WM 40 Night 1 was a good show. Not sure if its one of the best WrestleManias, but there's little to complain or gripe about. All the matches and outcomes were solid.
I was pleasantly surprised that Gunther lost. I was immensely surprised that The Rock allowed himself to appear vulnerable several times during his match, since Dwayne Johnson has to map out his movie fights like a quadratic equation and never lose or look weak.
Everyone still in the company that got beef with Bloodline and Rock needs to pull up. When they first started fighting outside, Rock told the ref that if he counted he'd lose his job. After that Rock kept giving looks and hints that basically turned the match into No DQ for The Bloodline and a standard rules for Cody and Seth.
Honestly the whole night was pretty predictable in terms of who was going to win and why. As a wrestling fan and a wrestler on the indys til this day, that always bothered me how sometimes some shows come off as too safe or predictable if you follow the story beats week to week. Other than that, the action was amazing, the crowd was into everything for the most part and can't wait for Night 2 to see what happens.
