I kept trying different versions of birth control and every single time I'd go on a new one and feel so depressed and basically PMSed for months straight. I decided that I just can't be on hormonal birth control ever again. It's best decision I've ever made for myself!

As someone who had been on birth control for many years and stopped because of a DVT, I felt "normal" after I stopped too. While on it I literally felt crazy! So happy you are feeling better too! ❤
Had a saddle embolism while on birth control and had to stop. I’m the rare one that felt better on it. 😭
I wish I could stop but I’m not ready for a baby right now my mental isn’t as bad as another birth control I tried but I’ll get off so it in a year or two.
I came off the pill a couple of years ago after being on it for 10 years for my skin, I always thought depression was just part of my personality but turns out it’s not ! I will say my skin broke out at around 6 weeks but it got better once my hormones learnt to do their thing naturally. I’m excited for this next chapter for you!

Stopped with bc as well and while I did have nicer skin, (and cough bigger boobs cough), I'd take this over crying every single day about not being able to enjoy life. Not seeing much people say this so I'll say it here: you do see results almost immediately but to get back to where it was before, it really takes a while. (Took me an actual full year for my body to fully recover)

I'm so happy to hear you decided to stop birth control. Those hormones mess with our bodies so much and we often don't realize it. This is the second time I've had to stop taking birth control because it started giving me migraines and vision problems, which can lead to stroke. Best of luck with your journey! 😊

Honestly so excited for you with the birth control journey. The best thing I ever did for myself was get off hormonal birth control. My mind and body feel so much better. 6yrs in now!

Had the iud that is in the uterus up to 5 years took it out two years later and feel 100% better mentally better and lost the weight that it gave me . Lol that little thing gave me hell
If you don't mind me asking, what do you now use? Condoms? I'd like to quit the pill as well
@@meganchabot I use Inositol for basic hormone balance for my PCOS. I only took birth control for health reasons. But once I quite and started using Inositol as a supplement, my skin is clearer and my periods are normal and my bloat is gone
@@meganchabot I’m married and no longer trying for more children so my situation is different now but I used to closely monitor my cycle and use condoms. Now my husband has a vasectomy.

I have the arm implant which only has progesterone and not estrogen. It's done very well for me.

My periods are less painful after I got rid of my IUD it was killing me mentally and physically. Felt happier as well. Been without birth control since 2017

I think I’ll be on month 3 without it and before I stopped it got to the point where several times a day I was thinking how bad I needed mental help or a doctor and I’ve felt WAY different in the best way after stopping! I'm so happy to hear getting off birth control has been going so fantastic for you! Please be kind to yourself if any symptoms do pop back up. It's all apart of the process. I had great skin until month 3 I think but then by month 9 off any acne went away completely again! You've got this!

I remember feeling so good coming off birth control. They say you're supposed to find the birth control that works for you and I probably just settled for the first one I tried and it was not the one.
I have the IUD and I’m getting it removed and getting my tubes tied. I can’t take the pill and Iv had so many issues with my iud

When I got off mine I went through all the emotions. One week of crying, one week of annoyance. But now that it’s all out of my system I feel so clear and my anxiety doesn’t consume me as hard anymore. I used to not be able to drink caffeine. Like one cup a day I could have but if I have more later it triggered my anxiety. Now I can have more caffeine if I wanted. I even noticed clearer skin too

How do you remove a built-in fridge when you have to move bc the landlord raised rent and you have to sell all of your furniture and appliances and move in with your parents though?
@@alohaXamanda you don't remove it. It's already built into the kitchen so you don't need to buy a fridge
@@alohaXamanda Ya don't. The fridge is part of the kitchen like a stovetop would be. But if you want to, you can just unscrew the cover (aka cabinet door).

Morgan......I've loved following your journey over the last few years of discovering you.
The last bit of this vlog spoke to me.
I was on the pill and other things to help with endometriosis by the time I was 10yrs old.....I was then diagnosed with Chronic depression and BPD when I was 16 and was on meds until I was 26.
I made the decision to take myself off everything when I was 27 and honestly it's been a major struggle. I've been on/off everything, but now at 28 and off everything for a year it's been amazing to actually know who I AM without the help of chemical blockers.
It's strange to know that is actually who I am and that I do have emotions and more empathy that I ever thought possible.
My skin is damaged but is super healthy...but im not ashamed to walk around without makeup.
You have taught me to love myself.

I was taking birth control for 6 years before I stopped because I hated the way it made me feel… one year later and I feel amazing! I’ve also noticed my anxiety isn’t as bad after stopping which is so nice

When I tried birth control I had to change several times because it messed with my hormones so bad lol. I didn’t feel like myself with any of them. The benefits did not outweigh the negatives for me so I stopped. I think it’s different for everyone and I am happy for you! Also drinking that much water helps with both energy as well as clearing up our skin! So you’re doing an amazing combination for your body right now! You look gorgeous as per always Morgan! MORGAN! Pls read - Coming off birth control after being on it for 9 years was the best decision of my life!!! Not having a normal hormonal menstrual cycle ever in my existence, blew my mind. I don’t think i’ll ever go back to hormonal birth control. Lots of people say it takes three months to regulate back to your body being completely “off” birth control - just so you know. Just keep up with your skin care and also replace the pill with lots of vitamins and you should be fine! ☺️
this is great advice. unfortunately a lot of people won’t do this and think they are the exception. going to a functional practitioner or naturopath is ideal.
