Love this and love you my friend! (Rainy here today in North Carolina so I watched this vid for a fresh outlook/tips from one of my fav. photographer/RUclipsr! Looking forward to having you collab on a future film! Peace.
Man! What a great video! I loved those shots and especially the colors brought forward in many of the night shots, så very very vividly especially with all the darkness around... -Beautiful! I'm subscriber number 6561 and I am looking forward to see what comes next from you!
Appreciate the tips and setting a mind set for shooting. Great video and awesome pictures. I will try this, just need to build the courage and safety nets for my camera. lol
I keep coming back to learn more about photography and see great photos. (seeing such beautiful depiction of even common things and sceneries through photos is so inspiring) Another great video Kuya Kebs!👏🏼 (seeing those photos during the rain was really calming)
Thank you! 🙏 I'm happy that you think they are "beautiful depiction of common things and sceneries." One of my favorite favourite photographer is Saul Leiter - "the man searching for beauty."
Calming yes.... That's the video which made me an instant subscriber too... The talking, the music and the photos obviously, all make for a video which is just an over all joy to watch!
You must be xD You really make me (as a beginner currently sticking with Sony a6000) want to buy a cheap Fuji Compact just for the sake of film simulation hehe 😂
great vid and pictures man... I always go with a golf umbrella big enough to hold 4 people inside. I got most of the looks from people because of my giant umbrella rather than me walking around under the rain taking pictures.
OK it can be tricky to do, but something to try is to have a go a using a flash gun on camera, especially with heavy rain. A lot of the time you get blown out rubbish, but it's possible to freeze the drops with the flash, and get a curtain of drops with a shadowy drop off. And you can experiment with different coloured gels for some atmospheric abstract outcomes. Keeping all the kit dry is hard, but having an assistant to hold the umbrella can be helpful. Good vid again.
Thanks for sharing Martin! Using flash is something that I need to learn both for normal day and rainy day shooting. I need to muster the courage to fire a flash on the streets! Good tip! My wife and I usually stay under the same umbrella when I'm shooting with her!
Thank you! I also use my X70 (non-weather sealed) in the rain. What I do is I hold it under my chin when I'm not shooting, then put it up to my face when I shoot (not sure if I can do the same with weight of DSLR). I think in light showers or moderate rain, it's safe to shoot under an umbrella with a non-weather sealed camera. I'm positive it's ok, but I can't recommend it without proper protection (camera raincoat / waterproof case). Ease into it, maybe shoot under a shaded area first? 😁
You said you were using aperture mode. But did you just use fastest aperture in night shooting? Or are you focused on light source stars? Slow aperture I got f4 weather sealed lens. F1.8 prime (not weather sealed).
Mainly because of the reach (can shoot at a distance under a shade) and also the long lens hood that protects the front element from getting splashed on.
Friends, let me know if I missed anything. I'll address them on the next video :)

True! Safety precautions need to be done. I think planning where to go might also help - strategically shooting near shades.
Thanks Allan!

Ah, good idea - let them focus on something else :)

Hi sir, plz make another video like Tokyo in 35mm😍
Planning to have one in 16mm and 18mm!
Dude, what happened to your channel?
You said you were using aperture mode. But did you just use fastest aperture in night shooting? Or are you focused on light source stars? Slow aperture
I got f4 weather sealed lens. F1.8 prime (not weather sealed).
Yes, I shoot with f2 at night. Depending on the scene, I do focus more often on light source specially on wider focal length lenses.
Hi do you have any tips of what brand of smartphone that is alternative on using DSLR? Thank you
Hi, Nico! I can't recommend phones that I haven't tried personally. The xiaomi redmi line is good enough for me at the moment! :)
@@KebsCayabyab thanks
Why do you prefer the 50mm?
Mainly because of the reach (can shoot at a distance under a shade) and also the long lens hood that protects the front element from getting splashed on.
Nc Nc :)
Thanks Paps! 🙏
I clicked so fast
same haha
Thanks guys!
