 hours too D:
Haha I swear I was also thinking that too mine was after finishing.(Played 20h) Probably spent 19h on the Killer Croc sewer maze, or it felt like that.
RIP Kevin 🙏😢 I just decided to come back to this game after spiderman 2 released and this game I felt like coming back to and for good reason it's an amazing game and I don't think anything can top it except for Spiderman 2 #Nostallga 😞.
I am thinking of replaying this on my channel because it was a decent game thanks for the review you revive my memory 🌺 But i wonder if it's better to start with it or origin or city ?
Finished this game a few month ago im working through the trillogy and getting through city its so hard with the challanges i only just got all the medals for batman now im working to get the same with cat woman good video tho
I wanted to replay the series again recently because it’s so great. But having recently finished GOW I just couldn’t get into it because of the combat. It felt so dated and slow/unresponsive
I just beat it for my first time today because I had a terrible first impression at release and didn’t enjoy it. This also happened with BoTW haha. Anyways, now that I’m way older I thought “What the heck I forgot I haven’t beat Batman yeah.” Being more mature I really enjoyed it, I guess I didn’t have the patience as it back then,
Just bought the trilogy and all downloads on Xbox Series X for a $9 bucks, great deal. I already own them for the 360 but for some reason it didn’t show that I owned them on the Series X. Didn’t really mind though because it was cheap and I liked the trilogy a lot. Just got finished playing through Asylum and multiple achievements aren’t showing up including the “Crack the E Nigma” which is super annoying! Anyone else experience this glitch? It’s weird that my profile still shows my previous 360 Arkhum achievements separate from this recent one I purchased on the Series X. Great games, even after all these years.
As a wii/wii u guy who finally has a capable gaming box I have so many cool games I've never played. Getting this, dark souls, skyrim, dragons dogma, and just cause 2. Anything else from like 2009-2015 I missed out on big time? (besides halo 3 and modern warfare 2 multiplayer at their peaks QQ)
Can anyone help me out ? I always get a Rendering Thread exception when running the game, I get the error in between and game crashes all of a sudden, don't know why it happens. My specs are Intel 13thGen i5 1335u, 8GB of RAM, Intel Iris Xe graphics. Arkham City runs just fine on max settings.
Well..my FIRST playthrough took me about...twenty hours or so, but I really sucked in all the details and all the passionate easter eggs and references...and there was SO MUCH to discover!! I can't really think of another game that's so crammed with secrets and little story bits - just awesome....and if you really delve into being the Dark Knight and relish in taking out the enemies from the shadows in true Batman fashion instead of just running into every group of henchmen, the game gets significantly longer than just five hours...so, IF you haven't played this legend of a game and you even just somewhat like Batman - do yourself a HUGE favor and play it!!! Buy the Arkham Collection, this way you get the grandiose successor and the also very good Arkham Knight for around..15 - 20 bucks!! Do it NOW!!!!😉👍🏻✊🏻💞
I wish Batman Begins the video game would be backward compatible on Xbox or if we could just get a HD port or a remaster. Its probably the best film video game ever. Its really a incrediBALE game and usually when the games are based upon a movie 99% of the time the game is bad. That being Said the Arkham series is awesome even origins is such a great game... The Mister freeze DLC is fantastic. People were way too hard on that Game back in the days. But today its funny because I see a lot of comments or post saying that Origins is underated lol. Origins had like the best bosses sequences. Beating Deathstroke was so epic
yea arkham asylum is a literal masterpiece and its pretty cheap so if you havent already just buy it. the only thing id say thats bad in this game is the scarecrow sections and the riddler trophies but that seems to be very common critisizm
@@JacksGameReviews Lol fair play bud (sorry, I couldn't resist)! A good review and will look to check out your other Batman game vids. I got fed up halfway through City when that was released, because I thought this one was a masterpiece in atmosphere and gameplay (for the time, and it didn't feel like City brought anything new to the table, and in fact only diluted it). And damn those later challenge rooms in this one! Not only a mastery of the mechanics needed but a huge slice of luck (which I never had). Booo!
I cant play these games 😔 which i hate because i wish i could. Love batman... i just played one of them for a sec and hated how it feels and immediately stopped. The combat just doesnt feel good to me. The city doesnt feel like a living city either. I think the spiderman ps4 game worked so much better
I said that too after I bought the Trilogy forever ago. Kept hearing people talking about these games and finally gave it a fair 3 hours of play and ended up being addicted. Same thing happened to me with breath of the wild.
it is still good so much better then the live action batman movie mark hamill is a better joker then heath ledger the villians are more like their comic book characters but arkham city is better
Remember this all happened because a guard refused to let batman pass through
Another reason I say GPD is Useless
not really, even though joker gets locked up, harley is still out there and i know she has plans.

Preciate the video, actually about to replay Arkham Knight.

IMA STILL REVIEW THEM ALL

alright time to play it again… great review by the way!
Thanks Hugo :D
You aren’t Hugo strange by chance D:

Arkham City was the superior game.
The others were fine, City still felt like a comic book in its aesthetic even if the UI was different
If only I could get the fucking thing to run. No matter what I download or reinstall, i keep getting the physx error.
I’m playing it now i was in 11th grade when Arkham asylum first came out it still holds up like it did in 2009

That’s fair enough, I did find the combat a little unresponsive when compared to its sequels
Everything is slow comparted to God of War. Except maybe Sifu.

It's because Origins was made by a different studio, Warner Bros Montreal, so it's not classed as part of the Rocksteady trilogy
