RaptorNX01 Scratch the air rippling, that only happens for explosions. That was just a collision, so there wouldn't be much a shock wave to ripple the air. The sound delay though: definitely.

Really all it would have taken was delaying the meteor and collision sounds by 3-4 seconds which still isn't real but doesn't make it unnecessarily lengthy or boring... Come on guys, it ruined such great collision modelling you have done :/
Animation and stuff are perfect. The impact sound is way too early. Even in a football stadium it takes a second to get from one stand to the opposite side, so here the booms should've been 4 to 5 seconds after the impact. Anyways. Great work. ;-)
A sonic blast from a meteor like they showed here entering earth's atmosphere at the size that it is still burning bright during impact after taking out a tower of that size not only would of sounded louder than multiple nuclear blasts all at once but would have also ripped their skin off while tossing them back in pieces lmao. The Russian meteor some few years back had a fireball and flash that barely lasted two seconds at no where even close to the CG one they showed here and that one blew in industrial garage doors, windows, etc multiple miles away from entry from the sonic blast alone.
